African-American state lawmakers from Virginia will boycott President Trump’s scheduled speech in Jamestown on Tuesday at a ceremony to commemorate the 400th anniversary of representative democracy in the Western Hemisphere, citing the president’s inflammatory comments about critics of color.
The Virginia Legislative Black Caucus, which represents members of the House of Delegates and State Senate, said in a statement that its members cannot “in good conscience sit silently” as a president who has promoted racial divisions is given such a prominent platform. Mr. Trump is due to fly to Virginia and speak at the Jamestown Settlement Museum at 11:15 a.m.

Why would they have come anyway? Didn't this country have its origins in racism? Please be consistent and just show your TRUE colors gentlemen. Hint. Hint. It has nothing to do with the hue of your skin.

See, President Trump's strategy is working. There will be less racists present for a wonderful public event and it's all because he is not afraid to tell the truth about racists. Thank you once again, Mr. President - we just keep winning!

That is the BIG LIE! Pres. Trump has NEVER promoted racial divisions. The New York Times has promoted racial divisions in order to help get rid of Pres. Trump. Those so-called black law makers in Virginia who allowed the black AG remain in office after two black women accused him of sexual assault should be ashamed of themselves. They won't be missed.

From what I recall of history, Jamestown was settled by white Brits. What has this to do with the Black caucus and Trump?

Looks like the local Gov can cut the police and sanitation crews in half.

Let's have a good, old fashioned auction! Re-enact a slave auction... Let America see how far we actually have come. A long overdo history lesson to the ungrateful blacks that desire "reparations". If you want reparations go talk to Great Britain and the Tribal Chiefs that hunted your ancestors down and sold them to the Brits. Slavery was the product of British owned America... The United States ENDED slavery. Your welcome!!!!!!!

The real reason all of this “racist” nonsense is being tossed at Trump is because he is the ONLY president who has really helped the African American community! Lower unemployment and prison reform are just two of the areas! If he captures even a small percent of the black vote these hate filled democrates are DONE! The American public sees and Trump is highlighting just what democrate leadership looks like! Baltimore,Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, .............. no one wants anymore of this!

1619 was a big year for Virginia (a former Spanish overseas province called Virginia).... the first European women were brought in to see if anyone wanted to marry them, the first black people who later became slaves were brought in, and the House of Burgesses was founded
They had already built the Governor's House on top of the old Portuguese trading post ~ likely there as early as 1531...
Oh, and most importantly, the rains returned and this near desert with nothing but brackish water to drink would soon begin growing exportable tobacco products like crazy!
The 70 year drought ENDED!

Speaking of black Virginia lawmakers, let's talk about the lieutenant governor of the state. Why is he still in office? Why hasn't he resigned, as any Republican would have been forced to do? While we're at it, why are the governor and attorney general of Virginia still in office?
I'll tell you exactly why. Double standard for Democrats.

Every day and night millions of us pray together for President Trump [with faith in the promise of Matt. 18: 19, etc.] We pray for his protection, his heart, his energy and health, his family, that he has genius advisors, Christian counselors, supernatural wisdom and strategy, for his salvation, for love that is greater than knowledge [Ephesians somewhere], that the deluded and criminal deep state that put a $22trillion curse on our children, either be saved or hanged, that the invasion be stopped, that America be restored and revived, and so on. Every day we are astonished that this ONE vigorous man, unhesitating with his answers, never surrendering, hated by our "Pharisees" and elites, still understanding "fame is fleeting", living now a life worthy of his calling, still stands and succeeds for us, and is so much more than any politician in America and the Western world. Right up there with Washington and Lincoln. Truly God has his hand on him.

I don't think there were any blacks at the original Jamestown, so PDT could thank those black 'lawmakers' for making the re-enactment authentic.

They don't want to go because there is no way to make Jamestown's founding all about the blacks. They can only make it all about them if they whine. stamp their feet, pout and yell about how they're not coming.
I'm a proud descendant of married Ancient Planters of Jamestown. I wish I could go! Hearing President Trump would be the frosting on the cake.
