“Beyond Meat” is a newly marketed meat substitute that is all the rage. Everywhere you turn, there’s a story hyping up this unnatural, processed product meant to replace good old American meat. One iteration of the fake meat product, the “impossible burger,” is even available in fast food form at Burger King in an “Impossible Whopper.”
Self Magazine tells you that this item is convincing meat eaters to eat plant burgers (not this meat eater.) CNN comforts you with the news that the “impossible burger” shortage is over. The company has numerous high-profile partnerships including Dunkin’ Donuts, Tim Hortons, Blue Apron, TGIFs and Del Taco. What a success, right?

I could never understand why vegetarians and vegans would want to consume meat replica and meat flavored products. There are plenty of reviews of this fake meat on Youtube. The fake meat even "bleeds". Is that what vegans and vegetarians are secretly craving?

Yuch. No chance I will even try out one of these soylent meat monstrosities. Sorry, a quick scan over the ingredients leaves me CERTAIN to never try it. Nothing on that list that I normally eat, with the coconut oil, soybean oil and salt being the only things that I might ever eat. The rest are all some sort of extracts or processed goop pulled out of various things with unknown chemical processes.
I want a piece of dead cow when I order beef.

When my late husband was getting over quadruple heart bypass we both ate veggie burgers and liked them. Nothing wrong with the fake meat for those who shouldn't eat red meat, or fat.

I'm not against a new variation of food if it's healthy and tastes good. However, I wouldn't consider it as a replacement for red meat, but just an alternative like chicken or fish. Of course, the objective of the movement is thoroughly wrapped up in the climate change scam, and they want to eliminate meat entirely.

I looked it up on my WW app and a “burger” has 8 points. That’s no bargain for me. I’ll take the beef. And turkey burgers are pretty good too.

When most people have zero interest, it tends to take the wind out of a product.
I thought Blue Apron had folded.

Anyone remember the red slime fiasco that leftists and foodies attacked McDonald's over? Come to find out, it was a total scam- a huge pack of lies and CBS (See? BS!) carried the water for that just as they did the BS over the exploding gas tanks and the attack on the America VW- the Corvair. This is all driven by stock market manipulations for the really huge money people in the world. They know exactly what they are doing...Believe me, $162.00 a share is not a bargain stock that is just entering the market. It is a game the big boys and girls play. I would never eat one of these frankenburgers just for that reason alone!

I'm old enough to remember the "meat shortage" of the '70's and the big push for soy burgers which were ground beef and soy combined. It was quite a fad at the time and lasted maybe a year. I'll not be buying stock in fake meat companies.

At a physical, my family Dr. asked about my red meat consumption. He wasn't worried about pork, chicken or seafood, and we eat a lot of seafood here on the Louisiana Gulf Coast. When I told him I had red meat at least twice a week, he informed me that he hadn't eaten red meat in so long, that he thought he was going to grow feathers. All I could say was, "I feel sorry for you!"

I have cut back on my meat consumption for reasons of heart health and reducing my cholesterol without medication. I am not tempted to eat fake meat products. Just having a little of the real thing, perhaps 3-6 ounces a day, is satisfying and I eat "real food" with it, not processed junk.

I guess "tanking" is a relative term for the stock. It still up over 600% from its IPO so the early investors are way ahead. I actually don't mind the cooked Beyond Meat burger when my vegan family members make them on occasion. With enough seasoning and condiments they taste pretty good but I won't be giving up my rib eyes and baby back ribs anytime soon. What I can't stand is the way the raw product smells. Its not very appetizing and not as fresh smelling a real beef.

Sounds revolting!! And the best thing about real beef, for those of us with dietary allergies, is that in its uncooked form, it is gluten free, dairy free, sodium free, soy free and chemical additive free. Same with raw poultry and fish.

I eat them and really like them. They’re great with barbecue sauce. I don’t eat meat due to very high cholesterol inherited from my mother who died of heart failure when she was the age that I am now. Don’t knock them until you’ve tried them.
And no, they don’t “bleed”, they just stay pink in the middle.

No offense to those who can't eat meat. I just know with leftists, their goal is to deny all of us the privilege of enjoying meat or life.
