Friday at her weekly press briefing on Capitol Hill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said the House of Representatives is investigating President Donald Trump’s “finances, personal business” in their next step toward possible impeachment. When asked about running out the clock on impeachment, Pelosi said, “I’m not trying to run out the clock. Let’s get sophisticated about this, OK? We’ll proceed when we have what we need to proceed. Not one day sooner. And everybody has the liberty and luxury to espouse their own position and to criticize me for trying to go down the path in the most determined, positive way.

Pelosi continued, "And if that doesn't work, we will try to find a video of Trump spitting on the sidewalk."

Wouldn't an examination of Pelosi's personal finances be equally beneficial to the country?

The mental illness is escalating to a level of a primeval plague. They have been bitten by rats and fleas and it has turned into a brain-eating amoeba that is destroying all normal brain function and reasoning, and they have turned into America hating Trump obsessed zombies.

What finances?
He's giving away his POTUS salary - working for FREE.
He's likely in a blind trust type situation, and his children run the Trump enterprises.

Barney Pelosi, wandering the streets of Mayberry, D.C., citation book in hand, just LOOKING for violations to write.
A man steps off the curb to walk around the barricades blocking a newly poured section of sidewalk. Barney Pelosi comes running up. "That there's a four-oh-two. Jaywalking. You're under arrest!"
What a bunch of rubes. I suggest the DOJ begin looking into Jerry Nadler's finances. I'm sure Nancy hired the talent to keep all her affairs straight, but I'll bet Fat Jerry didn't.

How were Barry Soetoro's Occidental College expenses funded? Columbia? Harvard Law?
Real estate transaction/gifting involving Tony Rezko?
How about his political financing thru foreign internet/online contributions with residency verification turned off?
How many million$ did he get for a book that sold virtually none?
How many million$ to 'produce' original content for Netflix?
You get my drift. No curiosity about Barry the Fraud.

Aren't you supposed to have probable cause before you go investigating someone for an a crime? Isn't there supposed to be an actual crime -- or at least evidence of a possible crime -- before an investigation commences? Is there not supposed to be a presumption of innocence until proven guilty?
If there is justice in the world, the likes of San Fran Nan will be humiliated on General Election Day 2020.

Sounds to me as though they've already decided on the punishment, now just need to find evidence of a crime. Isn't our justice system supposed to work a little differently than that?

I guess SOME people put these fools in office to harrass the president nonstop and ignore the business of the country. I sure didn't, and I would imagine some right-thinking Dimms are getting sick of it. However, when your motto is "by any means necessary, one for all and all for one (world government, that is)" then this makes COMPLETE sense!
For those of us who live in reality, it's perhaps time to start beating those plow shares into swords!

The democrats will not stop until either Trump leaves office, they loose the majority or actually find an impeachable offense. If they maintain the house, expect this to continue for another 5+ years.
Democrats wont be satisfied until Trump is gone.

Someone forgot to tell Nasty that impeachment is for high crimes and misdemeanors committed WHILE IN OFFICE. Or maybe, in her dementia, she has forgotten. His finances are of no concern at all. Heck, he’s not even accepting a paycheck for a job that he works 20 hours a day, every day.
So, go ahead, Nasty. Stay on it right up until Election Day next year and don’t accomplish anything else. You think you hate PDT now? Just wait until we reelect him!

The Trump “colluded” with the Russians Democrat and Clinton operative run scam has crashed and burned after Robert Mueller showed the world that he really had little or nothing to do with the special counsel investigation and report. So Nancy Pelosi is now talking about investigating Donald Trump’s business deals, finances, and tax returns that occurred years before he was elected President, without setting out any legitimate predication, or legitimate legislative purpose, other than trying to find a way to undo the 2016 election by removing Trump from office through future impeachment proceedings for some reason not yet discovered. Apparently they have set out on that endeavor by sending a court petition to the Federal District Court in DC addressed specifically to an Obama appointed Federal Judge asking that she essentially aid the Democrats in that political agenda.

Dearest Nancy, seems all the botox has gummed up the few existing brain cells that you have remaining. The President's finances and tax returns have been thoroughly vetted; his business and personal associates have been checked out as well. I also imagine the same was done with the Trump kids. You see, Nancy the military left no stone unturned in their quest to destroy the deep state ( guess what????? that means YOU!!!!!!)
They had to make sure the President was clean prior to asking him to run.
So....... you can waste more of the people's time and put on another dog and pony show but it will only delay the inevitable and you'll have one more failure under your belt.
You cannot stop what will happen. YOU CANNOT.

This is blatant harassment of a citizen of the United States by Congress. It doesn't matter if he is President or not, his finances and personal business prior to becoming President are not up for discussion. In fact then why are not Pelosi's finances and all members of Congress finances being investigated? I am sure that there are a lot of unseemly deals that they have made to line their pockets as members of Congress. Also should not the Clinton's finances be investigated, they were dirt poor while in Arkansas and now have multi-million dollar bank accounts but have never had a job except that which is government???????

They start with the premise that he must be impeached and look for a way to justify it. They really want to impeach him for beating Saint Hillary the Inevitable.

Any analysis of impeachment should include the fact that it would have zero probability of being sustained in the Republican Senate.

There really needs to be an investigation into the finances of the 3rd person in line for the Presidency, and we really need to see the tax returns and financial statements of anyone running for President.

I still think Nancy and the Democrats are missing the most open-and-shut case on how they can catch Donald Trump.
I'm pretty certain he had his maids tear that "Do Not Remove Under Penalty of Law" tag off his hotel mattresses. Just get a couple of them to turn, and I'll even start yelling, "Impeach 45, Impeach 45!" with Auntie Maxine!
