Far-left “Squad” member Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) spoke at the NAACP convention over the weekend and railed against the GOP tax cuts in a pitch for her anti-poverty BOOST Act, promising to take money from the rich and give it “back to the people that earned it.”
Tlaib introduced her anti-poverty legislation – the Building Our Opportunities to Survive and Thrive (BOOST) Act – last month and spoke about it at the NAACP convention over the weekend. The proposal offers a guaranteed income – up to $6,000 per year – to families and individuals under certain financial thresholds via a “refundable tax credit that can be paid monthly.”

If she TRULY wanted to give it to the people who earned it, there would be NO MONEY as everyone would get 100% of their money and the federal Leviathan would have NO MONEY TO SPEND on their socialist agenda--
Where would all the money come to pay for all the spending that she would want to do? There are not enough rich people to get money from.... cutting her own head off in this insane proposal
$6,000 per year??? What a joke!

I guess this is a spin on Obama's "If you've got a business — you didn't build that. Somebody else made that happen." this time it is " If you've got money in your savings — you did not earn that. Somebody else earned it for you"

I gave a crazy idea. How about YOU lead by example.
I dont think that I earn enough given my skillset etc. But she isnt talking about getting my wages increased. She's talking about taxing me more so that she can give it to the unskilled hamburger flipper or layabout.

That’s quite a primitive thought process. If it wasn’t for rich people most people wouldn’t have jobs in the first place. The fact that there are rich people should be the incentive for others to improve themselves to be more successful.

Wife: Honey, I don't feel like cooking tonight. Could we get a pizza?
Husband: No. I only have $2000 dollars left from my paycheck, and I have to gas up the car tomorrow.
(Hyperinflation is no joke. Do you people understand that?)

Does anybody else get the feeling that the 2020 democrat agenda was made up in some modern version of Bedlam and passed on to these stupid, obnoxious mouthpieces to be used in the absence of anything that would benefit the country? Most of the parasites that they want to give everything to already accumulate far more than $6000 a year in goods and services. It must fill the dems with great pride knowing that their base is made up of the silt at the bottom of a pond.

Does that mean they get free medical care and transportation, food stamps, free housing AND $6000 a month? Why work?

She proposed a $20/hour wage yesterday for restaurant servers (in my day they were waiters and waitresses). Idiotic idea that would destroy the restaurant business. People don't understand why so many restaurants go out of business, it's tough enough to make it and I know of many people who take no salary to keep things going. Socialists are idiots for thinking that just because someone is an employer that they have deep pockets.

So pumpkin what are you going to do when you discover people will not pay $20 for a Big Mac? Products are priced as they are, input costs are managed as they are, based on how all people collectively decide things and services are valued, one person one vote. People get paid what they get paid based on how many people can and are willing to do what they do and how well they do it. Do I think ball players are worth millions, no so I don't go. But my neighbors do and it's none of my business.
Do you want to pay your brain surgeon the same as the kid who cuts your grass? Guess what, other than some uber rich nobody would pay $1,000 to get their grass cut. A lose-lose, for the kid and for the busy family that wants their grass cut.

Sweetie, it has already been tried in this country. What do you know about the Mayflower Compact?
Why don't you start a non-profit to set up your BOOST program? (Will 'rich' people donate to it?) The US Treasury is not your piggy bank.

Who is paying her to spew this garbage ? She is pandering to the illiterate and angry. One step away from the View. So, let's suppose you won the Powerball. Now you have to give the rest of us 70%. Still like it?
If she cares so much about the underdog, why isn't she fighting for the elderly and disabled earning under $1000 a month on SS? Or any other candidate?
