The election of Donald Trump has pulled American debate away from objectivity and turned publications into actors in a political battle. After Donald Trump’s election, the New Yorker magazine lost no time nailing its colors to the anti-Trump mast.
David Remnick, its editor, lamented that Obama – a ‘man of integrity, dignity, and generous spirit’ – was being supplanted by ‘vulgarity unbounded, a knowledge-free national leader’ who would ‘set markets tumbling’, ‘strike fear into the hearts of the vulnerable, the weak’ etc. This set the tone for the magazine’s subsequent reporting.
Oh Alan, Alan, Alan. Is that flop sweat I see on your big brilliant, liberal, Clinton loving forehead? I’ve watched you chase fame and adulation for years. Enjoy baby! Enjoy!

This is the first time I've read that Virginia Roberts Giuffre made stories up. If true this spells trouble. I also have to admit up until this last arrest of Epstein I only knew the basics. Going to get interesting.

Alan, didn't you say earlier that you did get a massage at one of Epstein's residences? You sound like you are running scared. I would be too.

I guess they don't teach English composition at Harvard. I agree with #3. Dershowitz also writes: "Neither are anything but independent – since both women were groomed by the same lawyers to lie about me for financial gain."
The first phrase is badly written and means the opposite of what Dershowitz is trying to say. The dash before "since" isn't needed and doesn't help.
I don't know whether he's guilty or not, but he's not writing or thinking clearly at this point.

Is Alan Dershowitz being falsely smeared? Absolutely. The allegations that have made it to court have been proven false. The other allegations? Well we know the hate-Trump left.

He should have written “Neither is” and “not true.” I think he dashed this off too fast. Have someone proofread your articles, Alan. I really don’t know what to make of these allegations. He has no way, really, to defend himself except in the media. I hope Alan has sympathy for Justice Kavanaugh.

If the story has been completely discredited previously, why does Dershowitz sound so defensive? And if all the accusations have been proven false, why would the New Yorker even bother bringing them up again—-especially against such a legal powerhouse?
Methinks Alan doth protest too much.

I'm going to go ahead and wait for the document dump, flight logs, etc. However, if you rode on the Lolita Express when underaged kids were onboard and if you went to Orgy Island while underage kids were there, you weren't singing gospel songs.

It took a lot of courage to stand up for Kavanaugh when he was being pilloried (I have a lawyer friend who thought no corroboration was just dandy) and to stand up for Trump, even though he is not for the man, during the Mueller "investigation", and I suspect that is one of the reasons he is being attacked now. (Of course, the fact that he is/was an Epsteine lawyer is not a goodie: I am sick of hearing that everyone deserves a defense, which is true...but if you are a lawyer who knows the man is guilty up front, and how could you not, ten let some OTHER lawyer tae the case.)

Patterson book details Dersh's settlement with her lawyers to hush this up. His testimony regarding his superb memory is hilarious. Book recounts Epstein's #1 girl as having sex with the splotchy professor in 4 time zones. He was reamed on witness stand. When the facts are agin' you, pound the table!

I know nothing about Mr. Dershowitz’s personal life but I highly doubt that these accusations are true. Just another political hit job. It must make him feel like a Republican. I would say that when you associate either personally or professionally with worms like Epstein will end up being tainted. Lie down with dogs and get up with fleas.

As to why Dershowitz is responding when he has already been proven to be other places when these supposed interactions took place, I have to assume the man is just sick and tired, not to mention freaked out, that this goes on and on DESPITE EVIDENCE TO THE CONTRARY. I was a subscriber to New York mag from its first issue, and the New Yorker for years as well, but got so sick of their total bias that I jumped ship as did so many others.....these are now TINY mags, and they are desperate to keep advertisers. I was in a Drs office yesterday and saw a New York cover of the aged woman who claims Trump raped her at Bergdorf's---it was almost laughable. But there are plenty of nut cases, and also intelligent Democratic friends of mine, who are more than willing to take the cover as fact. Ditto the Dershowitz allegations. I have a very intelligent friend who says the Mueller Report shows Trump is "guilty".

I believe Alan Dershowitz. With that said, why haven't these women been charged filing perjurous (sp?) affidavits? And, why hasn't the lawyer who conjured up the whole mess been disbarred? Holding people accountable for lying under oath would be an excellent deterrent.

These are not new, out of thin air accusations. Three years ago I’d
read that Alan Dershowitz Esq. had taken trips to Pedo Island on the
Lolita Express. It came out as an aside when the MSM was scoffing
at pizzagate as a conspiracy theory.
Now Professor (emeritus) Dershowitz is inviting his accuser to repeat
her claims so he can sue her. Says he can prove re the dates she listed
he was somewhere else. She may have gotten the precise dates wrong but Dershowitz’ name is in the aircraft log as a passenger. Boom!

I am no apologist for Democrats or Republicans for that matter. Perhaps there is fire, perhaps there is arson, as he suggests. I am concerned in this case that there is a rush to believe, with nothing other than rumor or innuendo, based on political or personal biases. We know that Epstein was a sexual predator. We know That Bill Clinton was a sexual predator. We know that Clinton, so far, has been lying about the number of times he was on the Lolita Express. Do we know that he has had sex with those minors? No because there is no evidence at this point. That is why there is a investigation. We know enough to suspect in his case where the is fire, it is a fire he has lit. As far as Dershowitz, we have no evidence one way or the other. There is not to my memory any previous record of sexual predation or even of his being sexual libertine, as with the horn dog Clinton. If we give way to prejudging someone based on news reports as we have certainly seen so often in the past which eventually proved to be false or overblown, we give away one of the greatest elements of Legal Justice in the US, the presumption of innocence till proven guilty in court. I don't know about the rest of you but I value that right and would not like to face the might of governmental legal power, or the power of the lying MSM to indict and convict me out of court without that presumption of innocence.

Remember that Comey´s daughter, she of the pink hat like her mother, is running this investigation. They already got rid of Alex Acosta for actually sending Epstein to jail while the Democrats of Palm Beach were to set him free. They are coming for Dershowitz now, Trump next, and Clinton never. Reason: Epstein gave the first 4 million for the Clinton Family Foundation Global Initiative. The Department of Injustice is coming for US next. The coup perpetrators need to be indicted soon: James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Sally Yates, James Baker, Peter Strozk, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, Michael Sussman, Nellie Ohr, Stefan Halper, Josef Mifsud, Loreta Lynch, Brennan, James Clapper, Victoria Nuland, Sidney Blumenthal, Hillary Clinton and Hussein Obola.

I think Alan is indeed running scared here. Fear can cloud the normally clear thinking of a fellow like Alan. If you visited the Epstein residence and did get a massage, what other things did you get? Even if it was just an innocent massage, getting it from underage girls is still a no no. I am torn on both Dersh and even Prince Andrew here. Both might be on the innocent side, but boy do they give the appearance of anything BUT. Dershowitz knows the cliche, best defense is a good offense. So we are going to be reading a lot of offending from a lot of players I suspect.

Alan baby ... calm down. And welcome to the world of Republicans and the application of vicious, disgusting double-standards of "moral outrage". How's it feel? Kind of like what Brett Kavanaugh and Clarence Thomas felt like? However,, there seems to be more real facts against you than there was against either of them!
The new standard of your Lefty buddies is: Prove you didn't do what I'm accusing you of! Kinda sucks to be you, don't it?
Sadly, when it is all said and done pathetic old Alan will vote straight Democrat in 2020.

Dershie has always been a Klintoon-loving leftist weasel.
Like the Venezuelans who voted for socialism and who are now reaping that whirlwind - - Dershie is now facing the payoff for being a lifelong leftist puke.
A pox on him - - and on everyone whom he has ever voted for.

You never know, if some young woman showed old Dershowitz the varmint anything could have happened, but that does not mean that he violated any law. Forget about Prince Andrew as you can bet that he always traveled with a diplomatic passport and visa that effectively insulated him from being indicted or prosecuted by any country, including the USA where he happened to travel.
