President Trump took Paul Ryan to the woodshed on Thursday night — ripping the former speaker on Twitter for having an “atrocious” record and becoming “a long running lame duck failure” who left his party “in the lurch.”“Couldn’t get him out of Congress fast enough!” Trump tweeted. The president appeared to be lashing out at Ryan in response to a Washington Post report that included excerpts from a new book by Politico’s Tim Alberta, in which the ex-speaker claimed to have grown “numb” to Trump’s “bad” decision-making.“Paul Ryan, the failed V.P. candidate & former Speaker of the House, whose record of achievement was atrocious

Donald Trump said nice things about Ryan when Ryan retired, but Ryan wasn't smart enough to keep his mouth shut, and now gets Trump's truthful opinion. I agree with Trump - Ryan squandered his majority, lied to Trump about funding for the wall, and was in general a duplicitous SOB, trying to undermine Trump at every turn because he thought Trump would be run out of office by Mueller's hit squad. Good riddance!

Trump is (almost) always gracious when someone leaves.
What constitutes "bad" decisions in Ryan's mind are usually those that go against the Uniparty. multi-nationalist, globalist cabal within the Republican Party.

#1 - Unless I am mistaken, PDT endorsed Mitt for Senator of Utah in January 2018.
This is all about 2020 and PDT's re-election. This Dump Trump coup effort has run like a Road Runner cartoon. But the part of Wily Coyote is being played by a wide cast that includes both Uniparty divisions: The Democrats and the GOPe, who are in an existential fight for life with this outsider who doesn't need their money or fame. Ryan's book is just another in a series of things comprising a continuum to get rid of PDT. It is effective in the sense that PDT supporters are yowling, giving the media more reason to trumpet Ryan's rubbish.
With the advent of the Mueller hearings, recent rape charges, Epstein, and this book, the coal is being shoveled on the fire to keep the train moving down the tracks until the real campaign season opens after Labor Day. Then it will be Katie bar the door...and Mitt is standing in the wings to pick up the Uniparty GOPe pieces.

Paul Ryan turned out to be a dopey sad sack of a person. With nothing to claim for himself he turned to trying to tear down a much stronger man, a real man, who showed he could outperform him at every turn.

Well, #4, President Trump will not be hurt by this filthy Epstein situation. He threw him out of Mar A Lago years ago and was never allowed back. FACT.
I am not worried about the likes of little Ryan who is without honor. I am not worried about Mitt who has been outted as a self-serving treacherous little worm. These two globalists will not prevail against what God is doing for America through Trump. (In fact, God help both of them as they plot against what God is doing.)

#7 - Epstein is simply part of the repetition meant to advance the public conversation keeping the Uniparty "Dump Trump" effort on track and moving through the summer. It's not a question of true or not, or to "worry" MAGA Trump supporters. It's propaganda, like all propaganda, meant to plant a seed of doubt in those who are less than true believers, to have a cumulative effect developing doubt sufficient to change behavior. "Yeah, sure, the economy is great, but Trump is creepy, and I won't vote for him (again)."

Please excuse second post in order to agree with #8. Yes indeed and these type sabotages of conservatives are nothing new with the GOP establishment globalists.

This morning, Pres. Trump said Ryan was a "baby" that "didn't know what he was doing". I have to concur.
Ryan wasted 2 yrs. of Pres. Trump's administration with only the tax cut to show for it, when he could have addressed the border and other pressing issues. We all know the RINOs do not want to do anything at the border and that includes McConnell. I sure hope he is primaried. It is time for him to go too.

I don't think Ryan should have been able to announce his resignation to be effective at a much later date and continue to run things in the House. He was a lot of things that aren't nice to say but I guess I can say he was and still is a weasel. At times I thought he was working for the other side. He certainly failed at his job, failed the President and the American people.

The President was spot on! But there were a lot of Republicans who considered Ryan just 'perfect'. Not sure what was lacking in there brain. Everyone could see on a daily basis what a duplicitous traitor Ryan was!

Ryan, one of the three Amigos. John Roberts, McCain and Ryan. Instead of doing what was right for Americans, they let their dislikes stab Americans in the back. Mittens is certainly taking mccains spot

#13 nails it.
I watched that debate and Ryan was either intentionally "throwing" the debate or is very stupid, or at MINIMUM, a slow witted person who cannot think on his feet.
In any case, after that, I had NO use for Ryan - traitor or moron, whichever it is, makes no difference to me.

Lost in the sauce here is the fact that when the Speakership came open NOBODY in the GOP House delegation (including the "freedom caucus") wanted the job or was willing to run for it. We got stuck with Ryan because our side left the field open to him. Same with Romney in Utah - no serious competition.
