USWNT Uses Gender Discrimination

The U.S. National Women’s National Team (USWNT) used paper from their gender discrimination lawsuit as confetti during their victory parade in New York on Wednesday. At one point, goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris said “pay us bitch” as her teammate Allie Long chewed on a piece of the confetti. (Snip) pay gap is far from just “gender bias,” the reason there is a pay gap between the men and the women is that the men bring in many more fans, and millions of dollars more in revenue than the women’s soccer. The pay gap is about economics, not gender bias.

Comments:

I remember once when a very nice gay man I knew said there was nothing meaner on the earth than a lesbian… This crowd has trashed what could have been its greatest lift for their sport. They’re not just mean; they’re stupid...

These women have made themselves toxic. It remains to be seen if corporate America recognizes this.

If I were to watch soccer, I’d prefer to watch it on Telemundo or the other Mexican channel - all in Spanish - and hear that announcer do his “GOOOOOOOOOOO-AL”. Far more entertaining than these gender-confused ball-kicker/whiners...

In the past, MLB and NFL players have gone on strike over contract issues but I don't recall athletes from any league ever turning their victory parade into a protest over pay. What an odd, angry group this team is.

This is very simple; the women's soccer team is selling a product that has few buyers. If they believe they are underpaid, quit and find a job that pays more for playing women's soccer or improve your product. Although they appear to believe it is all about them, it just isn't; its about an arrogant, entitlement, insulting product that no one wants to buy.

I wouldn't pay them a dime let alone waste one minute of my life watching one of the most boring sports ever televised. Watching three year olds run around chasing a ball with no other purposes than the joy of kicking the ball is far more entertaining. Come to think of it how different is it really? And please don't start telling me how I don't understand the sport and that's why I don't appreciate it's complexities.

Every time one of these female soccer players opens their mouth I think " FOUL MOUTHED ANGRY LESBIAN!". I do not think great job winning the Women's World Cup or great athletes. These women should be happy for their achievements. Instead, they dwell on their anger at the world and apparently life in general. It must be terrible to go through life being so angry about everything and feeling they need to swear every other word.

I think most people believe in equal pay for equal work. But clearly, female athletes in any sport involving strength and speed can not compete equally with men. That is biology, not prejudice. There are hundreds of men's soccer teams that could easily beat the best all-star group of women soccer players that you could form a team with. That is just reality. Sane women know that and accept it. But I'm truly beginning to believe that femi-nazism and lesbianism are clearly both severe mental illnesses!!!!

Earlybird, #7, most professional women can tell you that lesbians are especially mean towards obviously straight women. This applies in both academic and business situations. I had a near career ender due to two lesbian women in an ad agency I worked in early in my career, and while in college two fully out lesbians (and this was in the 1970s!) made trouble for both my sweetie at the time and me. This soccer team makes me want to vomit because they are so obviously hateful towards this great country that supported them through Title 7 and on a national team. I do not wish any of them, save the one who picked up the flag after their win, well, nor the press raving about them now. (You'll find that in a few years, most of them will not be doing well.)

I remember hearing a term, years ago, about people who showed poor behavior and insensitivity in their speech, that shed a bad light on America. The term was ''Ugly American.'' It was used mostly to describe tourists visiting other countries who were crass, inconsiderate, and insensitive to those people. I say that the USWNT demonstrated that they are ugly Americans! No wonder some foreigners think America is bad!

I think that since their behavior is so unsportsman like the powers that be should just disband that group since they are not financially viable. It’s a comparison of self-promoting rhetoric vs actual results. Barack Obama’s photo-op foreign policy of bowing and grinning garnered no respect among Chinese officials while President Trump’s tough-as-nails approach has done the opposite. Mr. Obama shrugged at the thought of millions of Americans losing jobs to the Chinese. President Trump said ENOUGH and went to work to remedy the decades-long imbalance between the two nations. Now, even some former Obama-era officials are admitting the Trump approach is working. Imagine that. (Tweet)
