The Democratic-run House will decide Tuesday whether to put at least 300,000 Indian contract workers on a fast track to valuable green cards, so incentivizing more low wage Indian graduates to take U.S. jobs from middle class American graduates. Roughly 108 Republicans have co-sponsored the green card giveaway, called HR.1044 or the “”Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019” — even though the Democrats’ legislation is backed by Silicon Valley investors who oppose the GOP.

This is the BS that Trump is faced with within his own party. Our gvt. reps love to give away our stuff, but if you take anything that they feel belongs to them then watch out! Hey GOP-start paying attention to US citizens first and foremost because we're the ones who vote.

Why only people from India?
They want everything for nothing once they get here.

Indians, holding down the wages of highly educated Americans.
Thieves.
And the damned Republicans supporting this should here from their constituents. This is the kind of thing that ruins the middle class, and prevents Americans from choosing higher education. Can't move the job to India? Then bring in Indians to do it at low wages HERE, and Congress will HELP, damn them.

300,000 jobs that could go to Americans. Instead they go to Indians, and neither party seems to care.

These 108 Republicans are very much mainstream members of the Uniparty (Republican Division). There is no such thing as a RINO. We indeed have the best government money can buy.

I don't care about fairness for immigrants. How about fairness for American citizens, who these congressmen are supposed to represent?

Yes, and all these H-1B visa people will be working at our military and nuclear sites, all top secret. Then we wonder how all our national secrets are immediately available to countries overseas.

The fully loaded annual cost of a US citizen software engineer is over $200,000. An equally qualified Indian H1-B holder, who has come in legally, costs $75,000. People here are comparing it to an MS-13 gang member coming over the border. There needs to be a ceiling on these visas but we must have some perspective.

It is the H4 program that is particularly corrupt and painful. Much worse than the H1-B.
H1-B is an arbitrage game. Big companies hire Indians for enough less than Americans
that they can sell their services to American Companies and pocket the difference.
TCS and INFOSYS and their ilk keep American salaries low. And, work their people
at even lower wages with threats to send them back to India if they don't bill enough hours.

The final insult is that sometimes the American workers have to train the Indian employees for their jobs!

The leftist and liberal Democrats will vote for this measure because it will eventually allow for most of those citizens of India to be granted duel citizenship status with US voting rights, with large numbers of them being socialist oriented, and desiring to bring additional hundreds of thousands of their foreign family members into the USA, will become natural future Democrat socialist voters. The Republicans will vote for this measure as those Citizens of India constitute a mass of cheap foreign labor who can be hired by their business related supporters. This is just another instance of when it comes to immigration legislation and policy matters, that the American workers who must compete for jobs against all that foreign labor, or who are trying to keep their wages from being diminished, are still the perpetual third man or woman out as far as the entrenched “UniParty” politicians in Congress are concerned.

This is total B.S. They will stay here and chain migrate all their elderly parents here for Medicare. I see them all the time in Dallas. It's disgusting, and they don't make good Engineers. All book knowledge without independent thought. The children do seem to dominate the Spelling Bees, however.
Around this part of the country when we spoke about "Indians" it went without saying we were talking about those aboriginal peoples we also call "Native Americans"... today if you say, "Indian" people assume it's the IT guy from India.

I've been in the IT Program/Project Management business as an employee and contractor for 30 years. Most corporate IT shops are probably approaching 50% Indian labor now and they are increasing. They will work for 1/3 of the money I use to demand and now my hourly charges have fallen as a result. Are they effective? 20% Maybe! There are huge cultural and language issues. I have interviewed candidates for positions and didn't understand a word they said for 30 minutes. (Then I was informed that I couldn't say that! LOL! I said, I don't care, i can't understand him!) They hired him and he was gone in 60 days because...wait for it...nobody could understand him!!! Along with this invasion, HUGE IT departments have simply been outsourced to India! I had to do daily 7:30 AM CDT calls with the accounts payable department for a Fortune 500 because they were all in India! Thanks DC! Another screw up costing American's jobs!
