Americans by a wide margin agree with President Trump that the upcoming 2020 census should ask a citizenship question. The latest Economist/YouGov poll found that 53% feel it should ask the question versus 32% who don’t. The survey asked: “Do you think the federal government should or should not ask people whether they are American citizens as part of the 2020 census?" Should ask 53%- Should not ask 32% - Not sure 14%

The Demon-Rats could care less about what the lowly peasants want!!! It's that simple.
The Demon-Rats only care about getting and keeping power!!! Period!!!
So polls only mean something to Demon-Rats when they reinforce their fascist dictatorial ambitions!!!

This controversy is wholly idiotic. No legal reason blocking the question for inclusion by the Census Bureau. I cannot believe John Roberts is effectively stopping this by his own volition based on the law or Constitution...not after the Obamacare decision.

Fulfilling the election requirements in the 14th Amendment requires knowing who is a citizen for purposes of creating Congressional districts.

Be real! Do you think for one minute another lie is going to make any difference about who they are or where they came from.

If they don't print the citizenship question on the census form, take it upon yourself to WRITE it in.

If illegals and non-citizens are counted in the census, then its fair to say illegals alone could constitute 17 congressional seats alone. Remove the illegals from the count and California along with the border states and we are talking about serious re-apportionment.
I'm not interested in the needs and wants of non-US citizens. EVERYONE of them are free to go back to their own countries. And I'm sure as hell not interested in paying their way. Not when we have our own homeless and seriously disadvantaged to take care of. If we aren't paying for illegals, we might actually have enough funding for the VA, Education and a plethora of other programs.

Consider this poll in another light. Most polls about Trump are internally skewed by the polling people who want to provide the desired message to the people that pay for it. They are not honest. However, polls like this aren't as carefully prepared.
So, consider that 53% sided with Trump. Only 32% were solidly against him. 14% are in the mushy middle of "Not sure" but that is not possible in an election. Suppose that mushy 14% remained uncertain and never voted. The outcome would be 62% for Trump, 38% against, a landslide reelection. Even if 5 of the 14% went for Trump, it would give him a 58% to 42% win, a strong victory.
There is solid and enthusiastic backing for Trump. The Left is the 32%, which is remarkably diminished. Further, while they talk a good game their rallies are poorly attended. The 14% is the more conservative dems, at least some of which are likely to vote for Trump, especially with the poor choices they have in the dem party. These are the people that might support Biden but he will never win the primary.
Keep watching the issue polls, especially the ones that are a key part of Trump's reelection platform. Watch if the breakdown is similar to this one, 53/32/14. The Left is going to make a lot of noise, amplified by the propaganda media. No matter how much they scream and shout, they still only get ONE vote each. It appears to me there are more of US than there are of THEM. It would be great if some of the 14% would join us as well.

The truth be told when census takers appear at residences of US citizens and ask if the people living there are US citizens or not, very few US citizens would have any problem in answering that question by affirming that they are US citizens. That is really not the issue.
The actual issue is that the leftist and liberal Democrats have been using total census counts, including both US citizens who can lawfully vote, padded by the census counts relating to aliens, both legal immigrants and illegal aliens, who cannot legally vote, as the basis to reapportion additional Congressional Districts into mostly all immigrant and low income areas where it is much easier for leftist Democrat and socialist candidates to get elected to those congressional seats with low vote counts, because the aliens living in those areas cannot lawfully vote. When that happens it not only makes it more likely that the Democrats will gain the majority of congressional seats and thus control the House of Representatives. But also results in the much lower number of US citizens, usually Democrats, living in those new congressional districts receiving more congressional representation than congressional districts that are populated with very high percentages of US citizens. That’s one of the big short term reasons why the Democrats are pleased as punch to allow as many illegal aliens as possible to gain unlawful entry to the USA and resettle in and expand Democrat dominated immigrant and low income communities around the country.
Asking the citizenship question on the census will not in itself change any of that, but could serve as the emphasis to take another look at the US Constitution and determine if it has been correctly interpreted, or that Congressional Districts should be constitutionally subject to be reapportioned based upon only the census counts relating to US citizens who are residing in a certain area and are lawfully qualified to vote, thus giving US citizens residing in all Congressional Districts across the Country equal congressional representation.
As far as federal funds being allocated to the different States based upon their individual populations, Congress could easily remedy any problems there through legislation.

Ok, then how about all white American citizens DOUBLE the number of people who actually live in their home when they fill out the census form?
Two can play at this "crooked census" game, I think.

Absolutely agree with #7. I believe that, by law, the only things you have to state on the form are your names and ages. Leave everything else blank and then write in, “I am an American citizen”.

There was no problem with the question on prior census forms. The thing they aren't saying is who will be walking around taking your information. GW is asking for people to take the jobs. How biased will those employees be?
