Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Rep. Justin Amash (I-MI), who left the Republican Party earlier this week, said when he came out in favor of impeachment, other “Republicans, high-level officials” contacted him “saying thank you for what you are doing.”Amash said, “Well, I get people sending me text messages, people calling me saying, ‘Thank you for what you’re doing. Great op-ed.’ When I was discussing impeachment, I had fellow colleagues and other Republicans high-level officials contacting me saying thank you for what you are doing.

Hmmm...let me guess...Mitt Romney, Robert Mueller (staunch Republican don't you know), and Cindy McCain. I could go on, but you get the picture.
You still don't impress me, Amash.

Name them, Amash. Why is it they choose to not say it themselves? Cowardly bits of feces I suppose. Or could it be because they are not as stupid as you are?

#1 You are probably right. Either that or the same kind of people that Booker always says are talking to him -- i.e. imaginary.

No doubt there are establishment Republicans who did thank Amish for saying that President Trump should be impeached. But the real question should be are those wimpy Republicans ready and willing to commit sure individual political suicide to say that themselves?

#12 has it exactly right. Justin Amash is not supposed to be representing "Republican high level officials," he is supposed to be representing his district, the people who elected him. Why should he care what the swamp thinks. He really turned out to be a big disappointment. PDJT called him a loser and I certainly agree.

I'm far more impressed with the opinion of the guy who cleans sewer drains, catches loose dogs, or extracts bat nests from attics than 'high Republican officials'. The former all work for a living while Congressman largely sit around in taxpayer-paid air conditioned offices.

Yeah, yeah. Blah, blah, blah.
We heard the same baloney from people like Flake who no longer have a seat because they just did not like Trump.
Glad you are no longer a Republican Justin. Hopefully, your seat will be back in our hands in 2020 and you can return to navel gazing.

This piece of trash is simply trying to build enough of a rep that he can run third party and suck Never Trumpers and 'Independents' away from Trump so his Democrat Candidate can win. Such. A. Loser!!
If he plays his cards right, he can keep a good portion of the money Sros and the Koch brothers send him. Instant prosperity and retirement package.

I take a contrarian view ... nevertrumpers, RINO’s and haters wouldn’t vote for Trump anyway. I think there are a whole lot of Democrats who are as disgusted as we are with their choices for President .... this will be huge for us in the long run ..... sending money for his campaign.

Amash had zero chance of making it through the Republican primary. By announcing he is now an independent when he loses the general election he can claim it is because he was an independent.

Clearly the State Republican Parties must start doing a much better job in weeding out RINO’s from being able to run on Republican tickets.

How about naming names Amash so we can primary them when they come up for reelection. PDJT can take care of those in non-elected positions by summarily firing them.
