WalkAway from Ravelry: Intolerant knitting site Ravelry losing members

More Ravelry members are voicing their objections to Ravelry banning President Trump supporters by posting videos on YouTube. Well-spoken, moderate, and reasonable, these women provide some unexpected points of view concerning their reasons for departing. That said, it seems that a significant number of Ravelry members have launched an ad hoc WalkAway movement. But this time, it’s WalkAway from Ravelry.

I know several ladies who are on Ravelry. Or rather they used to be. Other poster is right. When it filters down to the knitters and those who crochet, it has jumped the shark.

I crochet and was a member of Ravelry for a number of years. I quit. I can't stand the left making everything political. There are plenty of sites for me to find patterns and they don't feel the need to drag politics into it.

Years ago something similar or worse happened to La Leche League. I’m not totally familiar with the story, other than the leadership lost their minds. Maybe someone here has more details. If I go by what I remember I heard, you’ll think I’ve lost my mind.

I'm in the process of printing the many patterns I have stored there, and then I'm gone. I've read comments from some not involved in that craft world who find it mockable, but mostly I'm glad that people see the larger picture. The SJW's have lost their minds and are not toletamt, in spite of their boasts to the contrary. When you can't even talk Knitting without fear of being called a white supremacist, things are way out of control. Oh, and their Pride Flag is still up, even though June is over. And no US flag or message celebrating Independence Day. I hope all their sweaters shrink!

At a recent Veterans group reunion, we were told to absolutely NOT mention politics. It was hard for me but I love the group more than I love politics. I'd like to report that two Trump-hating liberal professors let their views be known as we rode to the venue. I just ground my teeth a bit and inched away from them as soon as possible. Liberals are also Rule-Breakers.

I also walked away from ravelry after being a member for several years. Site wasn’t that great and difficult to get around. They need us more than we need those fascists. I belong to Knitting Paradise. Haven’t been on for a while but lots of neat patterns and help if needed. They have a special forum called the Attic which is a haven for anti Trumpers from all over the world. They also have forums for pro Trumpers. Try it!

On the afternoon of Sept. 13, Will County, Illinois Sheriff’s Detectives received a call from an attorney representing family members of the late Dr. Ulrich Klopfer. Klopfer died ten days prior to the call. The family made a gruesome discovery while taking inventory at Dr. Klopfer’s home somewhere outside Chicago. You see, Dr. Klopfer was an abortion doctor. But he was just one of many Dr. Frankenstein’s in the evil trade. According to the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette, Dr. Klopfer was “Indiana’s most prolific abortion doctor in history with numbers going into the tens of thousands of procedures in multiple counties over several decades.”  Please split wide headlines **

The term Yellow Journalism has been around for a century at least. The earliest days of yellow journalism, now fake news, trace back to the sensational and often inaccurate newspaper blather of William Randolph Hearst, New York Morning Journal and Joseph Pulitzer, The New York World. At the time, The World was known as the leading journalistic voice of the Democratic Party in the United States. There were many more outlets but Hearst and Pulitzer were the battlers for the gold medal as pseudo newsmakers of the day. The God Fathers of today’s Fake-News.  Please split wide headlines.

As the cannabis industry continues to evolve, researchers are constantly uncovering positive aspects of the plant. A study by the University of Colorado suggests that cannabis can be used to increase the survivability of a heart attack. The study collected over 1.2 million medical records of acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) and among those records, it was discovered that 3,854 of those patients were cannabis consumers. “Perhaps the most striking finding of our study is that marijuana use prior to AMI was associated with decreased in-hospital mortality post AMI,” writes the study authors

Pessimistic analysts keep looking for a “black swan” event to clobber September’s ongoing but furtive stock market rally. But the naysayers may have gotten their wish on Saturday. That’s when reports hit news wires that major Saudi oil facilities were attacked, either by missiles or bomb-carrying drones. Yemen’s Houthi rebels, funded for years by Iran, claimed credit for the bombing attacks. But, as always in the Middle East, the truth may be harder to parse. According to the Wall Street Journal: “Saudi Arabia’s national oil company expects to restore roughly a third of crude output disrupted due to a weekend attack by day’s end on Monday."

The New York Times has attempted to soften the blow to impeachment-crazed Democrats and their enablers in the media – which is to say, themselves. Finally, they admitted – sort of – that the Obama administration spied on members of the 2016 Trump presidential campaign in what’s become known as “Spygate.” But the story still fails to focus on an important Spygate linchpin: Joseph Mifsud. Under the headline: “FBI Sent Investigator Posing as Assistant to Meet with Trump Aide in 2016,” the Times’ story clearly hopes to boost the spirits of Trump/Russia collusion obsessives when the report by Inspector General for the Justice Department, Michael Horowitz, is eventually released.

Democrat Debates:Trying to win the White House by smearing President Trump 1 reply

The first recollection I have about watching a newly elected President being sworn into office was in January 1961. At that time Democrat President Kennedy said, “Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.” Those words made a lasting impression on me. My choice of political parties changed after I graduated from college. I discovered that the Democrats advocated for many social programs which essentially took income away from those that earned it and gave to those, who for whatever reason, did not earn it.

Clueless Democrats came back from the 2016 August recess not with new ideas culled from Town Halls and Farmer’s Market, as is intended. Instead, many, not all, came back looking to fundamentally change America. Unfortunately for America, the desire for change starts with impeaching Donald Trump and ends with a socialist government that will have the government deciding your life. Looking at the Democrat agenda, it is all about regaining power and moving America toward a socialist government as a first step to creating a global economy run by George Soros, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama.

The term American “exceptionalism” has become a part of our political discourse in recent years. Some in the political arena, such as President Barack Obama, have been accused by their critics of not believing in American exceptionalism. But American Exceptionalism is found in the war dead’s cemeteries not only in America, but also where American’s go to protect freedom including Normandy and the Sicily Rome American Cemetery. What this “exceptionalism” involves remains undefined, although those who wield the term as a weapon may be surprised to learn what its essence really involves.

House Democrats are working hard to assure Donald Trump handily wins a second term as the nation’s 45th president. It appears the House will shortly pass a resolution allowing the body’s Democratic majority to form subcommittees in an effort to collect “evidence” of the president’s “high crimes and misdemeanors.” Democrat’s goal of impeaching Trump may be the secret weapon to ensure his re-election as #46. Democratic House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler says these committees will “help ensure our impeachment hearings are informative to Congress and the public while providing the President with the ability to respond to evidence presented against him.”

Cory Booker has become the latest Democratic presidential candidate to back unionizing entire industries by supporting a concept called "sectoral bargaining." The idea dates back to the 1930s and involves the federal government creating union-management committees that would set wages and other work standards. The change, if adopted, would radically shift the business landscape across the U.S. Under sectoral bargaining, unions would be granted enormous power over industries, while businesses would be strictly limited in the workplace policies they could adopt. All workers in an industry would be represented by the union officials on the committees. The New Jersey senator
