What AOC Did On Her
Summer Vacation

This is the time of year when, all across America, disgruntled adolescents are dragged by adults to places they do not want to go. When they aren’t posing with frozen smiles for group photos, they sit sullenly in the back seat, texting their friends about the latest hellhole they have been forced to endure by their parents. Likewise, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was recently shamed into visiting a couple of the border detention facilities that she has been criticizing from the comfort of Congress. Her first act upon arrival was to throw a tantrum, complete with foot stamping, yelling and screaming.

AOC recently revealed that in the border camps the women and children are forced to drink juice made from frozen concentrate.

I wish that our agents had escorted her across the border and told her that she couldn’t return without her passport. I travel to other countries on business and know that I absolutely would not be allowed back into my own country of birth without my passport. Yet we allow thousands to waltz right in from third world shiiteholes every month. For God’s sake, build the wall!!!!!!!!!

What did AOC do on her summer vacation? She went to the southern border, and soiled herself in public like a two year old.

The term scapegoat comes from the Jewish faith, where in olden times, a goat had placed upon it all of the sins of the people, then banished or executed. In a strange, twisted way, AOC, the creation of Bernie Sanders and (probably) George Soros, may be their scapegoat. She says stupid, outrageous, ignorant and unbelievable stuff, gains attention of the media, and moves on to the next fake story. Is she accumulating the sins of the democrats, and eventually will be banished by them? Her credibility is zero, yet she gets the attention she craves, and the democrats get dishonest stories placed in the media. Why is there no video to show her tantrums, by the way? Did they kowtow to her bad behavior? (Members of Congress are handled with kid gloves when they visit military installations. The same probably occurs with these border facilities.)

Chica estupida is being called out for lying by all the Hispanic pastors who also toured the facility. I think it's a good sign that she is being so bold with her lies-it reveals just how desperate the Dems are about Trump and how they are almost powerless to stop him since the Muller report was such an embarrassing dud...and now the IG/Huber/Durham investigations will rule the airways until the next election. Chica will lose her seat in the House in 2020 and she'll call it racism or whatever. The Dems are DONE.

Now that media-savvy congressional Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have brought attention to the humanitarian crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border caused by Congress’s refusal to fix our exploited immigration laws, political pundits are having to eat their own words from just a few months ago claiming that the border crisis was manufactured by President Trump as a political stunt. Last week, before President Trump departed for the G20 Summit in Japan, he told reporters on the White House lawn that his critics are now seeing he was right all along. “It’s humanitarian aid, it’s very important

As the president of the National Border Patrol Council, the union representing 16,000 Border Patrol agents, I am personally and professionally offended by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s outrageous, inflammatory and false claims about the dedicated law enforcement officers I represent. Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., once again tweeted Tuesday to describe our detention facilities for illegal immigrants as “concentration camps” (Snip) This is a horrible insult to the memories of the innocent men, women and children slaughtered by the Nazis, and to our Border Patrol agents – implying that our agents are no different from the Nazi butchers.

The perversity of the illegal immigration debate was best captured by Thomas Sowell: “Immigration laws are the only laws that are discussed in terms of how to help people who break them.” And it would be difficult to find a better demonstration of Sowell’s sagacity than the reaction of the Democratic presidential candidates during last Thursday’s “debate,” when they were asked to affirm that “undocumented immigrants” would be covered by their respective health care plans. Everyone on the stage reached for the sky, thus surrendering the field to President Trump on the issue that got him elected in 2016.

When one candidate enjoys an enormous lead in the polls in a field of two dozen, he's bound to be a target on the debate stage — the one person everyone has an incentive to take down a peg. And so it was that in Miami on Thursday night, in the second half of the first Democratic debate, former vice president Joe Biden became a punching bag. It started with Rep. Eric Swalwell taking a dig at the 76-year-old Biden's age by calling on him to "pass the torch" to a younger generation.

“In our constitutional order, a vague law is no law at all.” Those are the words that opened one of the most important decisions of this Supreme Court term, in United States versus Quartavious Davis. (Snip) The author of that sweeping decision in favor of criminal defendant rights was Justice Neil Gorsuch, the first nomination by President Trump to the Supreme Court. I testified at his Senate hearing, favoring his confirmation despite unrelenting attacks on him as a “rubber stamp” and an ideologue. Gorsuch has proven his detractors wrong

Joe Biden's 2020 presidential campaign calls to mind nothing so much as Sideshow Bob among the rakes. It's been one media firestorm after another, most of them totally self-inflicted. What hilarious pratfall will strike next? It's true, Biden is currently leading Trump in head-to-head polls — and by more than any other potential Democratic nominee, though Bernie Sanders is close on his heels. But insofar as traditional political skills like messaging, campaigning, and sheer common sense matter at all, Biden is an exceedingly risky choice to take on Trump.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress has issued its “Nation’s Report Card” on America’s schools and the data is clear. Private schools — which are mostly religious — outperform their public-school counterparts in science scores in almost every subcategory, including physical science, life science and earth science. But, I thought religious schools were backwoods bulwarks of knuckle dragging science deniers? After all, if you listen to the likes of Rob Miller, the superintendent of Bixby Public Schools in Bixby, Oklahoma, you’d never think it possible that religious schools could even teach science (Snip) Our “Nation’s Report Card,” however, appears to disagree.

The line from Donald Trump's reelection campaign kickoff rally that most stuck with me was: "Don't ever forget this election is about you. It's about your family, your future and the fate of your country." That sentiment -- that voters should be thinking about themselves and their families when they vote -- is the key to illustrating how the healthy economy, which has blossomed on Trump's watch, has tangible effects on the lives of voters. While the media and Democrats will relentlessly focus on Trump and whatever they perceive as the outrage of the day, the President's idea to get voters

Factions, argued James Madison in Federalist No. 10, had ever been the bane of governments grounded in the consent of the governed. However, an improved political science informed the new charter of government that he and his fellow delegates drafted a few months before in Philadelphia over the course of the summer of 1787. Well-designed institutions that minimized freedom’s costs offered a more promising approach to preserving freedom. So effective is Madisonian political science that it provides remedies for such up-to-date threats to freedom as social media and the giant companies that monopolize the provision of information about us and about others.

On Tuesday night my CNN colleague Chris Cuomo correctly asserted that I, and people like me, embrace terms such as “nationalist” and “America First” -- phrases that are, in his view, “stained.” He challenged me to provide an example of “nationalism that was positive and not oppressive to another.” My immediate answer was “American nationalism,” to which he responded, “There’s no American nationalism.” It is abundantly clear, of course, that American nationalism is a real thing. We can consider, of course, the merits of this ideology, but we cannot honestly litigate its existence. Our TV debate that night revealed a foundational chasm

National Public Radio (NPR) turned to Never Trump pundit Jonah Goldberg on Friday morning to explain the implications of the decision this week by Rep. Justin Amash to leave the Republican Party. Goldberg told Morning Edition‘s Steve Inskeep that Amash’s departure was “a sign of many of the symptoms he’s talking about,” including the increased partisanship of American politics — which, Goldberg argued, was ironically a result of the weakening of the traditional parties in the face of challenges by outsiders like Donald Trump and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Amash, he said, reacting to the report by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which did not fit into the GOP’s partisan paradigm.

It was excellent. Even CNN, in a report to which Jim Acosta contributed, couldn’t find fault with anything Trump said, although it took the obligatory shots at the event itself. CNN acknowledged that Trump’s speech was not political, but rather “a message of national pride.” Unfortunately, the matter of national pride has become political. But there was nothing in the speech that anyone would have found objectionable before left-liberals rejected the notion of pride in America. There was nothing in the speech that any patriotic American rationally can find objectionable today. You have to dislike America to dislike what Trump said to the crowd on the Mall.
