It must be disorienting to be a leftist. After decades of railing against big business, leftists woke up one morning to find that big business is–mostly–on their side.
We wrote yesterday about Nike’s nixing of the American flag. Here are two similar stories from the corporate world.
UnderArmour [Correction: it’s BodyArmor, as the linked article says. They are two different companies.], a manufacturer of sports beverages, has made a commercial featuring soccer player Megan Rapinoe, who has refused to stand for the American flag and has sparred with President Trump. (Snip)Next: Et tu, Oreo?

Not to mention the money grubbing corporate wall street leeches plastering gay rainbow flags on everything for an entire month, as if it is a wise marketing strategy to gear your advertising campaigns towards about 2% of the population.

Shaving with Harry's unless they do something as stupid as Gillette did. If the headline's true they are cutting themselves shaving.

The best thing is that the Internet and on-line shopping has made it easy to bypass certain companies and look for substitutes.

Corporate America are elitists. They think they should stay in power. . .it doesn't matter to me about Oreos. They have soy in them.

Even as a kid, I didn’t like Oreos. I started boycotting Nabisco several years back when they ran a TV ad with a homosexual couple and their son and used the word “wholesome” to describe both the “family” and their products.

Been going on a long time. Remember all the corporate diversity training, and pandering to certain segments of society to grow business? Or perhaps it was the globalization where corporate America tried to open new markets overseas pandering to Communist, Marxist, Socialist, and Islamic countries?

My boycott list grows. Somehow, I believe that the collective spending of howling mobs in the streets is much less than that of white, middle-class males like myself.
See you at Chick-fil-A for lunch.

Indeed, the left has become staid, stuffy and safe...low risk, cliche ridden and completely lacking in imagination. Remember SNL when it was edgy and controversial? Now it's the 2019 version of Lawrence Welk without the entertainment value.
The counter-culture--the cutting edge, is now firmly on the side of conservative thought. They are threatened with jail and violence from PC thugs, global warming cultists and other "social justice warriors". Candace Owens is a modern day Rosa Parks. Corporate America is all about safety and risk aversion. Don't rock the boat, boys and girls (non-binary options, too), you get banned from officially sanctioned state media such as Twitter and Facebook. Big Brother is here (35 years late) and wearing Birkenstocks and driving a Volvo.

I worked for a large insurance company (the "good neighbor") for over three decades, and watched the leftward drift accelerate after about 1996. Toward the end, I watched them appoint a "Vice President for Diversity" - a Hispanic lesbian. The illustrations on the company websites are now full of "people of color" and interracial couples. They started acknowledging LGBTQWERTY issues, and celebrating Black History Month.
It's a good thing I'm retired now. I would have gotten in serious trouble by now for some off-the-cuff observation, or failing to toe the line on some office situation.

I got an email from Lyft today: "America is an idea not a geography." They're donating $150,000 in ride credits to "immigration organizations." Shoot. I thought they were better than Uber. Guess which app I'm uninstalling?

My employer does this. While I do not agree with it, I do not think it will last long since the campaigns corporations undertake will ultimately hurt their bottom lines. Despite its recent declarations of backing out from financing gun manufacturers, pipelines and private detention centers, The Wall Street Journal published a very interesting article earlier in the week pointing out that major bank announcements were doing wasn't entirely true.
Companies in a capitalist economy can only thrive when they create value. The Leftist campaigns many corporations undertake are emphasizing their virtues instead. The example of Ben & Jerry's Ice cream numerous attempts with so-called "socially conscious" efforts backfiring, IMHO, is proof their efforts won't last.

Leftists only hate big business or anything else when they're not the bosses. They like owning and controlling all the stuff and the people. Diversity and all the crap that goes along with it is big business. It's how many with low skills make a lucrative living.
Hey, you too can lead diversity training seminars. No skills necessary. We'll provide the script for you. Warning! Don't let the deplorables talk too much, though. You must keep their comments to a minimum. Tip number one: only ask yes or no questions. If you ask thought provoking questions, their answers will make too much sense and will put you out of business when they tell their coworkers and bosses that your training is crap, a waste of time, and takes away from productivity. Oh, and all the traitor minorities hate it as much as stuffy old whitey.
My apologies for the rant, but that's how it happened with my company. We only had to do diversity training once and it seemed to disappear after that one time. Diversity nazis know they have to train and retrain (indoctrinate) by force in order to be effective, and they have to get buy-in from the minorities. The minorities in my training were all from the south, and we had a great time watching the facilitator turn red and the flaming leftists among us go crazy. Actually, the trainer seemed to know the course and the leftists were crap. My company is large and international, but it's still privately owned.
