WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke visited Mexico on Sunday and listened to tearful immigrants say they fled Central American violence and turmoil to seek asylum in the U.S., but were turned away at the border. In his first international trip as a White House hopeful, the former congressman traveled to Ciudad Juarez, across the Rio Grande from his native El Paso, Texas, to meet what his campaign described as “individuals and families directly impacted by Donald Trump’s cruel and inhumane policies.” A fluent Spanish speaker, O’Rourke met around a table at a shelter with immigrants from El Salvador,

I don't care about their stories.
Take a look at crime statistics and the names and numbers of illegals being arrested every day for any one of a variety of crimes. Oh wait, you can't. Sanctuary States eliminate your ability to comprehend what is going on by banning ICE from accessing their records. I can tell you from a first hand basis, it is massive.

They should have turned him away when he attempted to come back across the border. How nice it must be to be able to protest in a country that allows it?

Hey Beto, they are no longer in their native country from whence they fled violence. They are in Mexico, a country with the same language and a similar culture. Why are they not asking for asylum from Mexico? Oh, I forgot, Mexico has not welfare program for asylum seekers.

"A fluent Spanish speaker, O’Rourke met around a table at a shelter with immigrants from El Salvador, "
Robert Francis O'Rourke speaks Spanish like a native - of the Congo! I heard him at the debates, his memorized Spanish was halting and mispronounced.
Just another phony - like the rest of the dumbocRAT candidates.

My wife is fluent in Spanish. She was born and brought up in Spain and didn't speak English until she was 20. She couldn't understand the Beta male but then she has some trouble understanding Mexicans at times.

In Mexico.
FTA … around a table at a shelter with immigrants from El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala, some of whom wept as they told of being denied entry into the US while their asylum claims are processed.
Cry me a Rio Grande.
I hope Roberto O'Rourquez likes goose, because he just cooked his.

FTA: Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke visited Mexico on Sunday and listened to tearful immigrants say they fled Central American violence and turmoil to seek asylum in the U.S.----- I would think Beto should be going to the country of origin of the immigrants an fix the problems there. Why would these immigrants want to come to a country that the dems claim is in such bad shape and the dems are trying to turn it into a schiff hole?

Robert O'Rourke, you were in Congress, how many bills did you introduce to change the "cruel and inhumane" laws?

Robert Francis crosses the border to a foreign country and panders to non-American citizens and the press. President Trump wades into an impromptu meeting with Little Un trying to bring an end to the Korean War and to help all the nations in the region. Which of them is working for the benefit to our Nation? The Donald or little pander man?

#6 and 8. We used to live in a majority Hispanic city in Texas. We knew a private high school Spanish teacher who, during a meeting with the parents of a student who was failing his class tried to find out what was going on. The parents said we don't know why he's having trouble because we speak Spanish at home. The teacher said I don't know what you're speaking at home, but it isn't Spanish. And so many times fluent in Spanish really means fluent in Mexican or some street lingo.

I don't speak Spanish or Mexican but I can hear obvious differences in the sounds. Mexican seems to employ a lazy tongue, without clear sounds like the p's and t's. I'm sure their slang and dialects are different too.
I talked to a Brit woman once who told me we do not speak English, we speak American. The languages are similar but not close enough to be the same. Interestingly, I went to a school (in Texas) with a Brit guy and he cracked us up after graduation with an observation. By the end of the school he was not using American dialects at all, but all the Americans were using British working class slang, me included. He said it happens every time.

This my friends is the real problem today. This nut job is running to be the next president of the United States of America. Politicians come into our districts with lies and promises asking for our votes and donations. We elect them to represent We the People of These United States of America and to Uphold the Constitution as it stands- not illegals or refugees. So why is this idiot on the other side of the border? Keep him and burn his passport.
Beto, you know what's "inhumane" ? The fact that millions of disabled and elderly American citizens earn less than $1000 a month in benefits while unwed mothers and mothers of anchor babies collect food assistance of $1200 a month or more and politicians encourage all of it.
