Why play for the U.S.A. if you don't believe in it? Why miss an opportunity to see the White House? Why make this decision before you even won? If people don't watch, attend your games, the money won't increase. Trump is in office for a mere 8 years,

Please don't take this the wrong way, folks...I would consider it an honor and privilege to be invited to the White House; to be in that historic home to so many presidents. Not many people get admitted inside beyond the 'tour' limitations. I would have felt the same way had the invite been made by a democratic president. The invitation is not a political one.

Pres. Trump should invite the womens team win or lose and very publicly ask, "Where's Megan, I would have loved to have met her". Rapione is missing a perfect opportunity to meet Trump and talk about her differences with him. Unfortunately, her unfounded hate for him blinds her to the opportunity as she follows the LGBTQ narrative that Trump is evil even though he has done nothing to deserve this reputation.

#28, Rapinoe is a captain and star player for Team USA. In women's soccer. She has won numerous awards and championships for her athletic achievements. In women's soccer. She was invited to the abstinent White House (as opposed to the f**king one) because she won. In women's soccer. And that is why you've never heard of her. And as a former soccer player (left wing) on a women's soccer team (Cincinnati city champs three years in a row) I can state this without being a sexist. Soccer is fun to play but a bore to watch no matter who's playing and female players interest fewer people in any sport that doesn't include beauty of form.

Veteran conservative activist Ralph Reed said Wednesday that the faith-based group he leads plans to spend at least $50 million on get-out-the-vote efforts in 2020. It's part of a large-scale marshaling of evangelical resources that's poised to benefit President Donald Trump's reelection campaign. After Trump spoke to an annual conference hosted by Reed's group, the Faith & Freedom Coalition, the longtime GOP strategist previewed a voter outreach plan for 2020 that he said would include significant investment in Latino voters of faith. Of the $50 million the group has set aside to spend on communicating with voters, Reed said $4 million would go toward contacting socially conservative and religious Latino voters in swing

The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that the Trump administration cannot include a question about citizenship on the 2020 census form that goes to every U.S. household, giving a win to mostly Democratic populous states that said the question would discourage legal and illegal immigrants from responding and make the population count less accurate. The court was deeply fractured on the issue, but on the section that essentially eliminated the citizenship question, the vote was 5-4, with Chief Justice John Roberts joining the four-member liberal wing of the court. The court's majority said the government has the right to ask a citizenship question, but that it needs to properly justify changing

The Supreme Court ordered further proceedings in the dispute over a citizenship question on the 2020 census form Thursday, saying the Trump administration apparently concealed its true reason for adding the query. Chief Justice John Roberts delivered the Court’s opinion, portions of which were unanimous. “It is rare to review a record as extensive as the one before us when evaluating informal agency action — and it should be,” Roberts wrote. “But having done so for the sufficient reasons we have explained, we cannot ignore the disconnect between the decision made and the explanation given. Our review is deferential, but we are “not required to exhibit a naiveté

Jackie O's daughter Caroline Kennedy is giving someone the opportunity to experience a slice of the family's unique, glamorous, and very closely-guarded life after putting her mother's sprawling Martha's Vineyard estate on the market for a staggering $65 million — four decades after the former first lady purchased it. The 340-acre property includes more than a mile of private Atlantic beachfront near Cape Cod, Massachusetts, as well as lush surrounding landscapes, all of which have been perfectly preserved by Kennedy and her family for the last 40 years. Onassis was first attracted to the oceanfront property in 1979,

I'D OCCASIONALLY seen him in the gym — we both work out at the same Brookline Village health club — but we had never previously had occasion to speak. The other day, as I was using a weight machine near the front desk, I noticed him approach and speak to the staff member on duty. He motioned with apparent consternation toward the TV screens mounted on the opposite wall, and I heard him say the word "Fox." One of the eight screens was tuned to the Fox News Channel, and it became clear he wanted it changed. "I'm sorry," the staffer replied. "Another member

Megan Rapinoe, star forward for the women’s U.S. national soccer team, seems to hate the world. She goes around with a scowl permanently etched into her weathered face. Though an outstanding soccer player, Megs has it in her head that she’s getting cheated, and that the cheater is Donald Trump. So she refused to go to the White House if the team wins the women’s World Cup. Trump then extended an invitation to the team whether they win or lose and of course Megan took it with ill grace. The girl has no graces, only grimaces.

Wednesday on CBS’s “The Late Show,” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said “some folks” during the MSNBC Democratic candidates’ debate were like high school students who “didn’t seem like they read the book.” Partial transcript as follows: OCASIO-CORTEZ: I think sometimes with the debate stage this big, it can kind of seem like a high school classroom, and so there are some folks that, like, didn’t seem like they read the book, and then they got called on. And then — COLBERT: Anybody in particular? OCASIO-CORTEZ: “You know, you kind of like— it depends on the question. So— so they’ll answer the question or they’ll get called on, and

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. The unofficial motto of the U.S. Postal Service does not say anything about persevering through a profound agency financial crisis. But according to recent congressional testimony by Postmaster General Megan Brennan, the agency will run out of money within five years. [Snip] Nothing could replace a service that

Bank of America will end its association with companies that provide prisoner and immigrant detention services at both the state and federal levels. The move comes amid growing public concern about the nation’s border policies. A spokesperson said Wednesday that Bank of America has discussed the issue with its clients that provide those services. While the bank appreciates “steps they have taken to properly execute their contractual and humanitarian responsibilities,” it ultimately decided to “exit the relationships.” “Lacking further legal and policy clarity, and in recognition of the concerns of our employees and stakeholders in the communities we serve, it is our intention to exit these relationships,” the spokesperson said.

Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) decided to move further left on gun control than his debate stage colleagues. Most of his colleagues focused on the typical gun control pushes: an assault weapons ban and a call for universal background checks. "This is something that I'm tired of and I'm tired of hearing people all they have to offer is 'thoughts and prayers.' In my faith, people say, 'faith without works' is dead," Booker said. "So we will find a way. The reason we have a problem is we've let the corporate gun lobby frame this debate. It is time that we have bold actions and a bold agenda.

MIAMI, Florida—Former vice president Joe Biden will not visit the “spin room” after participating in the second night of the first Democratic Party presidential primary debate Thursday evening, according to a report from Buzzfeed News. Buzzfeed’s Henry Gomez, citing “Biden campaign officials,” reported Thursday afternoon that the frontrunner will forego the traditional ritual of fielding questions from the press after the two-hour debate formally ends.(Tweet) It is not clear why Biden is skipping the “spin room.” One reason could simply be strategic: he is still a prohibitive frontrunner
