Miami will be one of the first cities where U.S. immigration authorities will target people for deportation as early as this Sunday, according to sources who were briefed on the enforcement action.Immigration agents will target Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, Baltimore, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City, and San Francisco this weekend, sources from congressional offices and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement told the Miami Herald. Earlier this week, a Trump administration official confirmed that ICE will specifically target for deportation as many as 1 million people “who have been issued final deportation orders by federal judges yet remain at large in the country.”

If President Trump was smart (and he is) these raids, instead of Sunday, should start Saturday at the crack of dawn.

Am I the only one who wishes this wasn't public news being broadcast country-wide? Why can't these raids be a surprise? And why was the info made public? I don't get it, but maybe I'm missing something.

While I would have liked this to have happened long ago, I trust President Trump. He has proven himself to be a master of timing (among other abilities).

Borrowing from various quotes in the article, this is not ‘federal policy’. It’ the law. They are not ‘immigrants’. They snuck over the border and ignored court orders to vacate. They are not all pathetic families. Many of them are gang members, criminals, and a huge drain on taxpayer money. There is nothing immoral or anti-American about sending these illegals home. It is just unfortunate that it took this long to start doing it.

Good luck to everyone involved in this operation. You can be sure that if any families are guilty of evading deportation, their pitiful faces will be front and center on the nightly news. I hope they are all gang members and violent offenders. Maybe it would be enough for the families to self deport if they see we mean business. The media will spin this in a negative way regardless, but Americans want our laws enforced. You have no recourse but to leave when you have ordered to by the Court and if you do not, you should never be allowed in the country again. It’s time these criminals understand that. They need to go home, get in line and come in the legal way. It is not our fault that the authorities have to come and round them up. They have brought this upon themselves when they ignored our laws. Time to pay the piper.

The dims have given these illegals every reason to believe they are exempt from our immigration laws. But, respect for the laws must be mandated and made crystal clear to all of them. Have Soros and Steyer pay for the costs of returning them to where they came from. We are not their sugar daddy. I pray for the safety of our ICE team members. Where's congress on this crackdown?? {Crickets}. While this crackdown is 20 or 30 years overdue, about time. Let's roll.

No. 4 isn't the only one who wishes this info was not spread. The illegals will go into hiding.

The reason this was all announced in advance, in my opinion, is the same reason the police put on their sirens as they approach the crime scene. It sends several messages. We're serious. And we're coming for you! And we are going to hurt you if you try to hurt us. It also sends the message that innocent people need to get out of the way ... it's no mistake ... it's really happening ... and it's not a joke. Mr. Criminal, you can run but you can't hide. And after you Do run for your life (some would say wisely) you just added the charge of resisting arrest, flight to avoid prosecution, etc. to the reasons you can be arrested and it warns all by-standers that they can be arrested too for aiding and abetting. The "friends" can't use the excuse "I wasn't sure it was real!"

Self-deportation is the most effective. I a gladdened when I see clips of Illegal aliens walked out with metal handcuffs in the back. If possible every single alien should receive an ankle monitor at the border. We need visible arrests of illegals, à la Roger Stone, to encourage the other 22,000,000. If they ever took welfare, off with them. The Air Force should help by having shuttle fights to Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala. Find them at the Western Union offices. Start with Los Angeles where Major Eric Garcetti has a recall attemp for bringing back typhoid to the USA. The illegal aliens bring many other diseases, such as resistant Tuberculosis, amoebiasic Dysentery, mumps, measles, Chagas’ disease, all type of flatworms and roundworms, lice and scabies. Many are illiterate, others do not even speak Spanish as they are fresh off the jungle. Illegals depress wages and compete with this American poor. We cannot afford their welfare.

I just read Trump put it off for 2 weeks to get a bipartisan solution??Trump is a joke, he’s turning into GW Bush lite...what a disappointment. He won’t get re-elected this way. Trump is letting the fake media run him.

The people they are talking about have already had multiple days in court and the decision has been made that they need to leave and they are defying that order. Round them up. Throw them out.

Too much publicity before the arrests take place. The illegal aliens targeted know who they are once they are under final orders of deportation. Their leftist lawyers no doubt immediately told those illegal aliens within the targeted parameters to hit the roads, to visit their elderly aunties, and to stay away until the smoke clears.
Whoever in DHS gave out the specifics of when and where the arrests will be taking place should be fired for obstructing legitimate federal law enforcement operations.
