Black Education Decline

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio says that the city's specialized high schools have a diversity problem. He's joined by New York City Schools Chancellor Richard A. Carranza, educators, students and community leaders who want to fix the diversity problem.I bet you can easily guess what they will do to "improve" the racial mix of students (aka diversity). If you guessed they would propose eliminating the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test as the sole criterion for admissions, go to the head of the class. The Specialized High Schools Admissions Test is an examination that is administered to New York City's eighth- and ninth-grade students.

Black inner city "gangsta" culture and the fact that only a small fraction of these black kids have had an actual two parent family is the root cause. Black men unwilling and uninterested in being a father and a parent in a normal stable family means the children that they accidentally sprinkle across the landscape with random one night stands will have a rotten example, and a garbage, violent culture to grow up in. Unsurprisingly, they grow up violent, and without any interest in learning and getting a job and having a stable, middle class job and a life. Not my problem, other than protecting my self from their violence if they come my way.

To expand on #1, the group responsible for this is the liberal Democrats, who incentivized the breakup of the family by promising benefits to unwed mothers, and who have never incentivized getting off welfare and going to work.

Tangential and off topic but (speaking of dis-incentives) why do seniors, who have contributed to SS all their lives and been told that it is not meant to be their sole retirement income.....lose a portion of their benefits if they choose to work in their advanced years ???? The economy is booming and jobs are going un-filled. Wazzupwidalldat ???

Black people have been repeatedly told they are the victims. It is now culturally ingrained in many of them. As victims, they are entitled to act how they please without consequences, including apparently the ability to get into top notch schools without effort. Hard working black students be damned. Hard working white students be damned. Hard working Asian students be damned. Etc., etc., etc....

Sorry to say, but in many black majority areas, doing well in school is considered being "too white" and is looked down upon by fellow blacks.

RE #6: I absolutely HATE that thought process!! If getting good grades and being smart is "acting white," then does that mean that "acting black" means failing school and remaining ignorant?? What about "acting Asian??" This blanket dismissal of intelligent, motivated black children by racist blacks and leftist "educators" does NO ONE any good, least of all the adult society through which these children must eventually learn to navigate.

Sorry for the second post, but continuing with my thought process, one would think that black children would be encouraged to prove that they were SMARTER than the "oppressive" whites by getting better grades and challenging them for the best schools and scholarships. Instead, they are fed a line of bull that they need to remain dumb as stumps in order to "act black." It is my hope, however futile, that one day, black mamas and daddies will wake up and recognize this lie and demand better from their sons and daughters.

One wonders if, after half a century of special programs, from academics to boosterist chanting about pride, costing billions, if not more, whether the generations are less intelligent, less interested in academics, or culturally opposed to personal advancement. The excuses about crummy schools and teachers ring hollow in urban areas where black-majority school boards and administrations are the rule. Where is there ANY PROOF that ANYTHING done has provided ANY improvement to the general academic outcome for Black students. In fact, I see regression.

Excellent plan practiced by the best schools in this country. If you can't raise performance, lower standards. It works every time and you always achieve your goal - DIVERSITY. Only one caveat, expect to fall down in worldwide performance rankings. Mensa is quickly becoming the smallest organization in the USA.

Yes, 7-8, if a black kid is faced with a choice, getting good grades or being beaten up by the mobster "teens" that now rule the public school classrooms, he's going to choose the bloodless way out. I suggest National Guard troops being placed in and around schools both for protection from the lunatics who finally go off their nut and the gangsters who prey on those going to-from schools. If the damned government can legally force kids to go to school it should take the responsibly to protect them.

The reason that black education declines is because most "OG's" start out with a BS and earn a PHd by the time they graduate from PRISON University.

“What’s your pitch to the swing voter on the fence?” ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked President Trump on Sunday. Politicians deserve the opportunity to make their cases straightforwardly — and voters deserve to hear them. Second, they save time.
