The late publisher of the Washington Post, Katharine Graham, once said, “News is what someone wants to suppress. Everything else is advertising.” No one knows the truth of this observation better today than the dwindling number of conservatives still clinging by their fingernails onto their social media accounts. In an increasingly blatant move toward outright censorship, America’s key social networks are uniting to suppress conservatives and boost their cherished left-wing fantasies.

If that is true, we will just have to get our own platforms. Do what Codevilla says and boycott everything liberal. Begin our own resistance. I just hope it leads to secession.

Platforms can be infiltrated and crashed, as we’ve witnessed on this very own site. We need freedom of speech guaranteed. Never thought I’d have to actually say that this being the USA.

What's a Facebook? Where did Myspace go? Why would I even want to tweet, I'm NOT a bird. And BTW I've probably missed the last 3 latest greatest social networks and I don't care. My children, like me ate their age actually work for a living at something useful. They raise their children and play musical instruments that don't need electricity. I suppose they do the social media thing to some degree. When I was still working I had to carry a cell phone and text for business purposes but when I retired I lost the electronic leash in an instant. Who would have thought that THE Matrix would be attached by their thumbs?

I'm not sure how the formula works but I am seeing all the right wing stuff I usually do. The amount of data coming across is so vast they cant possibly monitor it all with a room full of potheads. The only people I've seen go to facebook jail have been complained about by someone on their "friend" list. Be cautious of your audience and the nazis wont even know.

This is clearly part of Organized Crime(D)'s scheme to cheat its way back into the Oval Office in 2020. The GOP always allows Organized Crime(D) to cheat. MAGA won't.

A prison sentence is not a license for gov torture and human rights violations. That’s what solitary confinement is. Manafort should be released, along with all people being held in solitary,” the New York Democrat tweeted.

During the Japanese bombardment of Shanghai in 1932, the Austrian essayist Karl Kraus was anguishing over the placement of commas in a column. It might seem futile at such a moment, he told a friend, but “if those who are obliged to look after commas had always made sure they were in the right place, then Shanghai would not be burning.” George Orwell made a kindred observation about the importance of having the courage to call things by their real names. Euphemism, the counterfeit of good manners, is the enemy of truth, which is the only ally worth having.

In June of 2016, the British people voted to reject the European Union’s authoritarian rule over the UK and reassert their sovereignty. And so, Brexit was a big winner at the polls. But two years later, Britain remains a vassal state to the bureaucratic minions of the EU. All due to the inaction of the ruling Conservative Party, also known as the Tories. A party once shepherded by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who said: “I had the patriotic conviction that, given great leadership of the sort I heard from Winston Churchill in the radio broadcasts to which we listened, there was almost nothing that the British people could not do.”

On Aug. 31, 2018, former FBI Deputy General Counsel Trisha Anderson said she was normally responsible for signing off on Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act applications before they reached the desk of her superiors for approval. Anderson said the “linear path” those applications typically take was upended in October 2016, with FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates signing off on the application before she did.

There’s an old saying in sports that “you can’t tell the players without a scorecard.” That same adage applies to Middle East politics. For example, in Saudi Arabia, the English daily newspaper Arab News – or “The Green Flash” as it is called by ex-patriots because of its green-tinted cover pages – reports that the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces “intercepted and destroyed two missiles launched from Yemen by Iran-aligned Houthi militias on Monday.”
