Melania Trump spoke to the press in the Oval Office on Wednesday - an unusual move from the first lady, who rarely speaks off the cuff. Her comments came when she welcomed Polish President Andrzej Duda and his wife Agata Kornhauser-Duda to the White House. 'It is great to have them here again. I'm looking forward to talking with Mrs. Duda about children, what they are facing in our country, what they are facing in Poland as we did the first time. And we will continue to do so,' the first lady said. The well-being of children is a corner stone of Melania Trump's Be Best campaign. (Video/Photos)

In a series of indignant tweets on Thursday, President Trump pushed back on liberal outrage over his comments to ABC's George Stephanopoulos. I meet and talk to “foreign governments” every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Wales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about “Everything!” Should I immediately call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again. In an Oval Office interview earlier this week, Stephanopoulos asked Trump, "Your campaign, this time around.

Today President Trump turns 73 – Happy Birthday President Trump! President Trump is doing all he can to help America recover after the eight horrible years of the Obama Administration. It has not been easy. America still has massive debt due to the $10 trillion added by Obama. Our FBI and DOJ and other federal agencies were politicized and made corrupt. There’s still lots more to do.But America is winning again. There’s no more Iran deal, no more Paris deal, no more 10% unemployment, no more jobs going overseas and south of our border, no more stagnant stock markets and no more flailing GDP.

As NBC Nightly News continued its monotonous drumbeat on Thursday to elevate liberal policy positions ahead of the Democratic debate they were holding, the network gave the megaphone to South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg in order to push for abolishing the Electoral College. Correspondent Harry Smith let Buttigieg freely suggest the country had to “strengthen American democracy” because we were supposedly in an era of deteriorating voting rights. In reality, his “Big Idea” would damage the framework our founders put in place to protect the people from tyranny.“America over time has grown more democratic and I think that's a good thing, but it's not a one-way street.

That brings the total damages to $33 million. We will have the breakdown soon. The jury also awarded attorney’s fees, to be determined by the judge. In closing argument, Gibson’s lawyer Lee Plakas argued: “Why is the country watching you. Because the country agrees that what happened to the Gibsons should not happen to anyone, but could happen to everyone.”

Soccer is the world’s game, but women’s soccer is not. Not many countries take women’s soccer seriously and, with the possible exception of the U.S., those that do don’t take it nearly as seriously as they take men’s soccer. Hence, mismatches like the U.S.-Thailand farce. There just aren’t enough competent women’s teams in some continents to make up a strong world cup field. So far the media has managed to avert its eyes and studiously ignore a major story of corruption and malfeasance in Congress because to cover said story would totally destroy a narrative and expose them to allegations that they are racist. At the epicenter of this tale is the pustulent and rather dim Elijah Cummings from my current state of residence. Cummings is your typical product of the Maryland Democrat machine. The reek of corruption is always near him but never quite attaches to him because he is, as I said, the product of the Maryland Democrat machine and therefore bulletproof. Now all of that may be getting ready to change.
