Democrats on Capitol Hill are fuming over President Trump’s plan to deliver a speech at the Lincoln Memorial during the traditional July 4th celebration on the National Mall, saying the event should appear non-political. The U.S. Park Police confirmed this week that Trump planned to attend this year’s celebration, which typically brings thousands to the nation’s capital. “President Trump’s efforts to insert politics into a celebration of our nation’s history is extremely alarming,” House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said in a statement on Thursday.

The President's D-Day speech sent a thrill up their legs. Or maybe it wasn't a thrill exactly; I'm not sure of the direction either. In any event, they sure don't want him to take the stage on our most patriotic holiday.

I would imagine they watched all of the recent celebrations abroad with The President giving many wonderful speeches. They do not want him to do this (on TV) for our whole country to see on the 4th of July! Personally, I think it is absolutely is appropriate for him to address Americans on this very patriotic holiday. Too Bad if the Democrats are having a meltdown over the idea. I say "full steam ahead, Mr. President"! Hubby and I always watch the Celebration in Washington on the 4th of July. It is a wonderful Patriotic production. The President addressing the Country will only add to festivities. Can't wait!!

What they mean is they're fuming over Trump's plan to insert HIMSELF into the celebration of America. Presidents should diss America at home and abroad, not celebrate her. They should apologize for being free, not delight in it. They should be ashamed of their past, not grateful for it. There. Fixed it.

He's the President of the United States and you're not. If he can't address the country on Independence Day, when can he? A good chunk of the people of this country thinks it's just a holiday with fireworks and don't really understand the meaning....another group continually tries to suppress the meaning....and then there's the lawfully elected President who will reinforce the true meaning of the day. You Commucrats can all go to......

Maybe that Indian with his tom tom will show up to harass people wearing red MAGA caps. The leftist and liberal Democrats know that President Trump will give a patriotic speech to the nation, similar to his outstanding D-Day speech. The Democrats don’t want to give Trump that chance and will do everything they can to keep Trump from giving such a speech to the nation. Including manipulating activist liberal Democrat Obama or Clinton nominated Federal Judges to issue injunctions to keep Trump away from the Lincoln Memorial.

Predicting what history will decide was significant is always dicey. But in the context of our fractured nation and the nonstop Washington tumult since 2016, events in the last three weeks have been nothing short of remarkable. Against an enormous army of antagonists, political and cultural, academic and judicial, Donald Trump is enjoying some of the best days of his presidency. His power and popularity are expanding. Meanwhile, Democrats and the left, including the media, have suffered one crushing blow after another. There was never any evidence that Donald Trump “colluded” with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election from Hillary Clinton. It was all a hoax. (Snip) Mueller [wrote], “While this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” ...It’s very much like a prosecutor who loses a case and then claims to the media, “Well, the jury may have found the defendant not guilty, but that doesn’t mean he’s innocent.” Technically, that’s true. But it’s how losers try to justify the result they don’t like.

Newly elected far-left Denver City Council member Candi CdeBaca has stated that she is "excited to usher" in communism "by any means necessary." CdeBaca, who won in an upset runoff election earlier this month, said in late March during a candidate forum for City Council District 9: I don’t believe our current economic system actually works. Um, capitalism by design is extractive and in order to generate profit in a capitalist system, something has to be exploited, that’s land, labor or resources And I think that we’re in late phase capitalism and we know it doesn’t work and we have to move into something new.

At least 15 people broke State Department rules in mishandling former Secretary Hillary Clinton’s emails, the department said in a new review released publicly Monday. While the full review is not completed, the department said it’s found 23 violations and seven infractions of security protocols related to Mrs. Clinton’s emails. Some of the 15 people got write-ups placed in their security files at the department, according to a letter sent to Sen. Chuck Grassley. Those could affect future attempts to gain security clearances, the department said. “The department considers and violation of security policies to be a serious matter,”

Two health professionals penned an op-ed in The New York Times on Sunday that despite society’s shift on marijuana use, it does not change the fact that the drug is not safe for high school and college students. Kenneth L.
