Trump Finally Has the
Wind at his Back

President Donald Trump has been sailing into the wind, against the tide, dragging an anchor, for the first two years of his presidency. And despite these hindrances, he is presiding over a booming economy and record low unemployment, circumstances that were said to be unattainable without a magic wand, according to the last president.
Yet look at the forces arrayed against Trump. Not only as president, but ever since that fateful day when he descended the escalator at Trump Tower in June 2015 announcing his candidacy. And perhaps before that.

I think Joondeph is overly optimistic. Haters hate. Democrats haven't changed and they won't let up. The President, the Vice President, the administration staff and their families need our prayers for their safety and to bolster their perseverence.

In spite of the seventeen (at last count) reasons given by the Beast. The main reason she lost was because she failed to put enough vote fraud in place. The ‘Rats are not going to make that mistake again. Miami, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Milwaukee...the plan is ready. Beware!

President Trump has no choice but to work in the devil's kitchen. Especially sad and frankly quite disgusting is the pubbie party, the rich, white, and overweight clowns they are having turned their back on him. All because he isn't from the inside. Dr. Joondeph, your optimism is appreciated, but, don't forget President Trump is human, too, and has to put his pants on one leg at a time same as we do. And we are asking him to endure another 5 and a half years of the evil empire not only from the pubbies, but, from the dims, the msm, the deep state, and the new world order. I for one think he is up to it. His love for America will bring him home.
May God continue to protect the President of the United States, Melania, his children, and Vice President Pence and his family.

Agree with Posters #1 & 2. Mueller just gave the left a shot in the arm yesterday and they are energized. If you believe dems are not prepared to interfere in the 2020 election to assure their victory, you are naive. Therefore, the one thing that will defeat them is a massive showing by the American people who reject their absurd agenda. No one can stay home and everyone who can and will vote Republican must show up and vote. This is not going to be a cake walk for the President. We must do our part to save the Republic. Voting is much easier than the alternative. If the democrat party as we see it today ever regains power, the Republic is lost. Everything is on the line in 2020.

Broken glass, my friends. Broken glass. If that's what we need to crawl over to get Mr. Trump reelected, then that's what we'd better do.
You don't want the United States of America to turn into the State of Illinois. And it would with the Dems in charge. Illinois is an utter mess.

Democrats are like the guy that set himself on fire yesterday. They are so far gone, mentally and emotionally, that they are beyond rational thought, and willing to destroy themselves.

There was a lot of wind in Boston for our country last night at the Stanley Cup Hockey game. When the sound system failed the fans finished the National Anthem. It brings tears to see and hear. Check out the Gateway Pundit.

As a sailor I can attest that this metaphor is right on. Sailing against the wind is hard work and you have to fight for every yard of progress that the boat makes, sometimes losing forward progress when the wind is especially bad. When you finally have it at your back, it's like freeing yourself from a deep snowdrift. Donald Trump fought the wind for two years and that's almost superhuman.

When are the dems going to accept the last election? Boy, are they going to have trouble with the next one.
The economy doesn't matter to these people - it's their lack of power that matters to them. I would love to see all the congress members tax returns while they are in office and for the next 10 years after they leave.

While I agree with the positive changes mentioned, as we have seen, there are enormous forces arrayed against the President, against what Trump stands for, and against this Country. This opposition is NOT recent, or only against Trump. This is a long time structured resistance to America that has carefully infiltrated government, institutions, and our culture. It is vicious, strong, and patient. I hope the investigations reveal it for the threat it is and action is taken to block it. I hope that rational Americans will understand what has happened and the danger it represents.
I agree that Trump has many things in his favor for reelection. He can do a lot to fix our Country and make it more resistant to the attacks it is under. But a victory in 2020 is not a reason to be complacent. Even if the dem party shatters after the election, the forces arrayed against us will simply assume another form and come against us again a few years down the road.
Some of the Left/dems/bureaucracy/ media are dupes. They are self centered and act on a herd mentality. But there is a hard core that directs the herd. They are the ones that need to be sought out, identified, and neutralized.
Sometimes it's not the wind or the tide that is the problem. It is the hidden rocks and reefs that can destroy you.

I agree with #11.
I feel President Trump would understand the warning to beware "the impervious horrors of a leeward shore" (h/t Patrick O'Brian)

It was NEVER Donald Trump's aim to be head of the half-dead GOP so get that notion out of your brain pan. Furthermore, I seriously doubt if anyone could have overcome the major obstacles that this President has faced without the help and direction of Almighty God. He doesn't need to thump a Bible to say so. Believers standing with him can do that for him. And FYI believers knew he wasn't Christ-like and that was never the basis upon which we voted for him. That said, we only ''think'' we elect our leaders.
