Republican Texas Rep. Chip Roy responded to Democratic California Rep. Ted Lieu on Friday after Lieu accused the Texas congressman of harming Americans who were impacted by disasters solely to make a political point.“Dear [Chip Roy] Hey man, why are you hurting disaster victims to make a point about congressional procedure?” Lieu asked on Twitter. “Do you feel all mighty [and] powerful that you stopped a bipartisan disaster relief bill?” “On behalf of disaster victims in my district [and] across the US, we think you suck,” Lieu added: Dear @ChipRoyTX: Hey man, why are you hurting disaster victims
South Georgia took a shot too. Places are still rebuilding from the hurricane last year.

The largest amount of funds was to support corrupt Puerto Rico, not anyplace here. As usual, Republican leaders supported the far left dems refusal to fund Trump's initiatives and stabbed him and us Deplorables in the back with the usual, "don't worry, we'll fund the wall later." Kudos to Rep. Roy.

Ted Lieu is from Southern California, which to my knowledge does not have disaster relief needs, in the last number of years. Does he claim he has some folks from areas who used to be part of a disaster, but no longer live there? Would be interesting to know how those persons could afford the high-priced area of his district
Interesting comments from Chip Roy, that they literally were going to spend $19 billion and most weren't there to vote on it, read it, or know what's in it.

Thank God there are still a few "Mr. Smiths" in Congress to stand up to the likes of Lieu et al. The way to stop the Marx/Alinsky/Jihadist tactic of using human shields (whether physical or political) is to simply do what's right and let the enemy bear responsibility for the fate of their shields.
It may seem harsh, but it is absolutely necessary and with lots of Biblical precedent.

Ted Lieu’s district contains Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Holmby Hills, Santa Monica, Calabasas, Malibu, UCLA, Palos Verdes, Venice and Westwood. These are some of the wealthiest towns in the country if not the world. What can Roy’s constituents in Texas do for whatever disaster victims Lieu claims to represent that Lieu’s other constituents can’t help their own neighbors overcome? What a fraud Lieu is.

Misquote FTA … Ted Lieu "Hey man, why are you hurting disaster victims to make a point about congressional procedure?” Lieu asked on Twitter."
He's from California. He obviously must have said,"LIKE DUDE, why are you hurting disaster victims to make a point about congressional procedure?” Lieu asked on Twitter.
At 19 Billion dollars this bill was 2% disaster relief and 98% PORK. It was introduced when congress was hauling their butts out of town to hit their Memorial Day fundraisers and was supposed to pass with out a floor vote.
Squawk all they want Chip just tossed 18 billion plus back in the pot and the critters are going to actually have to vote.

I’m sure the good Californian Lieu has a lot of experience recognizing men who suck.

Taxation without representation?
Rep. Roy cares about doing it the right way.
I guess the right way no longer matters to those who would spend so much money without voting to approve it.
The Nobama regime hand all these people writing regulations for alphabet agencies the for some reason were given the force of law WITHOUT having been voted upon by members of Congress for approval and signature by the President.
People don't elect bureaucrats.

Chip Roy stood against one of the biggest money grabs ever attempted by Pelosi and her gang of thieves. The bill will still get an official vote, but it will be done the right and more transparent way, not done with a skeleton crew of minions. Good on Roy for standing up to the chicanery of democrats. Speculation I have been reading is that maybe 2-3 billion was going to actual disaster relief, while the rest was most likely PORK and earmarks for pet projects. It is campaign season again.

Congress is broken. Government has grown so big it can't do anything right. At least this Congressman moved to at least make them vote.

At least for the moment, 19 billion of our tax dollars are safe from waste. Next week, probably not.

#13 I'll settle for this week. With a bit of luck, next week too. We fuss our butts off over a presidential election while congress steals our pants.
