Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, polling second among Democratic presidential candidates, will reportedly butt in on Walmart’s annual shareholder meeting, where he will demand the company change its policies to please him. Voters take note: This is how socialists operate. They believe all businesses belong to them.
Sanders, who has long self-identified as a socialist, will “push for the retail giant’s workers to get

This is nothing but an attempt--a pathetic one--at getting media attention during a presidential run-up. It's a stunt, and Sanders' candidacy is a stunt as well. He may not know it, but everyone else does--including the democrats who will shove him aside again in 2020 for their photogenic, box-checking minion-of-choice.

I think Mr. Sanders is going to find out that the inhabitants of "Wal-Mart Country" don't feel the "Bern'.

It's quite simple. If he enters a private board meeting uninvited, politely and calmly ask him to leave. If he doesn't then politely and calmly explain he will be removed by force and arrested for trespassing. Be sure it is all video taped and documented. Private business is just that. It's not any of this schmucks business. He can't demand anything from them while trespassing on their property.

Who the heck cares what a cranky millionaire communist thinks? This guy looks like he combed his 5 remaining hairs by rubbing a balloon on his head just before yelling at the kids to get off his lawn. Never had a real job in his entire life. Why exactly does he think the shareholders of Walmart should listen to HIS command on how they should run their business...or our country's economy?

If he did this out of ignorance, that is one thing. But he is fully aware of what is involved. The Joint Stock Company is the bedrock of a capitalist economic system - for the last two centuries, the well spring of our wealth. .Its sacred principle is that only shareholders, whose liability is limited, have entrance. The mentality behind Bernie's actions is highly toxic.

I suspect that Mr. Sanders will get an interesting welcome in Northwest Arkansas.

this is just a stunt to make his commie followers hate business. We need business. Even a stinkin commie country needs business. People were put on the face of the earth to WORK. What I don't understand is, why doesn'T sanders just move to the commie country he loves the most. Is it because those countries are already under control and sanders would have no power? I just don't understand why anyone who does not like our constitution just get the heck out. go live somewhere else and be happy. (and make many many many Americans happy!)

He is riding into this meeting on the back of an employee who thinks hourly employees should be on the Board. Wage earners with no financial stake in the company and no qualifications to be a Board member. Their job would be to bring complaints about wages and lunch breaks. Neither she or Sanders has any standing. This is theater.

Walmart security should throw the old commie out for disruption. He has no power and his mouth is getting really obnoxious. Most of the country would applaud them for shutting the fool up.

It's a win-win for Bernie. If he is denied entrance, they must be hiding something. If allowed inside then has his rant interupted and he is frog=marched out, he will claim he was there speaking "Truth to Power" on behalf of all Americans and was silenced by those criminal Capitalists.

This is apparently a shareholders' meeting, not a board meeting. If Bernie owns Wal-Mart shares he is allowed to attend and speak his piece.
My question would be related to how many shares of Capitalist Wal-Mart does Socialist Bernie actually own? Maybe he will release his tax returns.

Perhaps somebody needs to find the video of the two black women who appropriated his mic at one of his rallies back in 2016. He wasn't so brave then was he? Bernie, you need to worry more about your own corruption, and the fact that it could come out and bite you. Helping your wife bankrupt a school with dodgy bank loans is not what we want in a president.

Don't be surprised if Walmart is planning to "virtue signal" that they are down with the socialists, so as to curry the favor of those who they believe will soon be in power, given the current rates of illegals from socialist countries being released into our country on a daily basis and our society's apparent tolerance of the overtly anti-American AOC, Tlaib, and Ilhan in Congress.
