How has Trump maintained his base through all the adversity of the last three years? Surprisingly, the explanation is simple. His critics haven’t talked to the people, but instead, have talked to each other. These experts still don’t know how America got here, but the people do.
When the vast unwashed masses voted for Trump, there were several reasons, and the most important was Hillary Clinton. To defeat her would require someone who could break the logjam of Midwest industrial states. It was obvious that Clinton could not appeal to them, because she lacked sincerity.

Trump won in 2016 because he effectively neutered the msm. He won because he really didn't care what the msm thought of him and sought to defeat them. He won because he represented hope in defeating the deep state. He won because he truly believes in America.
MAGA.

Too many certainties stated that aren't certainties. Our number one goal was to send the Obamas packing and rid the government of all the people, laws, rules, conflicts, racism, embarrassments and expensive boondoggles that he perpetrated. Hillary just happened to "win" the dem primary but her evil was yet to be unleashed. Bernie was a joke and still is. Romney actually looked like a viable candidate in the 2012 election and could have won until he threw it away. Trump was the only candidate that called a spade a spade and he had actual ideas instead of socialist dreams.

I am afraid the only thing that can defeat President Trump is election fraud.
I cannot understand why we should not have to present proof of citizenship to vote in a Presidential election.

After the election I began thinking of President Trump as a folk hero in the style of a Paul Bunyan. Too big for words! Thank God (and some friends here at L.com) I was able to see past my initial deep skepticism of his sincere conservatism, and figured out that whatever foibles he came with, Donald J. Trump was our only antidote to the vicious left and the MSM that props them up.
May God protect our President, and may He bless the United States of America.

Trump is a breed apart. Only someone not entrenched in politics can help us. Obviously why he is feared and hated by the UniParty.

Simple and true and something Trump's critic cannot dare face. The problem is THEM. Trump is with US and respects US. Trump's critics are NOT.
Now, Trump has been successful for the Country and successful for US, with Conservative judges, a tax cut, less regulation, and attempted progress on Health care and immigration. He has acted presidentially in the face of extreme provocation by the illegal activities of the Deep State and associates. He has been deeply examined, tested, and emerged unscathed. Many that had doubts no longer do. Many that originally voted against him are amazed and pleased with his presidency. He is stronger than ever and his opponents are a collapsing joke.

"Big Bad John"
Yes, a true 'folk' hero. That's our guy!
He took on an entire regime of evil doers, standing for Country and the people therein.
Thanks, Jimmy Dean. A song before its time.

Obviously the author has been listening to Rush Limbaugh.
He has been saying the same thing for months. In this case
though, a little loose plagiarism is certainly acceptable.

FTA: “The MSM would pen a 700-word article belittling Trump, and he would tweet 20 words that had more wisdom, more punch, and more credibility than that article. The defiant “You and whose army!” seemed to be the response to each challenge.”
This is a wonderful piece of wordsmithing. I enjoyed every paragraph. It may sound familiar because Mr. Wysong has eloquently expressed the observations and conclusions about The Donald discussed by just about every one of his supporters, both here and in the conservative media over the last, now, almost four years. (Wow! Time sure flies in the Time of Trump; much faster than during the Obamanation.)
The public record shows his interest in the affairs of our country and his consistent remarks regarding the lack of common sense in our political class. It is easy to see the trajectory of his life experiences leading him to ever greater accomplishments. I believe God had DJT warming up on the “on-deck circle”, and because of the prayers from millions of faithful patriots, He gave The Donald the signal to “Swing Away!”

All true.
I had heard of Trump, but not much liking or not often visiting NYC, and never having seen his TV show, or even heard more than a mention of it (I am not sure I even knew that Trump was associated with the show), when he first burst on the screen, I sort of laughed and paid little attention. Then he brashly said some things that the left found outrageous, and I found great.
I remember saying to my wife<"This Trump guy is saying some great things. I wonder if he is really serious." That was the very first time I had any real idea who he really was.
And it only got better from there.
I voted for Cruz in the KS primary, but when Cruz was not making the cut, it was easy and comfortable
to go over to Trump.
And what a wonderful ride it has been.
Now to hunt down the FBI, CIA and DoJ coup plotters and put them in jail. And to win in 2020.
MAGA!

TRUMP like all presidents has to win re-election to really move the agenda forward. It simply take more than four years to move the government huge bureaucracy and the court system. Nothing is certain in politics except the results after the fact. Hopefully will be able to say it was a certainty that TRUMP won the election.
