House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler scheduled a vote Monday to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for not giving the committee special counsel Robert Mueller’s full unredacted report. The New York Democrat gave Barr a deadline of 9 a.m. Monday to turn in the full report with no redactions, which many Republicans believe would be dangerous due to the possibly sensitive material, which could be leaked. Nadler has now scheduled the congressional contempt vote for Wednesday, May 8 at 10 a.m. “Even in redacted form, the Special Counsel’s report offers disturbing evidence

The public has contempt for Congress, so it´s not so bad to be held in contempt of Congress. It could be considered a favorable occurrence.

I visited with my evil big sister yesterday - she is 86, lifelong leftist dimocrat, and she asked why Barr lied to congress.
I tried to explain how bogus the charge was, but I doubt she listened.

let me get this straight. Nadler wants to hold Barr in contempt of Congress and possibly have him arrested for FOLLOWING THE LAW passed by Congress? Only in the land of crazy liberal democrats could this occur. If we had an honest press and media, they would be pointing out this DEMOCRAT CONTEMPT FOR THE LAW.

Congress and the Attorney General.. all have taken an oath to uphold the Laws of the United States..
Congress intends to hold the Attorney General in contempt.
Congress is demanding the Attorney General break the law by releasing the complete un- redacted Mueller Report.. which the law demands certain contents can not be made public!
So everyone who votes for the contempt, those individuals should be expelled from congress for Contempt of the people of the United States! Misfeasance and malfeasance!
No one can order a government official to break a law!, And not be punished, this also blackmail and extortion.. bring in the FBI

Yes, a law NADLER was a sponsored after the Ken Star investigation of Clinton.
He didn’t want anything released before it was redacted for grand jury testimony and information that would hurt people who weren’t charged.

Well who doesn’t have contempt for congress?
Their latest approval rating among Americans is what? Twenty per cent? Nineteen?
I have higher regard for the guy who manages our local dump than the esteemed Speaker of the House or her toadies.

What? It is the law that specific items are redacted. Congress makes the laws. Who is Nadler trying to kid?

Count me in too. Last I looked congress had about a 7 percent approval rating. Sounds like contempt of congress is higher than who actually voted for them.
And I refer to Republicans too.

With the media carrying their water and protecting them, the dems outdo themselves spewing falsehoods about anyone they dislike. Sadly, their BS sticks in the minds of those from Loma Linda who now believe Trump colluded and obstructed, Barr lied, Justice K assaulted some girl, etc. If we only had an honest media.
And don´t get me started on fascistbook and twitter stifling conservatives.

Wasn´t Barr scheduled to appear before the House committee on a *voluntary* basis? If that is the case, can he actually be cited with contempt? He simply cancelled an appearance he had scheduled.
If they want to hit him with contempt, do they not have to subpoena him first?
