An investigation into whether the president of the United States committed treason has devolved into a squabble over Attorney General William Barr’s brief letter saying that he didn’t. We’ve gone from Donald Trump allegedly betraying the nation to Barr allegedly betraying the nation, from potential Trump impeachment to potential Barr impeachment. Barr’s offense is writing a quick letter summarizing the top-line conclusions of the Mueller report. Ever since the attorney general released the letter, he’s been the focus of conspiracy theories and the target of smears. He’s been routinely called, even on respectable TV shows, the equivalent of Roy Cohn, the scuzzy

Barr is going to need a backbone of steel for the hate that is about to descend upon him. If they can’t discredit him the left is screwed. It appears Lindsay Graham is already going weak in the knees on this.

Meanwhile, giving uranium to Russia and billions in cash to a terrorist country that recites "Death to America" every day is not even in a footnote. That´s how you spell T-R-E-A-S-O-N.

A Tale of Two Investigations
A while ago, someone had an email server that was illegally used to do government business. There were classified documents on that server, a breach of security, and intelligence people have said it was likely hacked by foreign agents. When questioned about it, the person illegally erased the server and destroyed other evidence.
Someone did an investigation of the use of that server and they decided, even though it wasn´t their job to do so, that the person that had the server was not to be charged with a crime.
As with the investigation of Trump, the outcome was binary, charge/no charge. There was no indignation of the media about no charges being leveled even though there was clear evidence of a crime and the person responsible for the investigation said the person with the server was VERY naughty and foolish. The investigator made his decision on a falsification of law about the intent of the person with the server. In fact, several people had been found guilty over similar behavior with no bad intent on their part.
In addition, we never got to see one word of the investigative report; not even a summary. The person investigating did this twice with the same outcome and the same uninterest from the media. Rather, the media seemed indignant that the investigator did the investigation in the first place.
Real crime with actions taken to cover up the evidence, clearly biased and illegal exoneration by an unauthorized person, no content of the investigation released. No media or dem objections.
Vs.
Trump – Fake crime, thorough investigation with a decision NOT to charge and processed by the AG as it should be, investigation released. Media and dem apoplexy.
It´s an amazingly corrupt world.
