Young Minnesotans with ‘climate grief’ are feeling anxiety—and taking action

Helen Meigs thinks about climate change. A lot. “It’s always in the back of my mind,” said the Macalester College sophomore. Concern about climate change isn’t rare on campus. In fact, she’s convinced it’s widespread. “My whole generation wonders if we’re getting cheated out of a full future, and we can’t put it out of our minds,” she said. “It’s an anxiety-inducing situation.” That anxiety has a name: climate grief. In 2017, the American Psychological Association recognized the complex mental health burden in people who have experienced losses from natural disasters associated with climate change. It also found evidence that

I can remember this exact same argument in the 1980´s with nuclear disarmament. Everyone was afraid we were going to get nuked and our little campus was the ground zero for the world. Guess what? We all survived. Now, we have a new boogey Man in ´climate change´. After we all survive that, the snowflakes will find something else to protest and anxiety about.

Is it the cold air, or are the people of Minnesota just generally stupid? Between the people they send to Washington, and now the climate BS, one has to wonder if walking and crewing gum at the same time is beyond their IQ level.

How many hoaxes and lies are liberals willing to swallow before they choke on their own pure unadulterated BS? All of the following have been supported and promoted by the "Liberal Press."
Nuclear winter, Peak oil, acid rain, the ozone hole, Mayan Dooms Day calendar, Clarence Thomas, Anita Hill, pubic hair on Coke can, Tawana Brawley, Duke lacrosse players Hoax, Hands up don´t shoot, Trayvon Martin, Brett Kavanaugh a rapist, Covington Catholic High School drummer, Jussie Smollett´s hate crime, Russian collusion, global warming/climate change, (AOC said that she fears "the world is going to end in 12 years if we don´t address climate change).

And this is what years of fake science and teachers brainwashing little kids - now those kids are graduating and they are actually suffering a psychosis which will last their entire lifetime. So, now the face scientists have a new money-making scheme; it is called CAS "Climate Anxiety Syndrome" and for a few hundred thousand bucks per patient the government will pay to treat them.

These kids feel like their world is going to end any day now...their futures are destroyed, so why study, why try to make a life...drugs- take drugs. That´s the answer.

Thanks you GD leftist idiots!

Could it be that the folks who brought us Omar, Franken and Ventura have a whole lot more too worry about than
climate anxiety? It is said that the world´s average IQ is 82 ... you can be sure that Minnesota is partly responsible for that sub 100 global skew.

I recently read an article that if the land mass of the U.S., all of its 3.8 million square miles, were totally forested and had no human inhabitants, the world temperature would drop one tenth of one degree centigrade by the year 2100. So with these folks desire to see America slit its own throat and throw us back into the dark ages...while the real polluters of the world--China and India--sit on their hands, shows an ignorant head-in-the-sand approach to a "problem" (sic) that America can not begin to solve. Put in a shorter way, these students have been listening to the BS of their lefty profs.

This is media, media, media. TV media, social media, moreandmoreandmore social media. Climate grief is singularly due to media telling these people WHAT to think, and even that is too hard for them. This is because nobody, least of all their teachers, has taught them HOW to think. That comes from their parents, their music teachers, their sports coaches, their churches (we hope) and their natural curiosity. These children are still out there and I wish them luck.

When the older generation was in school, it was always the threat of nuclear war. The solution was to cower under our desks. I never thought about it much, because the Russians were not really crazy enough to cause Mutually Assured Destruction and destroy us both.

The kids today are being bombarded by constant refrains of climate change, racism, envy, hatred of anyone who does not accept the progressive agenda, and how terrible Western Civilization and their own country has been, with no discussion of the positive contributions that have been made.

They are subjected to that steady stream of bleak scientific studies and reports of melting glaciers, rising seas and extreme weather events, but I doubt they read anything that refutes the climate change lies. That would go against their progressive world view.

Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines is worth $37billion (£28billion) and flies to 370 destinations on six continents with state-of-the-art aircraft. Truly, it’s a titan of aviation. But it started life as a crop-dusting outfit in 1924. And when it expanded to passenger transportation it used planes that could only hit 90mph, with the wind behind them. Delta has been on quite a journey, then—and these fascinating pictures illustrate the carrier’s dramatic transformation over the decades. Jerry Nadler was at it again Tuesday, waxing indignant about former White House counsel Don McGahn’s refusal to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. It’s all a show, meant to keep old news in the headlines, and to appease the large “Impeach Now!” wing of the Democratic Party without actually doing anything. Everyone on Judiciary knows perfectly well that Congress can’t compel testimony from top presidential advisers except in the most extraordinary circumstances: The chief executive’s right to frank, confidential discussions with his staff is well-established. So Nadler’s bluster about how he’ll “go to court to secure” McGahn’s appearance is just noise for the cameras. Then again, that’s all
