For the first time in Vatican history, the pope allowed for the reading of Islamic prayers and Koran readings from the Catholic facility. The readings and prayer came as Pope Francis met with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Vatican City, a gathering designed to pray for Middle Eastern peace. A Holy See spokesman said the prayers were supposed to be a “pause in politics,” Breitbart reported. The pope said, too, that he hoped the interfaith prayers would foster peace specifically between Israelis and Palestinians, the news outlet said.

Wow!
I´m thinking this q qualifies him as an anti-christ, or a Judas priest at the very least.
When are they going to allow Christian prayers at Mecca, or Temple Mount?
Or is that ´insensitive´?

Yup -- and heading five times a day for the rebuilt Notre Dame.
I did propose that Notre Dame be rebuilt only by Catholics, only for Catholics. But we can´t even trust Catholics to protect their own religion. Is there enough room in Hades?

Game over - Comrade Frank is fully exposed. If The Church doesn´t get rid of him quick, the decay will be irreversible.

The Pope is playing a very dangerous game. It´s as if he is blind to history and blind to what Islam´s end game is. He´s an idiot... not even a useful idiot.

If you don’t like standards or traditions, heck just get rid of them. Notre Dame isn’t the only thing that’s burned to the ground.

He cannot kneel in front of The Blessed Sacrament, supposedly because of his arthritis, but he has no problem kneeling to kiss the feet of those from Sudan. The man has crossed the line from pitiful to pathetic, and I´m afraid that those whom he wishes to impress are mocking him behind his back.

What is really going on here? An attempted coup of the West? Christendom’s commitment to peace and harmony has never been the issue; not during the Crusades, not now, not ever and Pope Francis knows it. During the same week that Notre Dame almost burned to the ground and strong suspicion for arson rests on Muslims the pope goes and does this.

Who is this Devil masquerading as the Pope??
Think of all the knights who died in the Crusades-this charlatan is disavowing them as sure as liberals disavow our war dead in Arlington Cemetery but far worse. And he does this during Holy Week? After the tragedy at Notre Dame. This man is not fit to be a Catholic, much less a Pope.

This Pope should be removed from office. The Catholics would not allow behavior of this type from protestants.

If I´m not mistaken, Muslims believe that, once they have prayed in a location, that location becomes part of Islam. That Frankie did this during Holy Week is especially heinous, though any date at all would have been terrible.
“A pause in politics”? This idiot should not be involved in politics at all - it’s not his job. His job is leading the flock and saving souls. This member of his flock is getting less and less likely to stay there.
Bring back Benedict!

Nice correlation between drop in number of Catholic members and the installation of Francis. . . Let´s have a Catholic Pope for a change or re-install Benedict. Francis is the choice of the
leftists and as usual they destroy anything good; we´ve been watching their destruction of the USA, it´s ethics and morals for political correctness and now Francis is doing the same to the Roman Catholic Church.

As a Protestant I can´t take communion in a Catholic church but a Catholic can take communion in my church. But the fake religion islam can offer koran readings and islamic prayers. Islam is nothing more than a totalitarian political movement seeking world domination and subjugation of all people and if you don´t conform to their sick and twisted political ideology they will eventually kill you. Won´t be long before the Pope says the God of the Bible and the islamic god allah are the same!

Isn´t hatred of gentiles embedded in some muslim prayers? And other goofy things?
I recall some concern expressed after 9/11/01, when there was a bizarre interfaith service at the National Cathedral, and some translations of prayers were done.

Ok, here it is guys: if you are of Catholic persuasion and are disheartened by the Pope´s willingness to fall to heresy and abandon the Faith as it was put into his hands, but don´t know where to go to continue the Catholic faith:
Please consider what I term a Western Orthodox church: the Anglican Catholic church. Just that name plus dot Oh Arr Gee will take you to a site that will explain who we are.
My mother once joked not long after I joined this church that I was now more Catholic than she was. We love our God, our country, and adhere to a church that was practiced before the Great Schism. Please consider us.

The old come back reply you have more than likely heard "Is the Pope Catholic?
This one I truly wonder about.
For the sake of the church, this pope must be removed, replaced, retired or whatever it takes to get relieved of his Papal Authority.

Well, what can you do? Those of us who pointed out early on that Pope Francis was a socialist and a moron were chastised by some of our more ardently Catholic fellow L-Dotters. We were gently chided that we were buying into liberal propaganda and missing the Pope´s secret, sophisticated plan.
It´s not so secret anymore. Francis is a socialist and a moron. Once again, Catholics have been betrayed by the Peter Principle. No, not the commission to Peter that founds papal authority in the words of Jesus Christ. I´m referring to the Peter Principle that says men rise to the level of their incompetence.
I don´t know whether Francis is a incompetent administrator, but I do know he´s a lousy Pope. It´s happened before, and it will happen again. No doubt we will hear that this is all part of God´s plan.
When Winston Churchill was told he had failed of re-election in 1945, his wife said, "Perhaps it´s a blessing in disguise." Churchill replied, "If it is a blessing, it is remarkably well-disguised."
Pope Francis is remarkably well-disguised.

Wondering why an article printed in 2014 was posted? At my first read of it I was incensed but the 2nd time I read the date and was perplexed. What the pope did back in 2014 is still horribly disturbing, especially as a conservative Catholic and in light of the burning of Notre Dame - which was no accident. The pope has been silent on the other thousands of church and cathedral decorations. I´m wondering if these prayers and readings are still going on because muslims are at the fore of iconoclasm.

Jorge Bergoglio is a wolf in sheep´s clothing. I won´t be surprised to see the Vatican suffer the same fate as the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., which performs same sex weddings and also allows Muslims to enter for their Friday prayers, which Muslims must surely see as a conquest for Islam. The National Cathedral suffered heavy damage from an earthquake a few years back. Yes, there are earthquakes in Rome, too.

Does he think that Muslims will reciprocate by allowing Christian worship in mosques? He´s not wishing hard enough.
