As President Trump threatens to transport illegal aliens to sanctuary cities, suddenly, many on the Left are feeling significantly less generous and magnanimous regarding illegal immigration. Colloquially, this is known as "skin in the game." When people have no skin in the game, then the issue is "no skin off their back." Cher, for example, was gung ho when it came to immigration, as she had no skin in the game. However, when she had some skin in the game, her position suddenly became more conservative. (snip) it has become one of the three questions

Great article! If only the rationale therein could be spread across the land. But alas, the sort of people who need a change in their thinking are indeed immune from reason. The leftist (or liberal) brain consists of two lobes: Greed and Hate. Desiring more money and power: Greed. Virtue Signaling: Greed, i.e. the desire for more recognition or adulation. Refusing to respect, or even listen to the other point of view: Hate. Wishing to destroy your opponents: Hate. This explains their every thought and deed.

Yes, questions based on long established wisdom. Coveting your neighbor´s goods has long been a big no no.
However, one of the first things liberals do is cast off historical wisdom. It´s old, it doesn´t apply any more, etc. However, the real reason to deny history is because it gets in the way. Wise parents won´t hand their kids a credit card because they understand the lure and corrupting influence of easy money. Kids, of course, don´t want to hear all that "old fogey" stuff, they just want the cash.
Liberals and their dem party have deliberately uncoupled themselves from historical wisdom and critical review. They would deny you the right to ask them ANY questions.

FTA:Finally, if people are implementing a policy with no concern for the results, caring about only the gesture itself, then these people are unfit for policy decisions in the future.
Right. Like people implementing a policy a coup to overturn the election of a duly elected president? Yes, those dozens and dozens and perhaps hundreds or even thousands involved in that "policy decision" are certainly unfit to ask, "Do you want fries with that," let alone unfit for future policy decisions. DUUHHHH! However, not one of those involved in the coup will EVER be convicted, tried, sentenced and imprisoned for their "policy decisions." They will only be rewarded.
So, your three questions are great. My question is, how long will the policy deciders allow you to ask them?

#1 is certainly right, but...
With all of the logic and reason on our side, how come we haven´t ever been able to USE our smarts to effectively counter the liberals´ solely emotional ideas?
If we´ve been trying forever to use logic and reason against them and it´s never worked, then wouldn´t it be logical and reasonable for us to try another method? For example, how about WHEN SPEAKING TO THEM, we shift gears and use their own emotional arguments against them? Perhaps that´s all they understand? We can´t expect to change every single liberal lemming out there, but perhaps we could be satisfied with engaging a few minds at a time? What´s the harm in trying a different approach instead of throwing in the towel because it´s hopeless?
I personally love to quote conservative sources to liberals. They will inevitably launch into shocked hysteria, "Do you really watch FOX/ do you really listen to that Neo con? "
My answer:"Well yes of course. I listen to BOTH sides so I have as much information as possible to make good judgments." and I follow up with a very concerned but casual look and ask, "Don´t YOU?"
I´ve emotionally lured them into a logical realm and it´s really fun to see them back down so they don´t appear intolerant (gasp) which would be the Worst of the Worst Sin they could commit (in their eyes).
It´s an effective strategy. Try it sometime!

The other question that should be asked when the fools bring up "big business" as the bad guy who should be paying their way is: Who is big business? Your 401K and thus you? Your employer? Your neighbor?
And who in hell do you think pays taxes on business? Tell me how that doesn´t end up in the purchase price we the unwashed masses pay for goods and services?
I stand ready to debate anyone any time on the fact that in a society with any degree of freedom allowing market equilibrium, an attempt to tax a specific tier or group ends up flowing to all. Wages adjust to the new risk, reward, abundance/scarcity, balance and presto we end up in the same place. People need to be educated to the fact that the total tax burden on the nation, on their neighbors, matters to them.

"Big business" -- and therefore big, private donors -- add to the endowments of colleges and universities daily. And the interest from those enormous endowments allows tenured professors to remain in their ivory towers and throw rocks at their supporters. It´s amazing how stupid some "smart" people can be.

And in response to #4, I have to comment. Wisdom comes from God only.
To all Christians, I hope you are reading your Bible from the very first page to the last page. Yes, believing is essential. My question is what do you know what you are believing? The Bible will help you answer that question. Historical wisdom?
You will find it in the Bible. How to apply yourself? You will find it in the Bible. What to watch for? You will find it in the Bible. And more. . .
Without God´s armor, a person can become a target.

My preferred question: Why do you continue to support the party of slavery, the Klu Klux Klan, Jim Crowe, and Japanese-American internment?

Interesting questions. Mine would be: "In the light of the history of the human race, why do you believe that human nature can somehow be repealed and you can create a utopia?"
