Yuma, a city on the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona, declared a state of emergency Tuesday, saying it cannot handle the crush of illegal immigrants the government is being forced to release onto its streets. Mayor Douglas Nicholls said the migrants are being released by the Border Patrol into his community faster than they can leave, and local shelters are already at capacity. He warned of mobs of people “roaming the streets looking to satisfy basic human needs,” clashing with citizens looking to protect their own property. “There is an imminent threat on having too many migrant releases into our community,”

I have no pity on AZ. My understanding they were fighting the wall in some areas of this state.

The function of the U.S. military force is to protect the American people from foreign enemies.
Where are they?

This article does not begin to describe the reality of this horrible situation. The Democrats know full well that this is an emergency and would rather let it happen to all of us than to be perceived as helping Trump. That is how far they have fallen. Despicable.

I´m getting tired of Trump saying he is going to do something and then backing off. He should start sending them to San Fran, etc immediately.

When are we actually going to DO something about this? The greatest country in the world cannot manage to keep third world illegal aliens at bay? Really??!! This is all it’s going to take to bring this nation to its knees? Who knew?
The government has a responsibility to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies both foreign and domestic. I would think an invasion is reason enough. Then along with that we have a government who WILL NOT defend our sovereignty against this flood of illegals. Evidently, the American people have no recourse to either stop the invasion or demand our government defend our sovereignty or deal in a meaningful way with this crisis. Do we have to get to the point of no return before we act on behalf of American citizens.
Our government has put the well-being of politicians and big business above the needs of the American people. It is time for that to stop. Politicians have ruined this country with their arrogance, greed, and soft tyranny based upon radical ideology that we reject wholeheartedly. The media has been busy enabling this betrayal by their lies or omission of truth. The American people would not stand for an army invading our borders and we also will not stand for this soft invasion that the globalists are attempting to cram down our throats because the result is the same. We have reached the breaking point. While these masses don’t come carry weapons the devastating outcome upon the country will eventually be the same.

Maybe now you will stop electing people like McCain and Flake....who consistently fought against your safety and security.

As I remember Yuma voted for Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D) overwhelmingly and those vote came in at the last minute and took the election away from McSally (R).
Sorry Yuma - you voted for the wrong party.

I used to live in Yuma. MCAS Yuma is right smack dab on the border, and the illegals don´t cross in that area. Mexicans and Americans drive back and forth across the border daily, and it used to be that everyone went back home just like they were supposed to.
Notice what the mayor said. "Mayor Douglas Nicholls said the migrants are being released by the Border Patrol into his community faster than they can leave"
That means they are being released in Yuma, but obviously have the freedom to go elsewhere. Meaning, your town and mine, if they can get there. So, when PDT releases them into sanctuary cities, what keeps them in those places has to be the sanctuary city benefits. Hopefully, PDT´s plan will flip sanctuary cities, so the illegals won´t feel welcome anywhere. With NYC deciding to sue to keep PDT from sending illegals to their city, maybe something different than what they want will come out of it.

I detest leftist wordplay but it may be necessary here.
Don´t refer to the wall and deportation which makes it sound like someone´s being marooned.
Call it repatriation - which is what it is and family reunification - which is what it is also.
Use these terms until the soy boys and girls tear their hair out. And then keep using them.
Oh - and actually follow through on repatriation and family reunification.

In a way Yuma is lucky as the vast majority of those migrants (illegal aliens) are passing through headed for interior points around the USA where they already have friends and relatives sojourning.
This is all part of a long term leftist Democrat plan to eventually change the US voter demographics to their favor by importing as many millions of poor, uneducated, and socialist minded foreign peoples as possible into the USA. That is evident as almost every time the leftist Democrats are asked for their proposed solution to the out of control borderline the Democrats slyly put forward their “comprehensive immigration reform” plan that in substance would be an immediate massive amnesty for the up to 22 million illegal alien and growing population now in the USA, along with a Democrat crafted “pathway to citizenship” that would eventually grant those millions of would be legalized aliens US voting rights, thus permanently changing the future national voter demographics to the Democrats favor while leaving the borderline as it is now.
The out of control borderline is all on the UniParty Congress, in keeping with the long term leftist Democrat plan to permanently change future national voter demographics along with the Republican effort to allow as much cheap foreign labor as possible to get into the USA by hook or by crook.
Common sense will tell you that what the Uniparty Congress has been doing has been geared to effectively sabotaging the enforcement provisions of the immigration laws already passed by Congress, and to covertly allow as many illegal aliens as possible to get into the USA. Right now the only force protesting those UniParty plans publicly is President Trump.

Send the illiterate invaders to California which votes Democrat always so they will not make much difference. The State of California already gives all illegals Obamacare so the illiterate also benefit.

#1 reason I will not identify as a Republican. I lay this squarely on the RiNOs who refused to take strong, effective action to correct problems in our immigration system.

I have family in Yuma, but, thank goodness, they live on base, so are somewhat shielded from this mess.

This has nothing to do with McCain, Flake, or the wall. These are people who have turned themselves in at the border and getting dumped into towns all along the border. In Arizona they come through San Luis and Lukeville, a port of entry. Las Cruces has the same problem in New Mexico. We are being overwhelmed by asylum seekers. The UAC from Central America are home free when they hit the border.

I´m with you, #18. Have voted Republican all my life, but I´m finished. The Pubbies have proven over and over that they don´t know how/don´t want to act like the winning party. They´ve been the losers for so long that many of them - RINOs and others - simply accept their status as seat warmers and think, "oh, I mustn´t call out the lying, pompous, self-righteous democrats because the press might say something negative about me; besides, if I want to get re-elected, I must appeal to the middle (isn´t that what the pundits and consultants tell me)?"
It is maddening to watch this sorry play, which, unfortunately, may be moving our nation into its final act.
