Rep. Jim Jordan: I Don’t Know Why Democrats Don’t Want to Know How Many Citizens Are in the U.S.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, said Thursday that he didn’t know why Democrats aren’t interested in finding out how many U.S. citizens live in the country, and he accused them of politicizing the 2020 Census. “I do not know why the Democrats don’t want to know how many citizens are in the United States of America, but for some reason, they’re focused on this question. Maybe it’s politics. It seems clear to me we are having this hearing today for that reason. The majority insists on politicizing the 2020 Census,” Jordan said in his

One of the problems with counting only citizens for the census (whose only Constituional reason is for the apportionment of Representatives to the House of Rep.) is that Constitution says the population should be enumerated. It doesn´t say citizens.

@#1 - It is illegal for illegals to vote, therefore we need to know who is and isn´t here legally - and eligible.

It has nothing to do with anything that makes sense. The dems are so deranged, they are opposed to anything that Trump wants.

Interestingly, the party that likes to count and separate people into groups, suddenly doesn´t want to count people and identify how many of each group there are now?

Think about that, Democrats love to count people, put them into identity groups, but now have cold feet about identifying how many are citizens, compared to those who aren´t?

They want to know how many are homeless, how many are X, Y and Z, but not how many are legal and illegal?

Maybe the latter is far larger than most have stated and would shock many voters?

Exactly #8. And as a citizen taxpayer, I am suspicious that illegal ´residents´ add additional costs seemingly greater than their contributions. Lots of us are concerned about this and it needs to be examined. Census data is used not just for taxing distributions, but also for our representations before congress. The representation of needs and demands of those here illegally should NOT be on par with, and therefore separated from, those who are here as citizens or otherwise legally. If we do not ask, then we have incomplete data. We USED to ask! Why was it stopped?

Because they don´t care. What they do care about is power and that is what this is all about.

Citizens are bailing from democrt dungheaps like New York and California. So much so that these state are in danger of losing house seats to the red states these blue state refugees flee to. That means electoral votes shift as well and the lefts built in advantage in the electoral college is eroded.

By importing millions of refugees and indigent foreigners to these blue state they can bolster their numbers and retain electoral college votes, and maybe even steal a few from low population red states.

Money or power are the only two motivating factors for the left Follow that and you will always know their real agenda.

As concerned as I am about the number of Democrat illegals that we have in the USA, I am even more concerned about the RINO´s who help the democrats to continue the flow. I am a resident of Ohio (not in Rep. Jordan´s district), but aware of his efforts vis-a-vis in trying to get a handle on the number of illegals (read "illegal voters")who will vote for democrat candidates in the coming elections.

A worse problem for Ohio Republicans is Senator Portman who just voted with the democrats against the President. I hope that the rest of Ohio´s Republicans will vote against Portman in the coming elections. I for one will remember his disloyalty.

Is there a class action lawyer out there that will take my case? I want to sue for all the costs that illegals have cost me and others, both against the body of illegals in this country, the states that have received subsidies due to counting illegals and voter fraud, and the federal government for fraud in taxation and redistribution. I would like to also sue for reparations for all the welfare payments made in reparations to minority groups that are poor because of personal choices and not slavery.

During his remarks, the president assailed some asylum seekers’ abuses of the country’s immigration system. “Our nation has a proud history of affording protection to those fleeing government persecutions. The scoring system was established by the national College Board, the nonprofit which administers the test, according to The Wall Street Journal. The new system will use 15 different factors to weigh a student´s adversity score, based on things such as the crime and poverty rates in the neighborhood where the teens grew up. Chinese holdings of U.S. Treasury securities hit a 22-month low in March, according to data released today by the U.S. Treasury. As of February, entities in the People’s Republic of China had owned $1,130,900,000,000 in U.S. Treasury securities. But in March that dropped to $1,120,500,000,000—a decline of $10,400,000,000. There's a recurring theme in American science fiction where the country loses its way, endures some horrible but cleansing disaster, and then rediscovers the blessings of liberty. You'll find it in Robert Heinlein's "Future History" stories, where the Crazy Years -- a period of rapid technological advances, decaying social norms, and mass psychosis -- leads to the backlash of a religious dictatorship. The Prophets regime is eventually toppled by a liberty-loving group dedicated to individual rights. The theme is even more pronounced in Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, where a socialist regime puts the country into another Great Depression, only worse. The country's capitalists
