Hollywood has been considered the king of the movie universe for over a hundred years now, influencing world culture, international filmmaking, and even the U.S. presidency (thinking of you, Ronald Reagan).
In recent years, however, the Los Angeles district itself has faced struggles, with the one-party Democrat rule in L.A. and the rest of California makes life more and more miserable for companies trying to actually get things done and make a profit. Production in Hollywood has cratered as more and more studios film overseas or in tax-friendly film havens like North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas. Surprisingly, even

CNBC sounds like a business channel, but it’s really just another liberal channel. When it thinks about the best “states for business,” they’re matching that with what they call “quality of life.” Some measures – health care, crime – make nonpartisan sense, but CNBC adds grades for “inclusiveness,” “protections” against discrimination, anti-gun "reforms," and naturally, “reproductive rights.” They touted their ongoing winner -- Vermont, the Bernie Sanders State: The best states to live in for 2026: No. 1 has a six-year winning streak The best states are the most liberal states? In the aftermath of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre that left 11 Israeli coaches and athletes dead at the hands of Black September terrorists (bonus question: the Palestinians and which other nation were involved in "Black September?"), Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir unleashed Operation Spring of Youth, a raid on Palestine Liberation Organization camps in Lebanon that killed over 50 terrorists. She also went after the Munich massacre organizers. Operation Wrath of God unleashed Mossad hit squads on Black September terrorists cowering in Europe, under the illusion they were safe there. This operation continued until its final hit on February 14, 1988, in Cyprus. Between nine and 11 key

Many awoke Sunday morning to the stunning news of Sen. Lindsey Graham's (R-SC) sudden and unexpected passing Saturday evening. Among those undoubtedly caught off guard were NBC News and "Meet the Press," who had Graham slated to join Kristen Welker on this morning's program, fresh off his latest trip to Ukraine.
Instead, Welker spoke with President Donald Trump over the phone to get his reaction to the loss of Graham. In their conversation, Trump revealed that he had just spoken to Graham earlier in the evening and wondered if he might have even been Graham's last call:

Rhetoric between the United States and Iran on the Strait of Hormuz is beginning to resemble a championship game of ping-pong, with both sides volleying claims back and forth. In one of the latest, on Sunday, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), which has control over Middle East operations, released a broadside on X, declaring the Strait of Hormuz open despite Iran's claims. The post states:
The Strait of Hormuz is open to all vessels seeking to lawfully transit the international waterway. U.S. forces are positioned and prepared to ensure that freedom of navigation remains available despite unwarranted Iranian aggression,

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) has passed away at 71, and the Senate map just got complicated. Graham had served in the Senate since 2003, having first been elected in 2002, and was seeking a fifth term after winning the Republican primary last month.
Graham's office confirmed his passing in a statement released early Sunday morning, describing a "brief and sudden" illness.
The timing is jarring, to say the least. Graham had just returned from Kyiv, Ukraine, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday. The trip has since become the subject of speculation about whether it was connected to Graham’s passing.

A top Israeli official has announced she already signed an agreement with the son of the late Shah of Persia in a groundbreaking move of recognition, anticipating the hopeful, but not necessarily imminent, fall of Iran’s terrorist Islamic regime.
Pahlavi, in fact, has a transition plan to help facilitate the Persian people’s choice of a new government, which he has described in a number of places, including on the All-In Podcast. Whether he would be shah—as many Persians (Iranians) have called for—or not is unclear, but either way, he wants to help Iran move toward a more democratic government responsive to the people.

Almost exactly a month ago, I told you the tale of the International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor, a revolting and hubris-enrobed individual named Karim Khan (whom you may remember from this most memorable of his stunts)... ...had been suspended from his schweet, schweet gig after a two-year-long (!) investigation for thinking all the ladies found him as irresistible as his mirror did and acting on that ill-founded assumption without asking politely, 'May I?' first. Now, I had not heard that the UN investigation also established the delightful and personable Mr. Khan had retaliated against other court employees who had reported the sexaul misconduct allegations, but it's certainly unsurprising.

WASHINGTON — The Manhattan prosecutor who led the “hush money” case against President Trump, in which the 45th and 47th president was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records, played a larger role in the federal cases against the commander in chief than previously known.
Matthew Colangelo joined Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s team in December 2022 after resigning as principal deputy associate attorney general. Colangelo previously served as acting associate attorney general, the third-ranked post in the Biden Justice Department.
Defenders of Colangelo tried to distance him from Trump-related activities at the DOJ, but calendar records obtained by conservative watchdog America First Legal and shared with

I've written a few of these articles at this point. There was this one with a run-down of what Democratic Socialists want. And there was this one based on a Thomas Edsall column saying the DSA were really just pretending to be working class.
Today the Washington Post business section has an article which, similar to the first one linked above, walks through the differences between mainstream Dems and the DSA. For instance, on how many hours people should work:
The 40-hour workweek has been the law since 1940. Although some Democrats have advocated a shorter workweek, they are largely content to focus

All of you mean conservatives won't have Graham Platner to kick around anymore, as he's just officially dropped out of the Maine Senate race. He detailed his withdrawal in a letter dated Friday to Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows (who, by the way, is running to replace him on the Democrat ticket), saying, “I write to formally withdraw my candidacy for United States Senate," adding that “my name may have been on the ballot, but that ballot line belongs to the people of Maine.”
Platner was expected to make things official on Monday, but opted for the age-old political tactic of dropping big news on a Friday afternoon

On Friday, Turning Point USA (TPUSA) contributor Jack Posobiec, in an on-the-spot interview with Turning Point USA's Taylor Hansen, gave some vivid details of another video shown in the preliminary hearing of Tyler Robinson, who is accused of the murder of TPUSA's Charlie Kirk.
The new video reportedly shows the Kirk assassin actually moving into position and taking the shot. The X post reads:
BREAKING: @jackposobiec details video of Tyler Robinson in today’s preliminary hearing of allegedly taking the shot that killed Charlie Kirk.
Judge Tony Graf is expected to rule on whether probable cause exists for trial following written briefs, with oral arguments set for Sept. 1.
