With the rapid takeover of their party by the Democratic Socialists of America underway, it’s time for every Democrat to answer for what the DSA believes in.
As the City Journal’s Stu Smith reported, the DSA has adopted a new platform that is, incredibly enough, even more radical than its previous one. Although it still hasn’t been published on its website, an advance version, which Smith obtained, is straight-up Marxism, declaring “the entire global system of capital” as its enemy and promising to “build a new society from the ground up.”
We doubt that many Democrats – much less the general public –

You can’t make this up. I mean, people signing up for Obamacare without social security numbers. I thought that was impossible, but I guess not. Surprise! Surprise! Let’s hear from Secretary Kennedy: Picking up where the text leaves off: Hold someone accountable for putting lots of people in Obamacare? I hope so, because that large a number suggests this is more than a minor mistake or data entry error. A ton of people on Obamacare without Social Security numbers tells me that someone was behind this scheme.

Man, it’s been fun watching old-school Democrats freak out as they watch their party get taken over by extremist democratic socialists. New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (14) was perhaps the biggest early warning shot, as the DSA member managed to upset longtime incumbent Rep. Joe Crowley in the 2018 Dem primary for her seat. Now we’ve got the far-left Zohran Mamdani as NYC Mayor, America-hating Darializa Avila Chevalier sending five-term incumbent New York Rep. Adriano Espaillat packing in their primary, along with other concerning wins, especially in the Empire State.

In a cruel irony, just days before we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the creation of the United States of America, which could not have happened without thousands of able-bodied men bearing their own arms to defend their freedom and liberty, the state of Rhode Island will make it illegal to purchase or sell the modern version of a musket. AR-15s and other semi-automatic firearms labeled "assault weapons" will be prohibited for sale beginning on July 1, and some Democrats are demanding the state go even further and ban their possession as well.

When Sir Keir Starmer walked into Downing Street in July 2024, the Labour Party had just won one of the largest parliamentary majorities in modern history. They took 412 seats, yet only one in five eligible voters actually voted for them.
That paradox sits at the heart of British democracy right now – and it is getting harder to ignore.
Labour’s landslide was not the product of a surge in support. It was the product of a split. While Labour held its coalition together, the right-of-centre vote fractured badly between the Conservative Party and a surging Reform UK. Across the UK, the combined —

The recent sweeping victories by Democratic Socialists in New York have political observers of both parties paying attention, although for different reasons. The Democratic Party appears to continue to abandon most of its traditionally reliable voting blocs. But while Democratic Socialists blather on about helping working people, there is one specific group of working people who may get hit the hardest by the new crop of socialist candidates, and it will determine where their support ultimately ends up. The leaders of one of New York City's most prominent labor union have spoken out about the Democratic Socialist wins in the Big Apple. Robert "Bobby" Bartels, Jr.,

The United Kingdom is having a hot summer. Granted, that's a little bit of an eyebrow-raiser in the U.K., which is famous for cool, damp weather, but it happens. Of course, many places see warm summer weather, and for the last few decades, people who live in the civilized world have had a great modern solution to hot weather: Air conditioning. AC not only makes life more comfortable, but for some people, like the elderly and people in poor health, it can be a lifesaver during serious heat waves. It's a lifesaver that's now being denied to Brits, because of the government's lunatic Net Zero policies.

Residents of a small Massachusetts island community are shocked and furious upon learning from town officials that they may not be able to fly American flags to celebrate the nation’s upcoming 250th birthday.
As Fox News reported on Saturday, homeowners on Plum Island received a letter from the town of Newbury warning them last week that it had become aware of multiple “devices and materials intended to deter” protected shorebirds from frequenting beach and dune systems.
These materials included “mylar streamers, flags, and reflective materials.”

“Come MPs and prime ministers, please heed the call,” Bob Dylan might sing about Europe. “Don’t stand in the doorway. Don’t block up the hall…. For the times they are a-changin’.”
Or at least may be changing – not only in Europe but across the globe.
Europe’s ruling elites opened their countries’ borders to millions of unvetted, largely Third World, often Islamist migrants with little interest in assimilating – and gave them free lodging, food and medical care (paid with other people’s money), and an official blind eye to rising crime and molestation of women.

On July 4, Americans will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. At the heart of that document is the proclamation that “all men are created equal” and “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights.” Today, many people think that belief in a Creator is a subjective preference based on their personal faith. But that was not the view of America’s Founders. Nor was it the view held by many of the thinkers who preceded them.
More than two millennia ago, key Greek and Roman thinkers already argued that nature supplies objective evidence of a Creator.

President Donald Trump issued an executive order on June 25 directing federal agencies to expand support for regenerative agriculture and related farm practices.
The order builds on Executive Order 14212, which created the Make America Healthy Again Commission in February 2025. It states that the Departments of Health and Human Services and Agriculture, along with the Environmental Protection Agency, have already committed more than $1 billion toward farm modernization and food supply security.
The new directive sets policy to advance precision agriculture technologies, increase federal spending on regenerative practices, research, and education, and encourage private innovation through reduced regulation and public-private partnerships.

The statistics watchdog has formally intervened after two Oxford academics complained that the Covid Inquiry cited “highly uncertain modelling”. The Telegraph has the story:
Two Oxford academics wrote to the Office for Statistics Regulation (OSR) to complain that in its latest report, the inquiry cited “highly uncertain modelling” with a “degree of confidence and authority that the underlying evidence cannot sustain”.
Prof Carl Heneghan, Director of Oxford’s Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine and Dr Tom Jefferson, a Senior Associate Tutor at the university, contacted the statistics watchdog last month.
