Europe's Boiling Frogs

Original Article

We all know the myth – to boil frogs, slowly increase the temperature so they won’t realize it until it’s too late to jump out of the pot and save themselves. This summer, it appears the frogs are starting to feel the heat. Along with the anger at open borders, this may finally presage the end of the green nonsense and the politicians who are destroying their countries by promoting this hogswallop. Like clockwork, it gets hot in summer in western Europe. And like clockwork, the morons in the European ministries and media blame climate change for their own failure to face reality and make proper provisions for adapting to it.

The deep state oppressors seem to be obsessed with making the citizens miserable. They tried to kill millions during covid. Thankfully in America we still have free speech, and access to information that saved many lives. The only reason we are not in the same mess as Europe is our right to bear arms. They have tried repeatedly to pull that back, with every arranged school shooting. But Americans come from the stock that got the heck out of Europe, and out from under the rule of kings. We fight back.

Article mentions that Germany dismantled their nuclear reactors but didn’t explain they were replaced by windmills. Windmills!!!!! Last year the wind stopped blowing in Germany for several weeks and they spent millions each day buying electricity from other suppliers. I live amongst windmills and know how unreliable they are.

Well, it has to be stated. This will happen in the US if we let down our guard. Remember Zero said something like… “We can’t keep driving our SUVs and running our ACs at 72 degrees, and expect the rest of the world to like us”. Remember that? "the pressure drop sucks hot air into the room" This is a flat out LIE. There are two, SEPARATE, air flows, inside and outside. Inside air, moved by an INSIDE fan, flows over refrigerant cooled coils and release heat. The cooled air is returned to the room. The refrigerant is sent to a compressor and outside coils where a OUTSIDE fan moves the air to pick up the heat to be disbursed outside. This also eliminates bringing odors and contaminants like pollen inside. DUH! The people who wrote the "explanation" are either morons or think the German people are. Government at its finest, stupid, wrong, and corrupt.

Oh, well. Not my problem. When we travel to Europe, we make sure to get reservations where there is AC in the rooms. We really don't give one damn about what some stupid econazis say. AC works and is desireable in hot weather. We often travel in Europe in September...it being cooler then, and pleasant with fewer of the Europeans on their typical August vacation, so venues are less crowded.

Electricity is so expensive and so scarce - - that all European hotels do not keep the lights on in their upper story corridors. They have motion detectors - - which flip the lights on for about thirty seconds when someone is moving - - then the corridors go completely dark again. God forbid the motion detectors don't work - - and they often do not - - because then the entire floor becomes pitch dark.

Another home run outta the park by Clarice. The description of heat pump units is spot on -- I spent 10 years selling those units to hotels, and heat pumps were always more economical than standard heat/ac units (although they cost about $100-$150 more to purchase). But I just thought of a great way to get the UN out of New York. Turn off the AC.

Just as his party is overrun by communist revolutionaries, Barack Obama has decided to take center stage in a frenetic public relations campaign, ostensibly to promote his so-called library. He’s here, there and everywhere, silkily opining about everything under the sun, except the only thing that matters: the disintegration of his party. Like Nero playing the fiddle while Rome burned, Obama is curiously detached from the disaster he helped create. Democrats desperately need a leader to rally around, but all they have is Obama. He is the only former Democratic president who is still sharp, charismatic and dynamic enough to take up the mantle.

Ryan Mendes, 36, is being accused of attacking a Brazilian woman whom his team hired to translate for him when the Cape Verde team played in New Zealand back in March, the New York Post reported. The translator, who has not been publicly identified, claims that she informed at least three Cape Verde soccer officials, but nothing came of her complaint. With the rapid takeover of their party by the Democratic Socialists of America underway, it’s time for every Democrat to answer for what the DSA believes in. As the City Journal’s Stu Smith reported, the DSA has adopted a new platform that is, incredibly enough, even more radical than its previous one. Although it still hasn’t been published on its website, an advance version, which Smith obtained, is straight-up Marxism, declaring “the entire global system of capital” as its enemy and promising to “build a new society from the ground up.” We doubt that many Democrats – much less the general public –

In a cruel irony, just days before we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the creation of the United States of America, which could not have happened without thousands of able-bodied men bearing their own arms to defend their freedom and liberty, the state of Rhode Island will make it illegal to purchase or sell the modern version of a musket. AR-15s and other semi-automatic firearms labeled "assault weapons" will be prohibited for sale beginning on July 1, and some Democrats are demanding the state go even further and ban their possession as well.

When Sir Keir Starmer walked into Downing Street in July 2024, the Labour Party had just won one of the largest parliamentary majorities in modern history. They took 412 seats, yet only one in five eligible voters actually voted for them. That paradox sits at the heart of British democracy right now – and it is getting harder to ignore. Labour’s landslide was not the product of a surge in support. It was the product of a split. While Labour held its coalition together, the right-of-centre vote fractured badly between the Conservative Party and a surging Reform UK. Across the UK, the combined —

The leaders of one of New York City's most prominent labor union have spoken out about the Democratic Socialist wins in the Big Apple. Robert "Bobby" Bartels, Jr.,

The United Kingdom is having a hot summer. Granted, that's a little bit of an eyebrow-raiser in the U.K., which is famous for cool, damp weather, but it happens. Of course, many places see warm summer weather, and for the last few decades, people who live in the civilized world have had a great modern solution to hot weather: Air conditioning. AC not only makes life more comfortable, but for some people, like the elderly and people in poor health, it can be a lifesaver during serious heat waves. It's a lifesaver that's now being denied to Brits, because of the government's lunatic Net Zero policies.
