President Donald Trump swore in his pick to chair the Federal Reserve, Kevin Warsh, on Friday, saying he wants him to be independent in the role. “I want Kevin to be totally independent,” Trump said. “I want him to be independent and just do a great job. Don’t look at me, don’t look at anybody, just do your own thing and do a great job.” Trump said Warsh will restore respect to the Fed. Trump repeatedly criticized Warsh’s successor, Jerome Powell, for failing to cut interest rates.

Israel established a secret elite intelligence task force in the aftermath of Hamas’s October 7, 2023, massacre to track down and kill or capture every terrorist involved in the attack — from senior commanders who orchestrated the assault to individual gunmen who crossed into southern Israel during the deadliest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. According to a detailed Wall Street Journal report published Wednesday, the unit — known as NILI, a Hebrew acronym derived from a biblical verse meaning “The Eternal One of Israel Does Not Lie” — was formed by Israel’s Shin Bet internal security service and military intelligence shortly after the Hamas-

The government of Saudi Arabia reassured visitors on Friday that it is prepared to screen for and otherwise address any public health threats during the upcoming Hajj season, responding to growing international concern about the spread of Ebola and hantavirus. The hajj is the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, the holiest city in the religion, which Muslims are mandated to make, if possible, once in their lifetimes. Saudi Arabia typically welcomes upwards of one million Muslims to the city for the hajj on an annual basis, most coming from all over the world, including countries hostile to Saudi Arabia such as Iran.

President Donald Trump said Thursday that the United States will be deploying 5,000 troops to Poland as the U.S. reviews its military presence in Europe. It was not clear how long the troops would be stationed in Poland, which currently hosts 369 permanently assigned active-duty service members and about 10,000 personnel of rotational force, or when exactly the troops would be moved to the European country. "Based on the successful election of the now President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, who I was proud to endorse, and our relationship with him, I am pleased to announce that the United States will be sending an additional 5,000 Troops to Poland,"

Rep. Nancy Mace, R-S.C., introduced a constitutional amendment requiring natural-born citizenship for members of Congress and federal judges, sparing the Democrats she targeted while potentially affecting several Republicans. The amendment would apply prospectively, meaning no existing officeholder would lose office if ratified, including Reps. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Pramila Jayapal of Washington, and Shri Thanedar of Michigan, whom Mace named in her news release. The proposal, H.J.Res.188, has no cosponsors and faces long odds in Congress. Since 1973, more than 3,900 joint resolutions proposing constitutional amendments have been introduced, according to Congress.gov. Fewer than 9% received committee consideration, and none have been ratified since 1992.

The United States' aircraft carrier Nimitz and its strike group arrived in the Caribbean this week as tensions with Cuba continue amid negotiations and the wake of the U.S.'s indictment of Raul Castro. The arrival comes even as President Donald Trump downplayed the threat of an escalation in negotiations with Cuba on Wednesday. Trump has previously hinted at what he called a "friendly takeover" of Cuba as the island's government faces an economic and energy crisis and mounting domestic opposition. The United States Southern Command said the aircraft carrier was accompanied by Carrier Air Wing 17, USS Gridley and USNS Patuxent,

After the Department of Justice unveiled charges against Raúl Castro, the former socialist leader of Cuba, Congress is divided between those eager to see the regime forcefully toppled and those who think America has its hands full with Iran. On Tuesday, it was revealed that a Florida grand jury has indicted Castro and five others in connection with the fatal downing of two American planes in 1996 that resulted in the deaths of three Americans delivering aid to Cuba. The charges come amid a U.S. blockade of shipments to the island. Castro, whose brother Fidel led the nation from 1959 to 2008, has been charged with murder.

President Donald Trump called the indictment of former Cuban President Raúl Castro a “very big moment” for Cuban Americans, who he believes “appreciate” the indictment. Trump spoke to reporters on the tarmac of Joint Base Andrews shortly after Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced the indictment. I think the Cuban population of Miami, and certainly beyond Miami, people that came there that were decimated, whose families were ruined, appreciate what the Attorney General just did today,” Trump said.

(The Center Square) - Vice President JD Vance defended a nearly $1.8 billion taxpayer fund through the U.S. Department of Justice aimed at supporting victims of "lawfare and weaponization." The $1.776 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" would support individuals who have been targeted by "lawfare and weaponization," according to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche. The fund came out of the settlement of a $10 billion lawsuit between President Donald Trump and the IRS over the leaking of his tax returns. Vance said Republicans and Democrats could receive some of the funds while the DOJ vets applications for assistance.

Fidel Castro's younger yet equally communist brother may well find himself in hot water with the American federal justice system. Late on Tuesday, reports surfaced that the Trump administration's Department of Justice (DOJ) is seeking an indictment of Raúl Castro. The specifics aren't yet known, but any charges are expected to arise from the 1996 shooting down of two aircraft belonging to the Miami-based Cuban exile group, Brothers to the Rescue. Raúl Castro was Cuba's Minister of Defense at that time.

Every March and November, Americans dread the notification in their inbox or on the news to “Remember to change your clocks!” Most of us rely on the adage “Fall back in fall—spring forward in spring” to sort out the confusion of which way the clock is moving. But you’d be hard-pressed to find anyone who gets excited about the biannual shift. However, many Americans do love the later hours of sunlight daylight saving time affords. With equal fervor, others, particularly older people, dislike the thought of getting up in the dark that accompanies it. It is this lack of consensus, as well as significant pushback from health experts, that has stalled

Stephen Colbert's run as a political rent boy for Democratic politicians has, mercifully for America, come to an end. Because American leftists are clinically insane, fans of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert like to blame President Trump for the host's walking papers. Some of them throw in a dash of garment-rending about CBS and corporate evil, but usually circle back to a Trump tantrum. As I have said on many occasions, President Trump isn't just living rent-free in their heads, he's building condos there. What those on the left aren't talking about is the program's bloated production costs and the fact that Colbert made a conscious decision to tell

House Democrats joined six Republicans on Thursday to derail legislation advancing the long-delayed Smithsonian American Women’s History Museum after Republicans added language clarifying that the museum would focus on biological women. The bill failed in a 216-204 vote, despite years of bipartisan support for the project. The legislation had been spearheaded by Rep. Nicole Malliotakis. The collapse came after Republicans amended the proposal to specify that the museum would be dedicated to “preserving, researching, and presenting the history, achievements, and lived experiences of biological women in the United States.” The revised legislation also prohibited the museum from portraying “any biological male as a female.”

This is part of a shocking tally where 683 children under 10 were reported for offences over three years. This isn’t some isolated bureaucratic error. It’s the latest symptom of a system that treats tiny children as miniature criminals or budding bigots while real threats from failed integration and ideological grooming go unaddressed. None of these under-10s can be prosecuted — the age of criminal responsibility in England and Wales is 10 — yet police are dutifully logging every playground scrape, tantrum, or alleged slight under ridiculous
