On Monday, the White House released the 2026 Economic Report of the President prepared by the Council of Economic Advisers. It reviews Trump administration policies, including a key chapter on Protecting and Rebuilding the American Dream of Homeownership, which proposed innovative and creative solutions to past issues that led to the current housing crisis.
“We’ve got a 10 million home shortfall, and we’re operating like it's 1946 instead of 2026,” Paolo Tiramani, CEO of BOXABL, told Just The News.

The new chief watchdog for U.S. spy agencies has opened a review of several "urgent concern" whistle-blower complaints fielded by his predecessor after bombshell documents revealed that intelligence officials kept exculpatory evidence from President Donald Trump's 2019 impeachment proceedings and may have suppressed concerns about Chinese meddling in the 2020 election.
Officials told Just the News that Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) Christopher Fox, who took over the job in October,

United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby suggested a potential merger with American Airlines during a meeting with Trump administration officials, two sources familiar with the discussion said.
The conversation, which took place on February 25 at the White House during a scheduled session on the future of Dulles International Airport, has drawn new attention after Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy signaled openness to more airline industry consolidation. Duffy cautioned, however, that any deal would face tough scrutiny to ensure it would not harm competition or raise passenger fares.
A combination of the two carriers would create the world’s largest airline by capacity and control nearly half the U.S. domestic market, according to industry data.

The United States Central Command reported Tuesday no ships made it past the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz in the Persian Gulf within the first 24-hours of the blockade.
President Donald Trump ordered the blockade after negotiations in Pakistan failed to secure a peace deal between the United States and Iran over the weekend.
CENTCOM said the mission to block the Strait consists of over 10,000 U.S. Sailors, Marines, and Airmen, over a dozen warships and dozens of aircraft.
"During the first 24 hours, no ships made it past the U.S. blockade and 6 merchant vessels complied with directions from U.S. forces —

The Chinese Communist Party offered hearty congratulations to Hungary’s expected next prime minister, Péter Magyar, on Monday following his party’s sound defeat of current Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, signaling interest in maintaining the outsized influence Beijing developed during Orbán’s 16 years in power. Orbán lost to Magyar, a former member of Orbán’s party, and his Tisza Party on Sunday in a landslide, relegating his political party, Fidesz, to the opposition. Orbán last spent eight years in leadership of the opposition after losing the 2002 election and, barring some proposed term limits, under current law can have the opportunity to run again for the prime ministership in the future.

Democrats did not turn a blind eye to Rep. Eric Swalwell’s (D-CA) alleged behavior, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said during an appearance at the American Public Transportation Association’s legislative conference this week, stating that she had “no idea whatsoever” about these accusations.
Pelosi, 86, was confronted on whether or not Democrats have turned a “blind eye” to the sexual misconduct accusations against Swalwell, who has since suspended his gubernatorial campaign and announced a coming resignation from Congress. No. That’s not true,” Pelosi denied. “That is absolutely positive — and it is true that they may say that, but it is absolutely not true.”

Pope Leo XIV’s relentless and morally confused attacks on the Orange Bad Man have failed to damage the president’s standing with church-going Catholics, who give Trump a 58 percent job approval rating. Oh, and 50 percent of Catholics who actually go to church also approve of Trump taking military action against a suicidal terrorist regime in Iran seeking nuclear weapons. While it’s true Trump has lost support amongst the broad group of those who identify as Catholic, those who actually practice the faith (which means attending church) still support the president by a 58 to 42 percent margin.
That number flips to 42 percent approve,

Democrats aren’t holding Swalwell accountable. They’re removing an obstacle that potentially threatens their power in California. Editor’s note: This article discusses explicit sexual acts.
California Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who until Sunday was running for governor of his state, will now be one of those cautionary tales his party likes to use in claiming that — unlike Republicans — Democrats are too concerned with principles and decency. It’s a pathetic coping front for what really happened with that sick party, which once again is living by the destructive, anti-American standards they’ve tried imposing on everyone else.

The FBI said Monday night that it is "closely" reviewing newly declassified memos showing the intelligence community kept secret for years evidence raising questions about the credibility and bias of the main accuser in President Donald Trump's 2019 impeachment case.
"The declassified impeachment memos show the so-called whistleblower behind the 2019 impeachment singled out Director Patel by name, relied on hearsay, submitted false claims, and had documented political bias — all of which was hidden from the American people," FBI spokesman Ben Williamson wrote on his X account.

If you were to celebrate the Tucson Pride Festival this past February, you were out of luck. Organizers of Tucson Pride had to dissolve their organization and cancel the annual festival, which for some reason wasn’t held during national Pride Month, which is in June. On a Facebook post, the organizers told their followers that, “This decision was not made lightly…We recognize the deep importance Tucson Pride has held in our community since 1977, serving as a space of visibility, advocacy, celebration, and resilience for nearly five decades.”

Ahead of a consequential vote on extending the government’s authority to conduct overseas espionage, several House conservatives are expressing their concerns.
On April 20, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which enables the government to spy on foreigners, is set to expire.
Many House Republicans and President Donald Trump have argued in the past that this power is easily abused, resulting in the inadvertent surveillance of American citizens.

Last month, when my work took me to India, I learned a surprising lesson: On green energy, the “developing world” is light-years ahead of New York.
And the current crisis at the Strait of Hormuz, where a fossil-fuel chokepoint has sent New Yorkers’ costs soaring, puts the Empire State’s energy airball in sharp focus.
Gov. Kathy Hochul has tacitly acknowledged Albany’s failure to grapple with the practical realities of its insistence on the need to wholly transition the state’s economy from fossil fuels to renewables.
Now she’s trying a new strategy: Memory-holing New York’s flagship 2019 Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act.
