Biden Official Who Created "Disinformation"

A Biden official who launched the Disinformation Governance Board and served as co-chair of the so-called Ministry of Truth has been appointed to advise the powerful Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, prompting concerns from some Republican lawmakers. The presiding judges (snip) appointed Jennifer Daksal on Feb. 1 to serve as amicus curiae for the court. (snip) Grassley criticized the current amicus curiae appointment process at a Jan. 29 Senate hearing and lamented that the roster of current Amici contains some people with deeply concerning partisan ties."

Comments:

Although the FISA Court was established by Congress to protect civil liberties it has frequently failed in that role. In one notorious instance, Judge Boasberg, in his capacity as District Court judge, sentenced a DOJ attorney to a slap on the wrist for submitting a forged document in support of a surveillance request -- to the FISA Court while Boasberg himself was serving as its chief judge. Senator Chuck Grassley is sponsoring a bill that would reform aspects of the FISA Court's operations, including giving Congress a role in selecting FISA amici.

FISA needs to be dismantled. It is a Deep State spy operation practicing lawfare as it did with RussiaRussiaRussia, FISA was the result of George W, Dimbulb getting duped into creating a gigantic Deep State hoax - DHS, which has done NOTHING to protect US citizens . . The history of DHS is a miserable record - Ridge, Chertoff, Napolitano, Johnson, Mayorkas - all worked with NSA, CIA, and FBI and FISA Courts to spy on US citizens & practice lawfare against political enemies. Mayorkas should be given life in prison - minimum

Pubs and congress critters are completely powerless when they choose to be. Why would they give such power to unelected judges in the first place? I know, unaccountability. When does the vote come up for Grassley's bill? Right, they're on some vacay. FTA "Indeed, the board is packed with anti-Trump attorneys and Democratic donors." How does this happen? Boasberg appears to be running his own little shadow government; his name shows up everywhere there's trouble and nothing good for Americans going on. Maybe he's so powerful no one can stop him.

Kimberly Strassel recently opined in the Wall Street Journal about the "hot air" of the talking filibuster strategy currently being considered by Senate Republicans as a way to pass the SAVE America Act, a bill that would mandate voter ID in federal elections, require proof of citizenship for registering to vote, and make states purge noncitizens from their voter rolls.
