The Republican National Committee Chair Joe Gruters argued on 77 WABC radio’s the “Cats Roundtable" that the Democrats' shift further to the left is a signal that Republicans will be able to "defy history" and maintain control of Congress following the 2026 midterm elections. He said the election of figures like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and other so-called rogue radicals indicates that the Democratic Party is willing to embrace extremism. As many conservative commentators have voiced, the election most likely to implement common-sense policies aligned with its party platform is the one the American people will choose to grant political power.

The Chair should be telling the electeds that they need to do more, while they can.

"RNC Chair Says Rising Left-Wing Radicalism Boosts Rinos for 2026 and 2028". There, FIFY!
Seems to me like the RNC is all for Rinos being nominated and elected. I wouldn't contribute a farthing to the RNC these days for that simple reason. Individual candidates, yes. RNC, no.

Only if they learn to exploit it properly. The stupid RINO Party is famous for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

What a fool he is. Democrats know how to play the public. The republican politicians run from conflict. We need intelligent backbone in this party not a bunch of cowards. I think it is time to change our party leader, Joe Gruters is not a good choice.

Until the RNC starts to campaign on wiping out the loony left in a vigorous way, the only support I will give them is my vote. They started badgering us for money as soon as Donald Trump took office and it only gets more intense. One gets the feeling that money is their only focus and the campaign season is four years long.

At the RNC level, Republicans always seem to me to have a 'sidekick mentality'. They like to stand next to a powerful figure, and think that gives them status and 2nd-hand power. Currently like playing Tonto to the PDJT's Lone Ranger. But just like in the old joke, if he ever says: looks like we're goners, Tonto! They'll say: whatdya mean WE Paleface?

Listen, Gruters - - you numbskull.
Your most important job - - your only job - - is to prevent the demonrats and communists from stealing another election. Get out there - - and recruit tens of thousands of Pubbies to monitor the elections - - and sue the crap out of evil demonrat officials - - from now until election day.
Do it now, dopey!

Really? Well, Republicans better start changing their state's election laws to prevent widespread fraud, etc or it won't matter how many Republicans turn out and vote. Right now in Virginia, the new Governor and her Dem controlled state legislature already have proposed bills weakening how ballots are counted, when they are counted, etc and our current laws aren't the toughest in the country.

Never heard of Joe Gruters until today.

1. Republicans in the House need to continue to develop and pass bills that address America's problems. If the Senate continues to ignore them they can form the basis for another Contract With America -- a tangible set of proposals Republicans will pass if given control of both houses of Congress.
2. We need to hold that Midterm Convention Trump has talked about to fire up the base. We need to make a "presidential election year effort" turnout of Republicans at the polls this November.

I wouldn't count on it. Never underestimate the capacity for Rebooblicans to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Conservatives, keep your powder dry.
