Sorry, Libs, Obstruction and Rioting Are

A federal judge in Minnesota just handed down an 83-page order that perfectly illustrates how the left weaponizes language to protect lawbreakers. As PJ Media previously reported, U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez, a Biden nominee, issued sweeping restrictions Friday on how federal immigration agents can handle what she calls "peaceful protests" in Minneapolis. The order blocks agents from using pepper spray, making arrests, or deploying other crowd-control tools against protesters during Trump's ongoing immigration enforcement operations. Federal law enforcement also can't stop or detain drivers and passengers near demonstrations, unless there's "reasonable articulable suspicion" they're forcibly interfering with immigration operations. In theory, one could argue there’s nothing wrong with the order.

Comments:

I sincerely hope that the DOJ is appealing this atrocity!!!

It's all in the interpretation. Some people see out-of-control riots where others see a peaceful application of the First Amendment. Having those overweight and overpaid goons doing your protesting and destroying federal property kind of gives the game away.

The Supreme Court should take up whether "paid protestors" are considered to be exercising First Amendment rights to "free speech." Here's what the AI bot says, "Paid speech can be considered compelled speech if individuals are required to express certain views or messages as a condition of employment or participation in a program. However, the legal interpretation can vary based on context and specific cases." If it's discovered through discovery that incarcerated Antifa goons and their useful idiot "protest-moms" were "paid" during their criminal activities, then they can't use as their defense, "I was just exercising my 'free speech' rights!", in Criminal Court, be it State or Federal.

Two can play the game. Simply keep doing what you were doing and claim that there was ‘reasonable’ suspicion. Let the Lefties go to court.

While anti-ICE leftists may get a pass for their crazed behavior in blue states, Florida is vowing to make an example of them. In Florida, a woman identified as Jennifer Cruz was arrested for allegedly punching a trooper in the face during an immigration law enforcement operation. Instead of treating her with kid gloves, Cruz found out first-hand that the rules are a whole lot different in the Sunshine State. She could also be seen in dashcam footage kicking out at another officer before he was forcefully introduced to the hood of a squad car, all while smiling. Watch: [Tweet, video]

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) revealed that Democrats would “restore most of the cuts” that the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had made. While taking part in a discussion at the Center for American Progress, Schumer received a question about what he “can do about bringing” the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) back, after DOGE came in and made cuts. “If you look at the budget actually, we’re working on right now — and we’ll have the T-HUD budget, you know, transportation and HUD budget, we restore most of the cuts and even go higher than previous years on many of the programs that DOGE slashed,” Schumer responded.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) vowed that if elected to be the next governor of California, he would take away driver’s licenses from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. While speaking at an event by the Empowerment Congress, Swalwell was asked about his plan to “protect” people in the state from ICE agents, according to Mediaite. Swalwell explained that he would “direct law enforcement” officials to use “every power to prosecute” ICE officials for “battery, false imprisonment, and murder,” according to the outlet. “They’re gonna lose their immunity,” Swalwell said. “They’re not going to be able to drive, I will take your driver’s license. Good luck walking to work, a**holes.”

RINO Congressman Don Bacon (R-NE) floated the idea of impeaching President Trump if he invades Greenland. “I would lean that way,” he said of supporting an impeachment over Greenland. “The off-ramp is realizing Republicans aren’t going to tolerate this and he’s going to have to back off. He hates being told no, but in this case, I think Republicans need to be firm.” Bacon announced his retirement from Congress last July, and he’s eying impeachment as his final act. Bacon also co-sponsored a bill with Democrats to curb Trump’s power and prevent a military invasion of Greenland, which Trump has not expressed plans for.

Mr. Star Comes Out apparently felt that Native Americans were being left out of all the victimization of oppressed minorities in Minnesota and decided to shoulder his way onto the stage.

The Jan. 7 shooting death of Renee Good has become a political Rorschach test. A Quinnipiac poll released on Tuesday finds that a majority of American voters, 53%, believe ICE agent Jonathan Ross, who shot Good on a Minneapolis street last Wednesday, was not justified in doing so. Thirty-five percent believe the shooting was justified, while 12% have no opinion. But the poll results vary widely when the respondents’ political affiliations are examined. Seventy-seven percent of Republicans believe the shooting was justified, while 28% of independents and only four percent of Democrats hold the same opinion. These poll results are unsurprising. Shakespeare warned, “Ingratitude is monstrous; and for the multitude to be ingrateful, were to make a monster of the multitude.” In the case of TPS, “multitude” is correct. As of January 2025, approximately 1.4 million foreign nationals in the United States were shielded from removal under the program. The Trump administration decided to terminate TPS for several countries, with Somalia as the most recent. That choice is the right step in a long-overdue course correction for an immigration program that previous administrations exploited far past its statutory purpose.
