Federal immigration authorities arrested multiple people, including illegal vendors and enraged protesters, on Tuesday afternoon in a targeted operation on Canal Street in Manhattan’s Chinatown, authorities and law enforcement sources said.
ICE agents descended on the block between Lafayette and Centre Street, which is typically crowded with merchants selling knockoff designer bags and other items, around 4 p.m., according to the sources.
Some vendors tried to flee, with some seen running and falling as agents closed in, according to WABC.

Former Biden White House Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre called Trump White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt “deplorable” during an appearance on ABC’s “The View” on Tuesday.
“The View” asked Karine Jean-Pierre to react to a clip of Leavitt and a text exchange she had with a far-left Huffington Post ‘reporter.’
Karine Jean-Pierre echoed Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables” insult and called Leavitt “deplorable.”
“Any advice for the current press secretary?” Sunny Hostin asked KJP.

In New Mexico, it’s almost impossible to prove voter fraud. No proof of citizenship is required to register to vote, and no voter ID is required for in-person voting. For absentee voting, no photo ID is required to obtain an absentee ballot, no copy of a photo ID need be included with the returned absentee ballot, and there is no signature verification of the signature on the returned inner envelope.
Why does New Mexico have such slipshod laws? You can thank the Democrat-controlled state Legislature that has had single-party rule for decades.

The rabbi of a prominent Manhattan synagogue slammed Zohran Mamdani as a “danger to the security of the New York Jewish community” — as he urged congregants to back Andrew Cuomo for mayor instead.
“I believe Zohran Mamdani poses a danger to the security of the New York Jewish community,” Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove, of the renowned Park Avenue Synagogue on the Upper East Side, said during his Saturday sermon.
He said Mamdani refuses to denounce the phrase “Globalize the Intifada,” denies Israel’s legitimacy as a Jewish state, has vowed to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and cited his “thrice-repeated accusations of genocide” against Israel in Gaza at last week’s mayoral debate.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told NBC News that he is “ready” to engage Russian strongman Vladimir Putin directly to negotiate an end to Russia’s invasion of his country, potentially at a proposed summit in Hungary, the state outlet Ukrinform reported on Sunday. Zelensky made the remarks following a visit to the White House and a one-on-one meeting with President Donald Trump on Friday. Trump stated during the engagement that, following the signing of a peace agreement to end the war in Gaza last week, he intends to focus America’s foreign policy on achieving a sustainable peace for Ukraine.

Mohammed Nazzal, a senior official with the Hamas terrorist organization, defended his group’s mass execution of Palestinian civilians on Friday after President Donald Trump warned Hamas could face utter destruction for the murders. Nazzal, a member of the Hamas Politburo, defended public executions as “exceptional measures” for dealing with “criminals.” He denied accusations that Hamas was simply rounding up and killing its adversaries to keep power in Gaza, even though the ceasefire deal stipulated that Hamas would play no role in postwar administration.

Amazon announced late on Monday that connectivity issues that affected numerous platforms that use its Amazon Web Service, or AWS, have been resolved after causing utter chaos for the majority of the day.
In a statement on Monday evening, the Amazon cloud computing company said that all the widespread website outages that started just after midnight on the West Coast on Monday have been resolved, and that all services have returned to normal operations. In short, if you were having trouble using Amazon, Ring, Zoom, Snapchat, Canva, Venmo, T-Mobile, Life360, and more, that nightmare should be over.

In 1969, Muammar Gaddafi seized power using a successful coup against King Idris, while promising to modernize Libya.
He styled himself as a revolutionary savior with a manic desire to shape global politics by blending Arab nationalism and Islamic socialism. Black gold made it possible. Using oil wealth to build free education, housing programs, and public works, Gaddafi also built one of the most repressive security states in the Arab world.
Gaddafi's Libya was one of the sources of funds for terror groups from the IRA to the Abu Nidal Organization for decades. After Libya's involvement in the Berlin disco bombing in 1986, the U.S. bombed Tripoli and Benghazi,

Evocative of that infamous 2019 Washington Post article that described the recently-deceased ISIS killer Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi as an “austere religious scholar” who displayed “canny pragmatism” during his reign of terror, candidate for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani recently posted a photo to social media showing him cheerily embracing a man by the name of Siraj Wahhaj (real name Jeffrey Kearse), a Muslim imam who has a long history of raising funds for convicted killers with terrorist ideologies, calling the experience a “pleasure” and referring to Wahhaj as a “leader” and “pillar” of the community:

Pop quiz. During which Trump administration did the following happen?
ICE has been targeting the home of immigrant children, mothers, and families in California, leading one critic to say the raids “go against our nation’s fundamental values of equality and justice for all.”
Another said, “How then could America say it’s OK to send parents of children away? What value system is that? I think it’s un-American.”
The American Immigration Council said that “ICE raids have left children without parents and feeling abandoned, separated nursing babies from their mothers, separated pregnant wives from their husbands, and compelled local communities and organizations to scramble to address child welfare crises in their wake.”

An appeals court just ruled that President Donald Trump can deploy National Guard troops to violence-plagued Portland, Oregon.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland has been under near-constant siege for months, as Antifa, Trantifa, and other radical leftists violently harass and even assault agents and federal property. Trump wanted to send in military backup, and this time, the legal decision went his way.Forbes reported Monday: “A federal appeals court ruled Monday that President Donald Trump can send troops to Portland, Oregon, while litigation over their deployment moves forward, overturning a lower court that blocked Trump from his latest effort to use the military in Democratic-leaning cities.”
