Remember the dark days of the Biden years, when the economy felt like it was sputtering along and every other job created seemed to be on the government payroll? Well, there's good news. Things have changed completely under President Donald Trump's second term. The latest numbers are nothing short of phenomenal, especially if you're a fan of actual, you know, private sector job growth.
The White House wasted no time touting the recent jobs report, and who can blame it? The contrast is stark.
The U.S. job market continues to defy expectations under President Trump.

With the riots in Los Angeles now dominating the news -- covered mainly as "lawful" riots -- how do Americans see the enforcement of immigration law under the new administration? Democrats clearly believe that the violence in Los Angeles has given them a political opening against Donald Trump and the Republicans. Otherwise, Democrat governors wouldn't have leapt to defend the illegal aliens and protestors in LA, right?
Well, perhaps they have chosen ... poorly. A new poll from CBS News shows that Trump's deportation policies have majority support, with a clear plurality believing that those policies are making the country safer. And this poll got taken

We tend to think of riots as physical manifestations of spontaneous outbursts of rage, and for many rioters, they are.
But, more often than not, riots are staged for a purpose: to create a narrative of an overbearing state using harsh tactics to suppress victims of oppression. Many of the people who participate in riots are indeed swept up into the ecstatic emotion, becoming part of a crowd with a license to release their Id, but the people who spark and lead the riot know exactly what they are doing, having planned and prepared for them.

LOS ANGELES — California Gov. Gavin Newsom said he planned to file a lawsuit Monday against President Donald Trump in response to the administration’s extraordinary deployment of the National Guard to confront immigration protesters who took to the streets in Los Angeles.
“Commandeering a state’s National Guard without consulting the governor of that state is illegal and immoral,” Newsom, a Democrat, told MSNBC on Sunday. The streets of the sprawling city of 4 million people were quiet Monday morning, but the smell of smoke hung in the air downtown, one day after crowds blocked off a major freeway and set self-driving cars on fire as police responded with tear gas, rubber

Thousands of anti-ICE rioters descended on a major freeway in downtown Los Angeles Sunday evening, blocking traffic in both directions, while rioters downtown set off fireworks and torched several self-driving cars.
Police officers were eventually able to force the mob down an exit ramp, restoring the free flow of traffic on the 101 Freeway, but Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell admitted that his officers were “overwhelmed” by the scale of the riots, which have continued for four consecutive days in Los Angeles.
“We are overwhelmed,” McDonnell said in a Sunday night press conference. “Tonight, we had individuals out there shooting commercial-grade fireworks at our officers. That can kill you.”

CNN was claiming not too many hours ago the situation in Los Angeles was "mostly peaceful."
That was nonsense. But it's has to be bad when even CNN acknowledges that things have "taken a turn" and there's a problem. Now, they're no longer just calling them "protests," but "incursions" and "violent." They're still trying to give some of the leftists a pass as "peaceful," while acknowledging there are violent ones. They also note the anarchists and the pro-"Palestinian" radicals who are in this crowd as well.
What they don't say is that the anarchists are a part of most radical leftist protests. It's not a bug, it's a feature.

President Trump was heading to Camp David earlier on Sunday to huddle with military advisors and others in his administration, in the aftermath of Los Angeles turning into a mishmash of violence and disorder during anti-ICE protests, which began on Friday there. More on his latest comments in a minute, since this needs a little background from Saturday night.
I think it might be useful to show ahead of time, also, how Homeland Security is being as clear as possible about the consequences for anyone causing havoc or working to raise the current unrest in L.A. They are not playing around

Five years ago, America lit the match.
This summer, we may finally learn what it looks like when someone actually puts the fire out.
The riots of 2020 weren’t just lawless; they were sanctioned. Police precincts were torched. Businesses razed. Federal courthouses turned into war zones. It was a nationwide spectacle of surrender, not by the people, but by the leaders who were supposed to stand between civilization and collapse.
Minneapolis, Portland, and Seattle all fell victim not just to angry mobs but to their own governors and mayors, too cowardly to stop them.

The Democratic Party is spending $20 million to learn how to reach young men. Here’s Ilyse Hogue, the co-founder of “Speaking with American Men,” explaining the problem:
“Democrats are seen as weak, whereas Republicans are seen as strong,” Hogue said. “Young men also spoke of being invisible to the Democratic coalition, and so you’ve got this weak problem and then you’ve got this, ‘I don’t think they care about me’ problem, and I think the combination is kind of a killer.”
Ah, I see. Democrats want to rebrand themselves as being strong and powerful.

The left threw violent anti-immigration protests in seven different areas of Los Angeles beginning on Friday, and you’ll never guess who paid for it.
If you guessed "you," you are right.
Not only are taxpayers paying for the initial ICE raids, which netted 44 illegal aliens, but we’re paying for the police, sheriff's deputies, enhanced California Highway Patrol, and the federal response to the violent protests against the ICE raids, too. But that's only the half of it.
Most Americans are only too willing to pay for law enforcement, but it turns out that you’re also paying for the L.A. immigration protesters,

A federal judge on Sunday declined to issue an order to prohibit Donald Trump from removing three board members of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, as the administration seeks to zero out funding for public media stations, PBS and NPR.
In declining to issue a preliminary injunction, U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss wrote that the CPB had failed to meet the threshold to halt Trump’s effort to remove Sony’s Tom Rothman, as well as Laura Ross and Diane Kaplan.
Moss wrote, “Although the case presents important questions regarding the status of the Corporation and its relationship with the federal government, the Court must leave those questions for another day.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass issued a wild statement on Friday in the wake of the start of the anti-ICE rioting in her city, saying "We will not stand for this." She didn't mean they wouldn't stand for the riots or obstructing law enforcement, she meant they wouldn't stand for the ICE actions. This morning, we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions in multiple locations in Los Angeles. As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place. These tactics sow terror in our communities
