Host Jake Tapper said, “Let’s talk about what you did this week raising a lot of eyebrows here in Washington, D.J. You announced this week you’re the Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, but you’re raising $20 million to boost primary challengers running in safe Democratic seats against incumbent Democrats.” He added, “Here’s James Carville.”

The Pentagon is in “total chaos” and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is unlikely to remain in his role, according to its former top spokesperson, who painted a scene of dysfunction, backstabbing and continuous missteps at the highest levels of the department.
“The building is in disarray under Hegseth’s leadership,” John Ullyot wrote Sunday in a POLITICO Magazine opinion piece. “The dysfunction is now a major distraction for the president — who deserves better from his senior leadership.”
Ullyot, who resigned from the Pentagon last week, described a department in collapse. He accused Hegseth’s team of “falsehoods”
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared details of a March attack on Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis in a message group that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer, the New York Times reported on Sunday, raising more questions about his use of an unclassified messaging system to share highly sensitive security details.
Hegseth allegedly shared the same details of the attack that were revealed last month by The Atlantic magazine after its editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, was included in a separate chat on the Signal app by mistake, in an embarrassing incident involving all of President Donald Trump’s most senior national security officials.
The Trump administration inherited one of the most dire national security crises in American history, and recent reports from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) demonstrate just how costly illegal immigration has been for U.S. citizens.
A series of discoveries from DOGE — headed by Elon Musk — have exposed the degree to which illegal aliens are taking advantage of taxpayer-funded programs and even illegally impacting our elections. A DOGE official recently announced the agency has discovered that millions of foreign nationals are enrolled in Medicaid, and thousands more are registered to vote.

I’ve had sitting on my computer for a few days an essay by Rod Dreher, an American conservative who now lives in Hungary, the only country in Europe making a stand for traditional values and refusing to accept unlimited Islamic immigration. The Maryland Democrat, who initially trumpeted his mission to "rescue" a deported MS-13 gang member, is now desperately trying to rewrite the script of his adventure gone wrong.
When Van Hollen first landed in the country, he couldn't wait to broadcast his virtuous mission to the world. "I just landed in San Salvador," he proclaimed proudly, promising to secure the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, whom he claimed was "illegally abducted."

President Donald Trump wants to help illegal migrants self-deport from the United States as some of his supporters complain about the slower-than-hoped pace of deportations and Democrats launch a massive resistance.
“We’re doing a self-deportation [program], and we’re going to make it comfortable for people, and we’re going to work with those people to come back into our country legally — the good ones,” Trump told the Spanish-language division of Fox News. He added:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday reported “good progress” on negotiations for a mineral rights deal between Ukraine and the United States.
“The basic legal stuff is almost finalized, and then, if everything moves as quickly and constructively, the agreement will bring economic results to both our countries,” Zelensky said in his daily address to the Ukrainian people. According to Svyrydenko, Ukrainian negotiators have “adjusted several items within a draft agreement.” If the American side is satisfied with those adjustments, a memorandum of intent could be signed very soon.
Zelensky’s remarks echoed the assessment given by Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, who said “significant progress” has been made on the deal.

In an appearance on MSNBC, Clyburn explained that Democrats main problem is that they are unable to share their winning message with the rest of the country because the mainstream media is unwilling to amplify it.
He explained.
I think the message that’s coming from the Democratic Party is a good message. The problem we’ve got, honestly, is that we have to depend upon the media to deliver it.
Rep. Jamie Raskin threatened foreign leaders who “facilitated authoritarianism in our country” by currying favor with President Trump on issues like deportation — saying that Democrats will not “look kindly” on his supporters when they “come back to power.”
Referencing El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele specifically, Raskin (D-Md.), 62, suggested that Dems should keep score of foreign leaders who brownnose Trump, 78, during his second term.

It seems clear to me that the broad scope and speed of the administration’s actions have knocked the sense out of the media, the Democrats and, alas, the judiciary. They cannot seem to process the swift and expansive range of change without making themselves look ridiculous.

I could describe many examples but the easiest most complete one is that of the gang banger, wife beating, human trafficking suspect Salvadorean citizen who illegally crossed out borders and resided here. You know who I mean -- the thug the press describes as a “Maryland Man.”

After many years in the wilderness, Ann Coulter is finally back on Team Trump.
The conservative commentator and columnist appeared on C-SPAN this weekend where she answered calls from the public about her views on the current administration.
When asked by the host her initial thoughts, Coulter described it as the “most wonderful 100 days in U.S. history,” adding that she “can’t believe how great Trump is.”
She explained:

Sunday is a “clearing the spindle” day, and one of the things on my spindle has been Nate Silver’s prediction last week that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, aka AOC, is currently the most likely person to be the Democrat party’s 2028 presidential candidate. Frankly, I think he’s right. She’s telegenic, has name recognition, and manages to make the same politics that killed tens of millions of people in the 20th century seem user-friendly. She’s also Bernie Sanders’ anointed heir, and he missed the nomination in 2016 and 2020 only because the Democrat party panicked.
