David Hogg: The Time for James Carville’s
‘Timid’ Politics Is Over

Democratic National Committee Vice Chair David Hogg said Friday on CNN’s “The Lead” that Democratic strategist James Carville believed in “timid” politics. Host Jake Tapper said, “Let’s talk about what you did this week raising a lot of eyebrows here in Washington, D.J. You announced this week you’re the Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, but you’re raising $20 million to boost primary challengers running in safe Democratic seats against incumbent Democrats.” He added, “Here’s James Carville.”

Someone needs to tell the young pup (Hogg, he gives me the creeps) that the bite of an old snake (Carville) is just as deadly if the bite is from a young snake. Carville is an old snake but he is no demented FJB. Here's hoping that Hogg runs like a bull in a china shop destroying everything in sight. Nothing changes. Every generation of 20 somethings believe they know everything, and are oh so smart and their plans are the best thing ever. I guess it is a DEI thing Success, experience, knowledge, qualifications unnecessary. Hogg is about as DEI as you can get.

While those districts might seem safe due to the voter registration numbers, but if they do try to primary some of their own, I sure hope the RNC has a candidate as an option for voters. After all, could look very normal and appealing compared to the Democrat option.

I can't wait to hear Carvilles response to this. Carville is an evil manipulative liar, but he was never stupid. Hogg is just stupid. And he's to young to realize just how much he doesn't know. I remember my 20s when I knew for a fact that I had all of the answers. Experience and wisdom shows us how little we actually know.

First, Hogg has to raise the $20 million. Which is chump change if you plan to challenge multiple well-financed incumbents. Then, you gotta pay all those "consultants " who leach off most political campaigns (includin young Mr Hogg). That should leave about a buck fifty for the for each of these candidates . We had a GOP primary for a single state rep position last year with an incumbant losing huscseat. I was told over $6 million was spent by the candidates and their allies. Each time a flyer showed up in the mail (and we got multiple on a day's mail) cost $20,000 per mailing. Multiply that for Congressional or Senate races.

The Pentagon is in “total chaos” and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is unlikely to remain in his role, according to its former top spokesperson, who painted a scene of dysfunction, backstabbing and continuous missteps at the highest levels of the department. “The building is in disarray under Hegseth’s leadership,” John Ullyot wrote Sunday in a POLITICO Magazine opinion piece. “The dysfunction is now a major distraction for the president — who deserves better from his senior leadership.” Ullyot, who resigned from the Pentagon last week, described a department in collapse. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared details of a March attack on Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis in a message group that included his wife, brother and personal lawyer, the New York Times reported on Sunday, raising more questions about his use of an unclassified messaging system to share highly sensitive security details. Hegseth allegedly shared the same details of the attack that were revealed last month by The Atlantic magazine after its editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, was included in a separate chat on the Signal app by mistake, in an embarrassing incident involving all of President Donald Trump’s most senior national security officials.

The Trump administration inherited one of the most dire national security crises in American history, and recent reports from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) demonstrate just how costly illegal immigration has been for U.S. citizens. A series of discoveries from DOGE — headed by Elon Musk — have exposed the degree to which illegal aliens are taking advantage of taxpayer-funded programs and even illegally impacting our elections. A DOGE official recently announced the agency has discovered that millions of foreign nationals are enrolled in Medicaid, and thousands more are registered to vote.

“Not always, but most of the time, people act in their own self-interest.” The above quote is our passport through the space-time continuum — the DeLorean we’ll drive to steal a sneak-peak at Election Day 2028, as we play Carnac the Magnificent. And it works… about 75% of the time. Alas, the future is stubbornly indifferent to the plans of today. People are mostly predictable, but black swan events still happen. Every now and then, a researcher in Wuhan will be dissecting bats and forget to wash her hands. Or a political speech in Butler, Penn. will be disrupted with gunshots. Life is crazy. It’ll never be fully predictable.

Its renewed offensive has targeted and killed Hamas officials who played important roles in distributing cash to cadres and sent others into hiding, Arab intelligence officials said.

A pair of earthshattering, history-altering, Chris Christie-sized stories broke this week, but they’ve (mostly) skated beneath the political periphery. That’s because you can’t grasp the sheer enormity of the consequences until you connect them together. On their own, they’re inconsequential, back-of-the-page news stories — scarcely soliciting a shoulder shrug from political wonks. But together, as a one-two punch, it will change American politics forever. And it will murder the modern Democratic Party. There’s been a slow-moving coup… but nobody’s noticed! It’s tied to the larger political realignment nationally:
