We reported previously on Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen's grandstanding trip to El Salvador to talk about the status of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. He said his request to see or talk with Abrego Garcia was roundly rejected, with the Vice President of El Salvador suggesting he go through the American Embassy. They had to tell a Congressman how you're supposed to do things. But of course, he's not even asking about an American citizen; he's asking about a citizen of El Salvador. So it's a truly bizarre position of a Democrat going there to try to bring a man "home" — when he's an illegal alien.

For this Nation to remain true to its principles, we cannot allow any American’s vote to be denied, diluted, or defiled. The right to vote is the crown jewel of American liberties, and we will not see its luster diminished.

The “end of history” is over and Europe is experiencing a “transatlantic crisis”, says Ursula von der Leyen, former Angela Merkel acolyte turned European Commission supremo.
“Another, new European Union” is needed to shape the “new world order” emerging out of power struggles between the United States, China, and Russia the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen told a German newspaper. Speaking to Die Zeit, the top Eurocrat expressed her interpretation of events that “The West as we knew it no longer exists”, stating that beyond the old understanding of what countries were Western and which not, the European Union is now in talks on working “together with

Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is due in Washington on Thursday to meet with President Donald Trump. She is expected to make a personal appeal for less punitive tariffs on European Union (E.U.) trade with the world’s biggest economy.
Meloni is the first trans-Atlantic leader to sit down with Trump since he announced, and then quickly suspended, 20 percent tariffs on European exports.AFP reports Meloni — described by Trump as a “fantastic leader” who also aligns with his conservative views — has worked hard to keep communication channels open as Trump looks to rework trade with the E.U. through tariff variations.
Meloni has urged Brussels to embrace pragmatism in trade talks,

Letitia James once declared that “no one is above the law.” And now, it appears, she might get to test that theory on herself.
This week, in a karmic corkscrew so tight it could pop the lid off a can of virtue-signaling pea and lentil soup, the Federal Housing Finance Agency referred New York Attorney General Letitia James to the Department of Justice for possible mortgage fraud.
Yes, that Letitia James—the one who sued Donald Trump for allegedly overvaluing buildings, counting too many bathrooms, and violating New York’s unspoken law against being a Republican with real estate holdings.

In this Wednesday episode of "How the Media Churns," Secretary of Education Linda McMahon appeared on "CNN This Morning with Kasie Hunt," and gave Hunt heartburn as she explained why Maine Governor Janet Mills has been placed under investigation for civil rights violations because of her insistence on allowing transgender athletes to compete in women and girl's sports. Attorney General Pam Bondi also announced on Wednesday that the Department of Justice has filed a civil lawsuit against the State of Maine over these Title IX violations.

Los Angeles— In the fight for the U.S. House, Democrats are hoping pop rock star power will help oust a long-serving Republican east of Los Angeles as the party looks to regain control of the chamber and slow President Donald Trump’s agenda.
Tim Myers, a Grammy-nominated former bassist for international hitmakers OneRepublic, announced Thursday he will challenge Rep. Ken Calvert in the battleground 41st District in Riverside County that stretches from the L.A. suburbs to the resort haven of Palm Springs.
“Ken Calvert has been in Washington for 30 years,” Myers says in a video announcing his campaign. The “status quo isn’t working.”

Liberal pundits and anti-Trump Republicans got taken to the woodshed by CNN’s Harry Enten yesterday. There’s this myth that Trump voters are regretting their vote. There has been a deluge of stories based on shoddy polling from overtly anti-Trump clown operations who claim there’s a lot of buyer’s remorse out there. The fact is that’s a lie. I don’t know who is running these polls, but it once again shows how this industry, like the media writ large, has lost its credibility in the Trump era. Too many push polls, oversampling, and internal tweaks to get results that make liberals happy.

Harvard has refused some simple demands President Trump made on behalf of taxpayers. As a result, Trump has withheld billions in federal funding to the far left school.
As the conflict escalated this week, Trump even directed the IRS to look into the process of revoking Harvard’s non-profit status.
Now, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has announced that her department is cutting millions more in grants form the school.
The Hill reports: Noem announces cancelation of $2.7 million in grants to Harvard. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Wednesday announced the cancelation of more than $2.7 million in grants to Harvard University amid tensions between

Harvard alum and PragerU contributor Shabbos Kestenbaum praised President Donald Trump for freezing $2.2 billion in federal funding for Harvard University after the Ivy League school rejected Trump’s demands to crackdown on campus anti-Semitism.
During a Wednesday interview with Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Breitbart Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak on The Alex Marlow Show podcast, Kestenbaum called Harvard “an elitist corporation” and said that it is a “no-brainer” that U.S. taxpayer money should not be funding “an institution that capitulates to the dumbest and worst and most radical elements” of society.

CNN ‘media reporter’ and resident potato Brian Stelter is defending PBS and NPR, saying that they’re ‘simply covering the news.’
Conservatives have been calling for the defunding of both outlets for years, correctly suggesting that these outlets take tax dollars yet provide incredibly biased coverage which always takes the leftist position on issues, frequently criticizing anyone to the right of Bernie Sanders.
Now that it looks like Republicans might finally pull taxpayer funding for both outlets, Stelter is running to their rescue, laughably trying to paint them as honest news sources.

Thomas Steven Sanders, a convicted child murderer whose federal death sentence was commuted by Joe Biden in December 2024 through his autopen, has been indicted for first-degree murder by a Louisiana grand jury.
Sanders was originally sentenced to death in 2014 for the 2010 kidnapping and murder of 12-year-old Lexis Roberts of Las Vegas.
He had taken Lexis and her mother, Suellen Roberts, on a trip to the Grand Canyon, during which he murdered Suellen in Arizona and then brought Lexis to Louisiana, where he killed her in Catahoula Parish.
Despite his federal conviction and death sentence, Biden commuted Sanders’ sentence to life imprisonment without parole
