Please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated at all times, it looks like we’re in for a bumpy flight. No less an authority than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says so, claiming Sunday that climate change is one of the driving forces behind a rise in severe flight turbulence.
Buttigieg set out his prediction by first declaring “The reality is, the effects of climate change are already upon us in terms of our transportation.” He was speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation, forecasting severe turbulence is something that will continue to“affect American travelers, whether here or abroad.” Buttigieg continued:

Little Petey said this about trump « There’s evidence that droughts that might have been partly worsened by climate change contributed to everything from the Syrian Civil War to the migration out of Central America that’s starting to hit our own borders, and this is just the very beginning,” Buttigieg told host Alisyn Camerota. “We could see climate wars in the future. Let’s not let that happen.”
“The bottom line is the president of the United States cannot keep us safe. And the reason he cannot keep us safe is he doesn’t want to admit there’s even a problem,” he added«
What a perfect description of Biden’s Border

Whatever the reason for increased atmospheric turbulence, it only impacts people flying. In a recent incident in Singapore, a convective wave that created a 3 g acceleration killed one person and injured about 30 others. The person who died was a 78-year-old woman who died from a heart attack. Many of the other were flight attendants. All the remaining injured were people who did not have their seat belts on. An analysis of the weather at the time showed that the flight was passing between thunderstorms and was legally far enough away not to pose a threat.
What the flight crew couldn't see on their weather radar but could see by satellite photos was a huge vortex screened behind one of the thunderstorms. If they had known they were entering a region of turbulence, they would have suspended the food service and told everyone, including the flight attendants, to buckle up. This would have prevented any of the injuries except possibly the heart attack when the rollercoaster ride took place.
Turbulence is the largest cause of commercial airline injury and death, accounting for 30% of customer injuries and 40% of flight attendant injuries. The best solution is to buckle up at all times and not stand in the aisle waiting to get into the lavatory.

Stupid people imagine all sorts of magical things -- which have zero basis in reality. And Butt-gig is definitely very stupid. Looks like Alfred E. Neumann, the idiot from the old Mad magazine.

And here I thought it was because of public immorality - like Butt-boy and his 'husband'. Silly me, it was my fault because I drive a gas car and have a gas cooktop. Who'd a thought?

Last few weeks flew over to London & back from Frankfurt. Had a few bumps, but nothing terrible.
Can say the last 20 years of going back & forth to Europe several times a year with similar experience.
Just keep your seat belt on when sitting in your seat. Taxes assessed on airline travel have gone up a lot,
several hundred dollars per ticket. I am sure that since that has been levied, our governments have used the
money to decrease the turbulence...somehow.....yeah.....the plans they have implemented of $10/gal gas in EU has
stopped the global warming & turbulence is flat now....

The last mini–Ice Age ended in 1918. The in 1912 Colorado the there was a frost in June. This year it has been colder than usual; it is the end of May and we get warm days but very cool breezes. The earth wobbles on its axis and that has an effect on climate change. None of the climatologists seem to take that into account.

Having a thermometer in your house does not exactly make you a climate expert. Ask AOC, she is qualified as one because she was a bartender.

Climate change is so amazing. There’s absolutely nothing it can’t do. Everyone on the planet should have died three or four times over the last 40 years. It just keeps on ticking!

OK, I will play along. All of Trump's problems are due to climate change, so he should be freed immediately.
