The Federal Reserve has voted to hold interest rates steady at their current 23-year-high, officials announced today.
The decision spells misery for households who are already struggling under the weight of soaring interest rates on credit cards, mortgages and personal loans.
It marks the sixth consecutive time that the Fed has chosen to keep rates at their current level as it battles to tame inflation.
The video player is currently playing an ad.
The rate of annual inflation rose to 3.5 percent in March, still well above the Fed's 2 percent target.
In a policy statement released today, the organization said rates will not be slashed until officials have 'greater confidence

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) could be the latest Democratic lawmaker to face a censure resolution in the House after Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) announced plans to condemn the hard-left lawmaker over her comments on pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses.
Bacon is set to introduce the resolution as early as Wednesday, although it remains unclear when the Nebraska Republican will seek to force a vote on the measure. The text has not yet been finalized for the resolution, although it’s likely to include Omar’s latest comments as well as past statements regarding Israel, according to a source familiar.

Joe Biden’s aides spliced a 24-second scripted video of the president eight times, raising concerns about whether he can deliver simple remarks without mistakes.
About one-third of Democrats doubt Biden’s mental fitness, a Harvard/Harris survey recently found.
Another poll revealed 82 percent of Americans harbor concerns about his physical and mental health.
Only about one-third of voters say Biden is physically or mentally fit to serve a second term, Quinnipiac found.
Politicians often record remarks on camera for social media, but few short videos are as heavily edited as Biden’s 24-second video.

The sad truth is that the majority-Democrat legislature is mostly filled with self-promoters, deal cutters, and parasites indebted to the three witches at the top of the food chain: the Lockdown Queen of America, FBI kidnap victim and CCP cheerleader, Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Democrat Attorney General Dana Nessel, who frequently uses lawfare to punish her political enemies and the dirtiest Democrat Secretary of State in America, Jocelyn Benson. If Senator Jim Runstead’s assessment of a bill that was passed in the Democrat-majority Senate today is accurate, it sure looks like MI SOS Jocelyn Benson, who’s been working overtime to manufacture new ways to cheat in the upcoming 2024 election,

The newly installed chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) is already backing down from his pledge to spend “every day” of 2024 to elect presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump as president again to instead spend most of Tuesday trying to save the embattled House Speaker Mike Johnson from justice, a report from Politico Playbook on Wednesday shows.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA), an actual conservative and actual Republican, has been making moves against Johnson for his various betrayals in recent weeks including passing a bloated government funding plan that gave Democrats everything they wanted, casting the deciding vote for continuing warrantless surveillance of American citizens

The Department of Homeland Security revealed that it sent over 200,000 migrants on a controversial parole program to 45 cities across the United States between January and August 2023.
The policy, which was enacted in October 2022, allowed migrants who had not entered the country illegally to fly directly into America.
Migrants were also required to have a sponsor in the US and pass various vetting tests. It was initially announced for Venezuelans, before adding Haitians, Nicaraguans and Cubans amid one of the worst migrant crises in American history under President Joe Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

What do conservative Americans see in viewing the protests on college campuses currently? As one of them, I see the look of ignorance and failure.
I also see the real possibility that, one day soon, one of these protests will result in lives lost. You can’t view the escalation of intensity without smelling the scent of growing violence in the air.
Nor can you watch the following video shared on X by N.D. Wilson, whose son and his friend held the door against an angry mob made up of pro-Hamas students, and not fear for the safety of the two young men. The two locked arms to help protect Jewish students who

"The election is clearly changing now, moving towards Biden," the influential Democratic strategist Simon Rosenberg declared on March 26. "The Biden bump is real." For Republicans, Rosenberg is someone worth listening to; he was right about the nonexistent "red wave" that many in the GOP expected back in 2022. When he said the election was moving, it was worth noting. Now, though, the situation is a little more complicated. Ever since President Joe Biden's State of the Union address on March 7 -- the one in which he appeared to shout much of the time to prove his vigor -- Democrats have been hoping for

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) slammed Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams and the presidents of Columbia Univeristy.
Ocasio-Cortez responded to a post on X which referred to remarks made by Adams during a press conference earlier, in which he said the protest at Columbia University had been “co-opted by professional outside agitators.” “If any kid is hurt tonight, responsibility will fall on the mayor and univ presidents,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “Other leaders and schools have found a safe, de-escalatory path. This is the opposite of leadership and endangers public safety.”

Last month the Third US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that mail-in ballots with no dates cannot be counted by Pennsylvania election officials.
Democrats use this tactic frequently to add more ballots to their candidate’s totals following election day.
“Mailed ballots that arrive on time but in envelopes without dates handwritten by Pennsylvania voters or with incorrect dates should not be counted, a three-judge panel of the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday. Their 2-1 decision strikes down a lower court ruling.” NPR reported last month.
“The main legal issue surrounding what are often called “undated ballots”
