These days, finding a poll with good news for President Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats is harder than finding a politician in D.C. without their hands in your pockets. A recent survey found that most Americans can clearly see what the slew of indictments against former President Donald Trump is about, an issue that could spell trouble for Biden’s chances of winning reelection. The survey, conducted by McLaughlin and Associates, revealed that most respondents believe Biden is using the government against Trump through the justice system to skew the outcome of the upcoming presidential election. Interestingly enough, it is not only Republicans

HOUSTON — President Joe Biden made a stop in Houston on Thursday.
The president arrived just after 11:50 a.m. at Ellington Field and was greeted by Houston Mayor John Whitmire and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo before heading to River Oaks for a private fundraiser.
Before his stop in Houston, Biden went to two fundraisers in Dallas. “There’s the old saying, ‘Why rob the banks? That’s where the money is,'" said Rice University Political Science professor Mark Jones. "In Texas, the money is in Dallas and in Houston.”
However, Jones believes the money will be spent almost entirely outside Texas.
“This is not about trying to flip Texas," he said.

Speaker of the House Mike Johnson says he plans to invite Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress.
What better way for Netanyahu to counter Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's completely inappropriate and disgraceful speech he delivered that encouraged Israel to hold an election while Israel is at war? Schumer most likely delivered that speech at President Biden's request. Biden doesn't have the nerve to be honest about his feelings about Netanyahu. He likes to point to several decades of friendship but privately he is stabbing Netanyahu and Israel in the back.

Good news if true, even it appears to be offered as an alternative to killing the last four Hamas brigades in Gaza. That certainly beats the ludicrous suggestion earlier this week from Joe Biden and his administration that the IDF could secure the Egypt-Gaza border to starve Hamas out of Rafah ... while the US airdrops food and medicine into the city.
But is this on the level? The Jerusalem Post reported it this afternoon, based on an earlier NBC News story:
American officials have seemingly greenlighted and supported the Israeli assassination campaign in Gaza and abroad, according to a report on NBC on Thursday, citing unnamed American and Israeli officials.

A federal judge ordered the FBI to release the writings of the transgender woman who shot and killed six people at a Christian school in Nashville on March 27, 2023.
In the hours after the shooting, Breitbart News noted that police indicated Audrey Hale identified as transgender.
Less than a month after the shooting, Breitbart News pointed out that Hale left behind a suicide note, 19 journals, and other items, and all of them have been kept from the public since the attack occurred. (The exception was a November 2023 leak of three pages, purportedly from the shooter’s writings. Seven Nashville police officers were put on “administrative leave” over the leak.)

If polling among Independent voters is any indication, Team Biden had better be very afraid. President Joe Biden, while riding in a statistical dead heat with former President Donald Trump, is not performing very well among Independents, a key voting bloc. Despite the full-on media propaganda campaign against the former president and the list of politically motivated indictments against him, Trump has managed to present a formidable challenge to the incumbent – even among voters who are not firmly in the MAGA camp. New polls reveal that Biden’s failure to win over independents might be one of the reasons why he can’t pull ahead of the Republican contender.

A White House valet who was with former president Donald Trump on the day Congress certified his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden told the House January 6 select committee that Mr Trump threatened then-vice president Mike Pence’s future political viability in a phone call just before Mr Pence was to preside over a joint session of Congress to count electoral college ballots.
According to a transcript of the interview of the unnamed White House valet, the valet overheard Mr Trump telling Mr Pence: “Mike, this is a political career killer if you do this” as the two men spoke by phone while Mr Trump was in the Oval Office.

NEW YORK — NEW YORK — The Wall Street debut of Donald Trump’s Truth Social network could give him stock worth billions of dollars on paper. But the former president probably will not be able to cash it out right away, unless some things change.
The longer-term outlook for the business is highly questionable. Trump's company has said it expects to continue losing money for a while, and at least one expert says it's likely worth far less than the stock market suggests. Trump's pending return to Wall Street comes down to a vote scheduled for Friday by shareholders of a company named Digital World Acquisition Corp., which at the moment

Seventy-one percent of Palestinians in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank believe Hamas made the right decision in attacking Israel on October 7, according to a new poll conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research.
The percentage of West Bank residents who support the Hamas attack has decreased slightly since December, when 82 percent of West Bank respondents said they agreed with the decision, though support for the terror attack has increased in Gaza, rising from 57 percent in December to 71 percent in March.
When asked whether “the war on Gaza since October 7 has revived international attention to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict

Angela Chao, a shipping CEO and sister-in-law to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, was drunk when she backed her Tesla into a pond and died last month in Texas, police say.
The Blanco County Sheriff's Office ruled Chao's death an "unfortunate accident," according to a report on the investigation released Wednesday. An autopsy was not performed on Chao, but a toxicology test revealed her blood alcohol concentration level was nearly three times the legal limit in Texas, the report said.
"The toxicology results indicated Chao had a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.233 g/100 mL," investigator Adam Acosta wrote. The state's legal BAC limit is 0.08.

Manhattan’s largest neighborhood school board district passed a resolution Wednesday night that could put the city’s policy allowing males to compete in female sports on the chopping block.
In an 8-3 vote, the Community Education Council District 2, which includes the Lower East Side to the Upper East Side, approved a measure forcing the city’s Department of Education to allow a public review and redrafting of its guidelines around trans participation in school sports. The vote followed a heated meeting attended by city council members, district parents, and transgender-identifying female actress Elliot Page.
School-board members Maud Maron, Allyson Bowen, Sabena Serinese, and Len Silverman co-sponsored the resolution. The measure demands

Alternate headline: 19 Senate Democrats Endorse Terrorism As Legitimate Exercise of Politics. How else to describe a memo signed by almost half of the Senate Democrat caucus calling on Joe Biden to be "bold" and unilaterally declare an intent to recognize Palestine as a sovereign state as a direct result of the war Hamas started on October 7?
And while Hamas still holds Americans hostage in Gaza, no less. Shouldn't Senate Democrats start with demands for their release?
Nineteen Democratic senators led by Tom Carper, a longtime ally of Biden from his home state of Delaware, wrote that the Middle East crisis had “reached an inflection point”
