Rudy Giuliani faces financial ruin after a court ordered him to pay an astonishing $148 million for defaming two Georgia election workers he accused of trying to steal the 2020 election for Joe Biden. The bombshell verdict dealt a catastrophic blow to the 79-year-old former New York mayor and was vindication for election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, who said his allegations caused a flood of threats that made their lives hell. The mother-daughter duo said Giuliani's lies that they engaged in ballot fraud to rig the election against Donald Trump made them scared to leave their homes and unable to get jobs.

Well - for this to stand someone has to prove Rudy man these statements out of malice. Suppose by the time it gets to the SCOTUS there are enough clowns on the court to craft a theory that any man of Rudy's ethnic background automatically has malice against personages with the plaintiffs skin color? That is what they have been teaching ay Yale and Harvard for at east a decade. It ain't 1980 any more......

Yeah, the "head spin" comment may be the type of hyperbole that got him into this mess to begin with. I wish I had the time to study to see what precisely the offending statements were. But these two "victims" were not "public figures" for libel purposes, so the bar is a lot lower. But, the amount is absurd. I would also like to know what the proof said Ruby and Shaye were actually doing if not helping to steal the election. Maybe the appellate opinion will be good reading. Rudy has guts, and it sounds like he still has 'em in spades. This is totally in keeping with Dim politics where wrongdoers get rewarded and good citizens get punished. God bless ya Rudy!!

What we are seeing is there are a few particular locations (counties) who are excessively biased and will render verdicts simply because the person is a Republican, or particularly if they are associated with Trump in any way. They are out to punish them.

Donald Trump's campaign thinks Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has ruined his chances of a future in politics by 'tainting his name' during the 2024 presidential campaign. 'He did this to himself,' Trump spokesperson Steven Cheung told DailyMail.com, referencing DeSantis' poll demise and his decision to turn on the ex-president on the campaign trail. DeSantis is trailing Trump for second place in the primary race by several dozen points – with the ex-president leading the rest of the field with usually around half of the support from voters.

Judge Beryl Howell had the time of her life presiding over the trial of Rudy Giuliani. Sitting perched above Courtroom Number 26 of the E. Barrett Prettyman Courthouse in Washington D.C., the Trump-hating Obama appointee looked on last week as an unhinged, bias and corrupted jury ordered Giuliani pay $148 million dollars to former Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shane Moss. If this ridiculous judgement is not the final proof needed for lawmakers to understand that a D.C. jury is beyond rehabilitation and a D.C. judge is NOT fit to reasonably judge Conservatives or Trump supporters, I do not know what is.
