Last January, Tucker Carlson featured a segment that challenged the theory that Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide. He was not alone. Many doubt the official narrative. What the doubters don’t realize is how the press used the cover-up of a 1995 brutal prison homicide to facilitate the cover-up of Epstein’s (very likely) homicide. On August 21, 1995, Kenneth Michael Trentadue was found dead in his allegedly suicide-proof cell at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma City. Pieces of his skull were missing in three different places. There were deep bruises underneath his arms, including bruises shaped like a person’s fingertips running along his biceps. His knuckles were deeply bruised and swollen.

At the end of the William Barr segment on the June 18 “Face the Nation,” co-moderator Robert Costa asked, “Trump was indicted and arraigned in the records case. Do you believe is a target, potentially in the January 6 case?
Barr said, “Yes. And, by the way, I defended him on cases that I think are unfair, like the one up in New York and so forth. I think the January 6 case will be a hard case to make because of First Amendment interest. But I am actually beginning to think they will pull the trigger on that. I would expect it to be this summer.”

Nineteen sixty-four was our last Father's Day in Cuba, but no one remembers much about that. We were just lucky that our father was out of a political prison. Many of many friends were not so lucky.

We have seen for some time how off-the-rails the FBI has become, a danger to a free society. More and more evidence now shows it’s not just the FBI. Every federal employee with a badge and gun seems to think he’s a law unto himself. This week the spotlight is on the IRS, and the Congress has to step up and rein the agency in. While Matt Taibbi was testifying before Congress on the administration’s extensive censoring of social media content, the IRS appeared at his door, ostensibly to question him about his taxes, but obviously to intimidate him for showing up government censorship.
Failed Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton cackled at the fact that she got away with her classified documents scandal while former President Trump faces damning prosecution by her party. When asked about the difference between her scandal and Trump's, Clinton didn't deny the special treatment she received, seemingly amused that she could be compared to the 45th president.
"That's a really good question; I can't figure that one out," the Democrat joked.
One of the chief characteristics of the stereotypical "banana republic" is that, whether or not it has bananas, it is not a republic, but rather a military dictatorship. "El presidente" may speak Spanish, Russian, or Korean. Soon, another language may be added: American English.
One of the core values that has kept us a republic (if we can keep it) is that of civilian control of the military armed forces. Generals and admirals take orders from the commander-in-chief, who is the president of the United States, just as surely as "buck privates" obey orders from the general.
It is shocking to witness the decline of that principle in practice.
The right to counsel for defendants is sacred to our democratic republic. Preventing defendants from obtaining counsel clearly adds to the darkness that the Washington Post endlessly tells us is fatal to democracy. A highly organized group of people is attempting to deny Donald Trump the right to legal counsel of his choosing by organizing an campaign of intimidation of lawyers who might be asked to serve his defense in the criminal matter he now faces. Multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Bomb Squad, are presently responding to an emergency situation at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The cause of the concern is a suspicious package that was discovered at the airport.
According to reports, around 9:30 p.m. PDT, the package was discovered before the official TSA security checkpoint in Terminal 1.
As a safety measure, parts of Terminal 1 have been evacuated while authorities are on-site investigating the package.
The area around the TSA checkpoint was cleared by airport police. Officers have blocked off the entrance road to the terminal. Due to the blockage, no one can get to their designated pickup locations, CBS News reported.
