RFK killer Sirhan Sirhan denied parole
by California board

SAN DIEGO — A California panel on Wednesday denied parole for Robert F. Kennedy assassin Sirhan Sirhan, saying the 78-year-old prisoner still lacks insight into what caused him to shoot the senator and presidential candidate in 1968, Sirhan’s lawyer said. That contradicted the decision by a different parole board two years ago when its members found Sirhan to be suitable for release. Gov. Gavin Newson rejected the decision in 2022, keeping him in state prison. Sirhan’s lawyer Angela Berry disputed he lacks insight and argued at Wednesday’s hearing that his psychiatrists have said for decades that he is unlikely to reoffend or be a danger to society.

No, parole board, Sirhan Bishara Sirhan does not lack "insight." He lacks innocence, and is in prison for murdering Sen. Robert F. Kennedy. Since the death penalty, which was deserved, was not applied, Sirhan's just desert* is to die in prison. *pronounced the same as "dessert" but spelled the same as the sandy place

Such a Parole Board in California these days is sure to be dominated by leftist and socialist Democrats. About the last thing that a California parole board would do is release the murderer of a past Democrat Presidential Candidate like Robert F. Kennedy. You have to hope it would be the same with any Republican appointed parole board.

60 years in prison and now 78, of course he lacks insight. What a stupid criteria. Just call it a 'till death' life sentence and be done with it.

Re #11: RFK, Jr. has not been one of those agitating for the paroling of Sirhan, who killed his father. Anyone who's curious ought to ask famed NFL All-Pro lineman Rosey Grier, who wrenched the .22 caliber pistol out of the assassin's (Sirhan's) hand. Incidentally, Grier, who is a pastor and now a Republican, is still with us, and could confirm who killed Bobby. He was right there. God bless you, big fella.

Am I the only one who thinks this is on the hypocritical side? IMO, Sirhan is being denied parole because he killed a democrat named Kennedy who would have probably won the nomination for president. Contrast that with John Hinkley, who shot Reagan, security and James Brady in the head and got out of the hospital where he spent his sentence. Hinkley should have gotten life without parole for what he did.

Parole board wanted him released a few years back - Nancy's nephew said no, likely to keep the Dem power brokers happy in case he ever wanted to run for President.

Sen. John Fetterman somehow cosponsored legislation on rail safety last week despite being voluntarily committed for severe depression at Walter Reed hospital. Now, Fetterman’s office has released photos clearly meant for those who raised questions over whether the senator was actually working or unelected staffers were doing the work and attributing it to him. On Monday afternoon, Adam Jentleson, Fetterman’s chief of staff, posted photos of him and the ailing senator having a “productive” meeting at Walter Reed, discussing the rail safety legislation. [Tweet] Jentleson, who has come under fire for blocking people who ask how Fetterman could be cosponsoring legislation while committed, claims the photos show he is

Joe Biden will almost certainly not attend the coronation of King Charles III. The official reason is that he is making a trip to Ireland that simply can’t be canceled. The media have focused on two reasons he won’t be there: (1) Eisenhower didn’t attend so there’s no tradition for presidents to attend, and (2) Biden hates the British. I think there are two more likely reasons: (1) Charles III’s coronation is an event without cachet, and (2) it’s impossible for Biden to withstand the rigors of the long coronation ceremony and any pre- and post-ceremony events. Indeed, my money is on the last reason being the real reason.
