A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a Catholic bishop who was found shot to death inside his Los Angeles home over the weekend.
Sheriff's deputies responded to Auxiliary Bishop David O'Connell's Hacienda Heights home Saturday afternoon, where they found the clergyman with a gunshot wound to his upper torso in his bed. The 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
The following day, deputies officially said they were investigating O'Connell's death as a murder before announcing on Monday that they have made an arrest.

Knowing the DA out there, he will be out on the streets in less than 24 hours with a $0 bail. And then he will get a "slap on the wrist" punishment at trial and be out of jail in less than a year.
I have decided if I ever want to kill someone, I am going to do it in one of the lie-beral run hell-hole cities (LA, Detroit, Chicago, NYC, etc), so I know it won't be more than an inconvenience in my life.

Interesting twist. Given that the guy who shot the bishop was married to a woman who knew the bishop and worked in his home, I'll put two and two together and say the the bishop was exactly celibate. Sometimes, I have more more sympathy for perps than others.

Hmmm. "The suspect was odd, known for digging in his yard late at night."
I think a bit of digging by the cops may be in order. Perhaps there are bodies to be found.

Prithee, what might Senor Medina's birthplace and immigration status be? Did he arrive, say, in the last two years?

Perhaps the dead guy was hitting up in the killers wife. Or he did hook up with her. Only God knows.

You can bet that experienced criminal investigators will be looking closely for a motive in this case, to find if the motive was triangular in intimate human terms? You never know until that angle is checked out. Clearly the husband had to be pretty worked up to perpetuate murder targeting a Catholic Bishop!

Probably hs housekeeper’s husband. Many housekeepers in LA are from Mexico, Central Amercan countries. With green cards.

Forget the salacious stuff. The motive would have been money. Theft of valuables. Unless the guy is a religious nut.

From rhe Los Angeles Times:
Authorities have arrested the husband of a woman who worked as a housekeeper for Bishop David G. O’Connell in connection with the slaying of the beloved Los Angeles cleric, officials said Monday.
L.A. County Sheriff Robert Luna identified Carlos Medina, 65, as the suspect in the slaying. He did not cite a motive but said a tipster had told authorities that Medina was acting strangely after the killing and claimed that the bishop owed him money.
Luna said detectives connected Medina to the crime from a video that showed a vehicle at the O'Connell home about the time of the killing. Weapons were found at Medina’s home, and Luna said ballistic tests are pending.
O'Connell, 69, was killed Saturday afternoon in the Catholic archdiocese-owned home in Hacienda Heights where he lived alone, authorities said.

All sorts of possibiliies here without being salacious. Was the housekeeper stealing and caught by the bishop? Was the housekeeper telling crazy hubby about "he probably has a lot of money stashed" or similar?
And I doubt that the killer is in the country legally - but that will be covered up by all the "news" outlets, who are no longer interested in truth, only "the narrative".
